Finally checked the original Suspiria off my watchlist and wow. The color! The vibes! The score!

Not gonna lie, I also love the Luca remake for entirely different reasons. But this blue and red nightmare was special.

It hasn't been the greatest day. So I slip into the album This is Hardcore like it's a warm bath, for probably the 100th time.

It's a complete emotional journey for when "it all turns out wrong." Things start dark and they get darker. But with Jarvis Cocker in your ear, you move thru it with him and come out of the album feeling released.

It reminds me of what's real versus what may only feel real. The lurid technicolor of the title track music video, for instance.

Anyone else out there gravitating towards the dark albums for your comfort listening?
