I think Hydealin is the world and Etherys the star/system. Like Earth and the Solar system. The mention shifte too from "Our world Hydealyn" to "Our star Etherys". It wouldn't much of a strech for us to keep having used a form Etherys as our star name, since we still use the word aether. Or that could be our echo translation shifting with our extending knowledge.

the planet, er, star has been called "Hydaelyn" for quite awhile now, so why is everyone calling it Etherys all the sudden? like i know it's what the ancients called it but they're dead lol. it's not their world anymore, plus it feels a nicer tribute to Hydaelyn/Venat to continue calling the star Hydaelyn.

like, imagine if when astronauts first went to the moon, they found some mysterious robed dude up there that asked where they're from, and the astronauts replied "Earth"
