So I was talking to Alex/Moonsheen a while ago and this came up (and has come up a few more times because frankly I find the idea really fascinating) but seriously

what if

just saying, what if

like, okay, we know that Leo himself calls the entity that gave him the All-Seeing Eyes was a demon.  It looks pretty demonic, right, what with the billionty eyes dripping off of it and the one in its mouth and everything but

did you know that seraphim are described as (from Wikipedia) as having “six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings.”

What if the fact that it took until volume 10 of the manga, from an outside source (rather than anyone affiliated with Libra) for Leo to learn that the entity that gave him the Eyes even had a name was because by misidentifying it as a demon, he set research focus on the completely wrong track

(I mean there’s also the way the entity poses its question to Leo and Michella.  “Who will see it through” / “who will witness to the end”

and the fact that it seems like people with the Eyes have basically been part of huge world-changing events in canon – everything from the Black Death to the Aztec sacrifices to WWII to the moon landing

and now there’s Leo

who is possibly poised to witness an attempted vampiric apocalypse.

Also at least in the Book of Revelation, when they talk about endtimes, they specifically mention two Witnesses, so what if there’s another on the side of the Blood Breeds.  What if there’s just another out there, period.  In v10 they don’t seem to think it’s that unlikely once the possibility is raised.)

I mean, it’s Nightow, and I kind of think he will either never give BBB a longer plot or else he will go balls-out what-the-hell, but I’m still enamored of this idea.  I want to write this fic someday.

well no I want to write a lot of fic someday and some of it would be about previous time periods but you know.  in general.

When Leo first meets Dr. Gamimozu, he looks really calm at first. Is that true? And if so, was it stated somewhere in the dialogue why he was calm?

Yes he does, though really he’s probably very nervous and distraught by the situation, but he tried his best to remain calm. This isn’t explicitly explained, but here are a couple of reasons why I think he remained so calm:

By this time he’s probably used to seeing things that other people can’t see. He does realize that he’s the only one who can see Dr. Gamimozu, and pretended nothing happened. (Remember how he put himself in danger in the phantom wagon arc because he saw something other people can’t see. I think he learned from that)

Michella was there. I don’t he’d want his sister to panic or panic in front of her.

At first he didn’t think he stood a chance against Dr. Gamimozu, who was holding Michella hostage (as well as other Libra member’s safety). Leo sort of gave up on fighting Dr. Gamimozu until Sonic showed up that he decided to take his chances.

Later in the arc he admits that he knew this day would come. However, we’re not sure if he means someone else with the Eyes of the Gods would show up, or leaving Libra, or surrender his eyes over to someone else, or sacrifice himself for Michella (or maybe all of the above). But he’s probably prepared himself for this kind of situation more or less.

Leo’s pretty smart, and you really see that in vol. 10 that he’s able to process the situation in his head without alarming the others, and coming up with a plan to fight against Dr. Gamimozu in a short time.

Thinking out loud

So I’ve seen a lot of speculation about Klaus’s brothers popping up in the tag and damn if I do not love every interpretation of them. Like the hot bara beefcake is strong in the Reinherz line, mm hmmmm~

Now a lot of the theories are that his brothers are probably dead because Klaus’s character archetype screams TRAGIC BACKSTORY. Dead brothers is sad, right?

But this is a Nightow manga. Dead brothers is sad, but at least there’s some level of closure there.

Nightow doesn’t do closure. Nightow does pain.

My money is on Klaus’s brothers being vampires.

And not just vampires. Vampire thralls to whoever nearly turned him too.

My money is on Klaus eventually having to kill one if not both of his brothers at some point.
