Finally, winter was here and Howl couldn't be more excited.

He loved the cold winter nights, the endless snow flakes that would float around in the sky until finally, they landed somewhere that soon would be covered whole in a matter of hours.

He was exceptionally more excited knowing he'd spend the snowy day with his love, [Y/N].

“Now Markl, please make sure you wipe your shoes once we finally go inside. You know how upset Calcifer becomes when we leave a mess of wet foot prints around."

Markl listened of course, but he still managed to get the whole floor covered in water, making Calcifer almost burning himself out of flames, seeing no point in moving forward in his life when no one seemed to listen to a simple instruction.

Howl laughed of course at his dear heart and looked towards his lover's window, coming up with a brilliant idea.

Howl, being the romantic person he was, grabbed a few snowballs and chucked them towards the window, wanting his princess' attention.

Only his brilliant idea, wasn't so brilliant.

He gasped in surprise when she popped her head out, having snow all over her hair and clothes.

He bursted out laughing, feeling his tummy begin to ache at how adorable she looked at that moment.

"Howl are you serious?? I just took a bath!"

"Well now you have taken another well needed one, darling! Besides, why'd you have the window open in the middle of a snow storm?"

He continued to tease, only receiving a glare and jumping back from the loud bang from the window as she closed her window shut.

"Oh man, she seemed pretty upset! She was saying earlier how she didn't want any funny business as she was painting something important..."

Both Howl and Markl slapped their foreheads in realization that they did promise to not be annoying today, which they obviously had broken that promise.

Howl quickly walked into the castle, ignoring Calcifer's whining that Howl was wearing his dirty shoes on the carpet.

"Darling? Open up please." Howl begged as he continued to knock on their shared bedroom door, twisting and turning the locked door handle.

Silence. That was all he got as an answer.

Of course he could've used magic to open the door easily, but he did NOT want to make her even more mad then she already was.

"My love, I'm sorry. I completely forgot about the promise, it completely slipped my mind. All I wanted was to tease you. I had no idea the window was open..."

"So you're saying that our promise meant nothing to you and that I'm easily forgotten?"

Howl's mouth open in shock, no words being able to muster out of him.

He stepped back a bit when the door opened, his mouth closing in a smile when he saw his beautiful girlfriend's smile.

"I'm only teasing, love. And I know, you were just wanting some fun. But you did promise me to calm down a bit hm?"

Howl ignored her pouting face and grabbed her, stuffing his face between her neck and taking a deep inhale of her scent.

"I'm sorry, my love. Please forgive me?"

[Y/N] laughed a bit and nodded her head, putting her hand on his head while soothing his hair down as it was everywhere.

"How about we force Calcifer to make us some hot tea while we watch the moon glisten as the snow falls hm?"

“This fucking sucks.” Looking at tifa, you frown as you both scanned the paper that was taped to the white board in front of class.

The two of you always were paired with one another. You two were the power duo when it came to cooking and exams during food and nutrition.

So why the heck were you guys changing partners in the middle of the semester?

The both of you were clearly upset, so used to being with another, going to each other’s houses for assignments, just overall having a great time.

Then Mr. Hewley just had to ruin it all. Maybe it was because you two would be the ones always answering questions, finishing quickly, etc. but why did you feel like being good students was becoming a punishment now.

“We all are comfortable with our partners, so why not mix it up to see how challenging this can be for everyone,” he waved his hand in the air slightly as he walked around slowly.

“We need to be uncomfortable in order to succeed. So, I have advised a new approach to this class. Being partnered up with a completely different person, different social groups, and different personalities.”

‘Who tf will I be paired with. I know everyone in this class, not by choice but still.’ You glanced around the room, frowning.

“The group to make the best Confit de Canard at the end of this semester ; one of the most difficult dishes to make, will not be needing to do finals.” Some of you ooh’d as Mr. Hewley’s finals were one of the most difficult to pass.

“Now then, all of you know your new partners so go and sit with one another.” Looking back at the sheet of paper, you were confused on who the heck is a cloud? Is this a real person? Was this a joke?

You felt tifa shift next to you, frowning as she waved you goodbye as she walked over to Yuffie.

You looked around again, seeing a tall figure huddled into themselves. The person had blonde spiked hair, piercings on the eyebrow and ears, along with dark clothes.

‘Is this him?’ You slowly walked over, tapping his shoulder. He hummed, looking up and you saw bright turquoise eyes you’ve seen before.

His fists tighten at the sight before him. Seeing her, with him, destroyed him entirely.

Just last Christmas, he was with her. Happy and content, but this year, he felt betrayed and heartbroken.

He clenched his jaw, walking away as you stood near him and wondering where he was going. You found it weird how he was so excited to spend this Christmas with you, but when his eyes landed on the group ahead, his entire being changed and his aura wasn’t the excited and cheery one that was once there.

But still, you greeted everyone and oddly enough, everyone was extremely friendly with you. Especially the girl who was eyeing your almost boyfriend since you stepped foot in front of the cabin.

You wondered when he would come back after making yourself comfortable in your shared room and unpacking. You even went as far as unpacking his things and ordered some snacks to have once he arrived.

You bit your lip debating on if you should go and check out how he was doing but once you saw how late it was, you knew your answer.

You walked softly out of the room, afraid to disturb anyone who was already asleep when you heard hushed whispering coming from the kitchen.

Peeking your head out, you saw him with her.

“Listen, as much as your letter was absolutely breathtaking, I do not return those feelings anymore. I’m with Thomas now and you’re with your new lover. It isn’t fair for them for you to be so drawn to me like this. It’s been a year, Diluc. Please just get over me.”

Chewing on your nail, you watched curiously as you saw the way he gripped her hands in his. The way his lip quivered and his cheeks a rosy pink.

The back of your throat burned and it was almost too hard to swallow as he gripped her cheek gently to face him.

“I was a fool for falling for you, Cindy. But if you kissed me now I know you’d fool me again.”

You gulped, pressing your back to the wall and sighed in sadness as nothing else was discussed between them, but you knew what they were doing.

So you did what you could at that moment. You walked away with tearful eyes and chest full of regret for even believing he was over her.

Sitting out on the porch, you gripped your phone debating if you should call your older brother to come and get you. You saw no point in being here if he was so undecided on who he wanted.

You stopped a loud sob leave your mouth with your hand, clenching your jaw in anger that you were such a fool for trusting him with your heart like this.

You’ve heard the stories of his ex lover from his brother. How destroyed he was because of her, but you never would’ve thought this out of all things would happen. That he could easily fall back in love with her the moment the two of you stepped foot out of his truck.

Was he even ever in love with you? Did he ever stop loving her?

The answers to those questions seemed so clear now that more tears burned your eyes to release.

Wiping your sweaty palms on your jeans, you got up and swung the door open, only to jump back in fright that he was standing in front of you now.

“[Y/N]…you heard everything, didn’t you?” He spoke softly but you ignored the way he looked at you.

“Yeah and it’s clear you guys like each other so I don’t see the point in being here anymore. If you wanted a rebound, you should’ve been honest and tell me instead of stringing me along like an idiot.”

You tried to walk past him, but he quickly grabbed your hands in distraught as he needed to let you know how he truly felt now.

“Just give me one second to explain.”

“There isn’t anything to explain, Diluc. I heard you clearly so I don’t need to hear you say that you don’t need me anymore.” You couldn’t hold back the fat tears that were now rolling down your face and the quivering of your lips as you stared into his beautiful and deadly eyes.

“Listen to me. Yes, what I did was so incredibly wrong and I’m so sorry for doing that to you. It was wrong of me to be so upset seeing her and making it seem like you were a second choice but you’re not. Believe me.”

Seeing the look of despair in his eyes, your heart couldn’t handle leaving him like this so you let him continue.

“It’s been a year since she broke my heart. I gave her my heart and I was such a fool for thinking there was something there still when there isn’t. I gave her my heart but she gave it away. This year, I’m giving it to someone special. To someone I truly love and so incredibly infatuated with.”

Swallowing slowly, he grabbed your form and gave you a tight hug.

“I love you. I’m sorry for breaking your heart, but understand I needed closure to truly get her out of my life forever when you’re the one I truly want and need. I didn’t kiss her..”

Crying into his chest, you held onto him tightly, afraid he would runaway. You couldn’t stay mad at him, because this was the first time he ever told you he loved you.

You would’ve liked it better if it wasn’t due to the fact you were doubting your relationship, but it’ll do for now.

If only you knew the ache in his chest that she was gone, forever now.

THE BRIGHT LIGHT from the sun illuminated the many people that walked passed one another down below.

Sometimes it was weird when you think that so many people lived their own lives. They had different people that they loved, hated, cared for.

Everyone had unique experiences and stories that were different than everyone else, and we only see them for just a second in our lives, maybe never seeing them again.

It brought a sense of sadness if you really think about. Maybe you're scrolling through social media and seeing comments from people you may never see again.

It might've seemed dramatic, but the feeling of just wanting to make sure that everyone would find their happiness soon lingered into the girl's brain.

Everyone deserves to be happy, for some who caused other's pain or absolute hurt, didn't deserve a second chance, but majority deserved nothing but happiness.

"Can you stop yanking me so much? You're gonna rip my arm!"

The blond huffed as he felt an ache in his arm as he glared at the back of his friend's head, wanting to just rip his arm away from their hold and tell them off.

She ignored his whine and continued to hold his hand tightly as she passed by many people on the street.

"Yeah yeah, the more you whine, the longer I'm gonna hold your hand."

She spoke back as she turned the corner quickly, almost making the boy hit the side of the building with his shoulder.

"WE'RE HERE!!" She yelled, letting go of his hand and running off.

‘Since when does this b*tch run?’

He stared at her form disappearing around the corner, making him even more annoyed than before.

Sure, he thought it was annoying how she dragged him like a rag doll, but now that she was gone and leaving him all alone, he didn't like it one bit.

"AT LEAST WAIT FOR ME, A*SH*LE!"

He ran and pushed by the people that were in his way towards the direction the girl went as he said curse words beneath his breath.

"BAKUBRO!" Another blond and a red head ran towards him, tackling in a tight hug.

"GET OFF ME, IDIOTS! YOUR FUCKING SWEAT WILL GET ALL OVER ME NOW!!"

"Says the one who needs sweat to work his quirk."

Another boy chuckled from beside them, playing around with the guitar strings that need some adjustments.

"Shut it, flat face."

"Well someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed, huh?" Mina rested her head on the giggling girl's shoulder as they watched their friend complain, trying to get the two boys off of him.

The two girls began to talk amongst themselves, completely unaware of the boys whispering to each other.

"You like her, huh” Kirishima smirked as he nudged his best friend.

"The f*ck?!"

"When are you gonna tell her?! It's clear that the two of you like one another, just get it over with already!

"It's not that simple."

Katsuki gave a small glance over to the girls, feeling a rush of happiness flow through in his veins as he saw how cute she looked.

"Well sooner or later someone will come in and ask her out!"

The group of boys looked over to see the famous Todoroki Shoto giving a clear look at Y/N with a small smile on his perfect face.

"I'll f**king murder him!"

"Shush idiot, they'll hear you!"

Katsuki rolled his eyes angrily as he looked back at the pretty girl across the room.

Only to be met with her beautiful eyes. She looked so perfect.

Giving him a small wave, Y/N gave a bright smile towards the blond as he flipped her off in return.

They both thought of the other at the same time as they watched one another from different sides of the room.

He rubbed his ears, feeling his piercings on his ears and huffed.

He didn't even think about putting on a shirt as he made his way towards where his wife was standing.

She could feel a deep blush grow on her cheeks as she admired her husband's physique the more he got closer to her.

He neared her, gripping both sides of her face in his hands and leaned down, kissing her plump lips.

He bent down on his knees and gave a tender kiss on her tummy, feeling the joyful kicks of his son.

"Good morning, Katsu."

Red eyes shot open and the sheets around his body were quickly on the other side of the bed in a matter of seconds as a special oni woke up in a hurry.

He noticed something was missing rather quickly once he didn’t feel his cuddle partner on their side of the bed as he tried feeling around for her in his sleep.

He couldn’t feel her warmth anymore, noticing that even the bed didn’t hold any evidence she was even sleeping next to him the night before.

He knew something even more wrong was going on when he wasn’t woken up with her soft lips on both of his cheeks and a final one on his own pair of lips.

He sniffed a bit, smelling if her signature perfume was even lingering in the air and once he noticed that too was missing, he quickly jumped out of bed.

He didn’t care that it was freezing out with the soft yet freezing winds of Inazuma and he wore nothing but his pj pants.

He was so flabbergasted and annoyed she left without saying goodbye.

He walked around his small house and huffed seeing no sign of her besides his boys that were walking towards him.

“Boss we were just talking about yo-“

Itto sniffed around a bit more and pouted as yet again, her signature (favorite fruit) scent was nowhere.

He kicked a peddle near his foot but quickly regretted it as he grabbed his toes in pain because he completely forgot to even put his shoes on.

His mind was racing with so many questions and he quickly walked back inside, ignoring the confused looks from his gang.

“What’s wrong with you?”

Itto froze in his spot, slowly turning around with bugged out eyes as he saw his lover chewing a lavender melon, completely oblivious to what the poor man was just going through seconds before.

“What the heck is wrong with YOU!!!???” He asked in irritation as he began to tell everything that just happened to him, in complete exaggeration of course.

“And then I almost died stepping on a stupid rock after kicking it in frustration when I couldn’t find you! I thought you left me for good and never to return because you always ALWAYS give me my kisses every single time you leave somewhere without me! You kept my kisses hostage!!!”

You rolled your eyes, finishing your melon and grabbing his hand, yanking him to your shared room.

“I went to the bathroom and just went in the kitchen for a melon you oinker. I literally gave you your kisses but you were out for so long last night I guess you slept through it.”

Itto opened his mouth to quickly rebuttal that statement when he suddenly remembered he did feel your lips but he thought it was all a dream.

“You big baby, lay down.” You giggled and climes on top of him, laying her head on his big chest as he hasn’t spoken a word at all to you.

“Sorry baby, I just was worried for you is all. I usually always wake up when you do which is understandable why i didn’t last night but next time, just slap me or something so I know you didn’t forget to give me my kisses.”

You hummed and wrapped your arms around him like a koala.

“Of course, I love you.”

“I love you too…I just find it funny how you didn’t get me a melon.”
