I had a friend ask me one time, "Why do you always say 'ow' when you move?' And then I had to explain that the 'ow' is almost unconscious for me at this point, having suffered from chronic pain for 37 years. I said 'ow' every time I move because it hurts every time I move. Not as bad every time, of course. But it always hurts. It never doesn't hurt. It's never going to 'get better'. I may have a good day and be able to do something and then the next day be hardly able to move. That's just how it is and I'm used to it. The only time in recent history that I was completely zero on the pain scale was after .5mcg of dilaudid after surgery. And even then, I was still in pain about two hours later (not from the surgery, to be clear).

wish abled people would understand fluctuating disabilities more. i told my boss my knee was better today than friday and she's like "I'm glad it's slowly getting better" but it's not Getting Better, it's just having a good day (and tbh it's worse now than it was when I said that) and tomorrow it'll probably be unable to bear my weight again. like. stop thinking of these things as a straight line progression because they're not and I'm tired to having to explain every bad day like it's some bigass new problem when it's just. the nature of these things

I’m not gonna say I was looking for something else entirely because I was in fact trying to find a gif of Chris Evans when I came across this, but this is not what I was looking for. And yet it is possibly the best thing I’ve ever found. 

What the hell even is Chris Evans. What the hell.
