(I love this gif so much like----)
The rest of the day went perfectly as planned, except for Seokjin who found himself really lonely without Nayoung being present at the office. His day seemed a lot longer than usual as he was waiting for the clock to hit 10:00 so that he could dart out of the office and head home to check on everyone.
Hyemi felt herself sighing from her seat at the front desk as her eyes traveled to the room Nayoung had been occupying for a little more than a year. She had been watching Jungkook, Jimin, Hoseok, and Namjoon carry some boxes out of her room earlier, and her mind was trying to process that she was leaving.
She wasn’t surprised in the slightest that she was leaving; she was actually really grateful. Seokjin would quit slacking, and she would quit making mistakes because of jealousy issues. She didn’t even bother clarifying it with Seokjin, but the incident last week was actually a complete accident. Well, it was more or less.
Hyemi took a deep breath as she was walking down the hall, heading into the room next to Nayoung’s. On her way there, she peaked in the door, noticing that she was asleep with an empty food tray next to her. She sighed and went ahead and entered the room to pick up the try and check her medicine. It was running low, so she just decided to take it to the back and save one of the other nurses the trouble of changing it.
She exited the room and hurried to check on the patient she was originally going to, and soon after that, she left the room to head to the back. She was looking for medicine for Nayoung and the other patient as she grabbed them both and ran them into their respective rooms.
It wasn’t until the next day when she realized she had switched the medications and what she had done to Nayoung’s health. She was nearly fired for the incident when she fessed up to it being her, but she just got off with a warning. One more slip up and she was gone.
She wanted to be mad at Nayoung for the incident- she wanted to tell Seokjin what really happened. She knows that Nayoung found out it was her who last had her medicine, and if Seokjin hadn’t figured it out from her, Hyemi would be shocked. At this point, her relationship with Seokjin was over, and nothing could change that. Not even a miracle would make him forgive her.
While the thoughts were upsetting, she easily got over it. Things were about to get better because Nayoung is gone and Hyemi was moving into another department away from Seokjin tomorrow.
Despite all that happened, she glanced over at Seokjin who was staring at the clock. He looked like he was trying to move the hands with his mind, which made Hyemi roll her eyes. A small smile was on her face as she looked down at her hands.
“Maybe I could have someone like him one day.”
***
A few weeks had gone by and everything was running smoothly. Nayoung was adjusting perfectly to staying at the apartment, and she even started to grow closer to all of them. Jimin would always take her out to eat somewhere when she was hungry, and they would sometimes set up a picnic at the park. Jungkook continued to introduce her to new games, and he even got her into playing Pokemon and trading Pokemon with him. Taehyung was very lenient with her as time went by, and he quit worrying like Seokjin would. He would mainly watch anime with her when she was bored or when she wanted to hang out with him.
Yoongi was busy a lot of the time, but when he wasn’t, he would show her some of his tracks that he was working on. She would sometimes praise the track, and sometimes she would help him with lyrics when he was having trouble. Hoseok was working a good bit, but he was mainly working during the night and sleeping during the day. When he would wake up in the afternoon, he would try and do something with Nayoung, but he never cared what it was. It would mainly consist of scrolling down social media and looking at cute animal videos until they couldn’t find anything they hadn’t seen before. As for Namjoon, he wasn’t as busy on tracks, but he was balancing jobs, so he was hardly home. When he was home, he would try and teach her some English words that would be easy for her to say, and even shared some stories of adventures in America that she would listen to in awe.
Mostly, though, she would hang around Seokjin when he got home. She didn’t get to see him as much as she would have liked, but she took an interest in trying to cook for him before he got home. Sometimes, she would wait for him to get home and they would cook together, but she found it more pleasing to surprise him with a meal and watch his face light up at the taste. She also took to doing his laundry for him, and sometimes she would even help the other guys, and scold them when they forget to get dishes out of their rooms.
Things around the place had been settling down, and everyone was getting used to having Nayoung in their life. Everyone and everything was content for three months up until Nayoung had been informed of her family.
She hadn’t wanted to talk about them to any of the guys, not even Seokjin, until he found out that her mother had been staying at the same hospital he worked at. He didn’t realize it until one day, one of his patients with alzheimer's disease started talking to him like he was someone else. The name Nayoung slipped out of her mouth, which caught him off guard. He was thinking about it for the rest of the day, unable to work. After a few hours, the old lady’s son came up to the hospital, and Seokjin asked him if he could talk to him for a few minutes.
He didn’t tell the son or the old woman that he knew Nayoung, he just asked him who she was and why she was talking about her earlier. Her son had stated that he has a sister who is 4 years older than him, and she ran away from home when she was 20. She told him the night before that she couldn’t stand being around her mom because of how abusive she could be when someone tried to help her do things she couldn’t do anymore.
She went missing, but the cops wouldn’t do anything to look for her since she ran away on her own free will and since she was old enough to be on her own. After he got done talking to Seokjin about it, he had tears staining his face as he told him that he wished he could see her again.
He was afraid to tell Nayoung, but when he got home, she could sense something was wrong as they all ate dinner. She asked Taehyung if she could use their shared room to talk about what was bothering him.
Once he came clean with it, Nayoung got really emotional. He was afraid that she was being reminded of the bus crash, and he tried to comfort her the best he could. She cried into his shoulder, and with words that were hard to understand, she told him that the night she ran away was when she got into the bus accident.
It took her a few days, but she calmed down enough to explain to Seokjin what all had happened in a story similar to her brother’s. She had been really worn down by her mom, and she planned on running away for a few weeks to calm down. After the crash, she lost all will to ever see her family again, and she was afraid to show her face around them. The rest of the guys soon found out and came to comfort her the best they could. They had all been worried about her the past few days, but Seokjin wouldn’t tell them what was wrong until she was okay with it.
Not even two weeks later, the old woman, Nayoung’s mom, passed away in her hospital bed. Nayoung wasn’t upset at the news, but more of nervous. She wanted to see her dad and brother again. She thought about going to her mom’s funeral for her mom, even if she wasn’t the best one in her last few years.
Not only did she attend the funeral, but the rest of the guys went with her. She was really nervous, nearly hysterical about it, and they all wanted to be there to support her. When she first arrived, all her distant family didn’t recognize her, and she wasn’t surprised. She hadn’t met them but a few times in her childhood and most of their names were forgettable. She only knew a few people who were there, and she figured the only ones that would remember her were her mom’s closest friends and her immediate family.
While she showed up to the funeral as her daughter, she didn’t sit with the rest of the family. She didn’t even think they knew she was there. She even debated not even talking to them, but the rest of the guys encouraged her to speak to them. They didn’t really notice her the entire time, but right after the funeral, most of the people left for the burial sight right away.
Some of the guys left, like Yoongi and Namjoon who were pressed for time, but the rest of them stayed with her. They all continued sitting in the back as Nayoung stared at her hands in distress. She didn’t know how she was going to talk to them, and she was worried about what they would say to her.
Her dad and brother eventually got up from the front, both looking worn out. On their way down the aisle, her brother spotted Seokjin at the back of the room, holding a girl really close to comfort her. He was surprised to see him there as he walked up and smiled to him, “Doctor Seokjin… you came?”
Seokjin gave a small smile as Nayoung froze in her position. She was looking down at her hands, and she was too afraid to look up. His arm around her tightened as she took a deep breath. The rest of the guys around them watched Seokjin and Nayoung’s brother as Seokjin started to reply.
“Neh, I come to most of my patient’s funerals,” he nodded, “But that’s not exactly why I came to this one.”
Nayoung’s brother looked confused and looked to the rest of who was with him. His eyes stopped on the nervous girl before him as his mind started to play tricks on him.
“Jihun…” Nayoung spoke really softly as her brother looked at her with surprise. His mind had to be… “Jihun… Mianhaeyo…”
Jihun, Nayoung’s brother, looked at her with the same expression for several seconds before he looked back to Seokjin, “D-Doctor…?”
Seokjin looked at Nayoung and gave her a reassuring squeeze as she wiped some tears from her face. She needed to look up- she couldn’t hide her face forever. Slowly but surely, she looked up at Jihun, taking a deep breath. Seokjin’s arms loosened a little as Jihun’s eyes got wider and wider.
From behind, her father walked up to his son to see what was going on, only to have his eyes lock on Nayoung.
“N-Nayoung…” he said with red, wide eyes. A shaking hand went to rub his forehead while his brain was processing, “Omo, Nayoung… you…”
Jihun launched himself forward and embraced her in a hug as her eyes widened for a second, adjusting her mind to what just happened. A slow smiled started to creep on her face as a tear fell from her eye, and she moved her arms up to hug him back.
The rest of the afternoon she spent with her family and Seokjin as the other guys went home after making sure Nayoung was alright. Seokjin explained most of what had happened to save Nayoung from talking about it, fearing that if she did, she might have issues or flashbacks to the crash.
The day ended on a good note as they thanked Seokjin for all he had done for them, and just like that, the day was over. Nayoung stayed in touch with her brother and dad and continued to apologize for worrying them. She didn’t have any issues with either of them because it was her mom that drove her out, so there weren’t any hard feelings on either side.
A few years began to pass as life moved on in the apartment. Yoongi and Namjoon were being promoted in their company, so both of them decided to move out and into their own smaller apartment closer to their studio. Hoseok had found himself a girlfriend fairly soon after Nayoung had moved in, and after only a matter of months, he had proposed to her. (She said yes, of course- you can’t say no to Hoseok) He decided to move out into an apartment that she moved into with him right after they got married, but their place isn’t too far from the old apartment.
Jimin was in between girlfriends and still staying at the apartment with Seokjin, Nayoung, and Taehyung. Jungkook had decided to move out on his own when he started to seriously date his current girlfriend, but he still visits the old place to hang out with anyone who happens to be there. Taehyung had decided to just stay until Seokjin and Nayoung decided they were getting married, and Jimin and he were planning on getting a place with just the two of them.
Currently, about 3 years later, Seokjin and Nayoung were out having a picnic date on his day off. Taehyung and Jimin tagged along, as well as Jungkook and Hoseok, but they were all off doing something else. They all had been playing some weird version of frisbee golf when Jungkook looked over at Nayoung and Seokjin. He spotted Seokjin’s signal as he got everyone else’s attention.
Nayoung was reading her book while laying next to him, sighing and smiling up at him for a second. He smiled down at her in response, and she looked back at her book, reading a little more. She turned the page of her book and found something stuck to the next page. It was a sticky note with a little phrase written on it in English that she could barely read.
Seokjin had Namjoon to thank for writing these notes for him.
She eventually was able to read it, “Oppa… this note says ‘behind the rose bush’... did you put it there? And since when did you learn English?”
Seokjin’s eyebrows raised, “Mwoh? I don’t know how to write in English. I don’t know what that is…”
Nayoung sat up and took the note out, rereading it to make sure that’s what it said. Meanwhile, the other guys were all hiding something behind a rosebush that was several feet away from Nayoung and Seokjin.
Sighing, she stood up and scanned the park, spotting a rose bush that she was assuming the note was talking about. He stood up and followed her in the direction, giving a thumbs up to Taehyung and Jungkook who were trying to act naturally as Hoseok and Jimin ran from behind some trees.
They eventually reached the bush and she found a bouquet of roses in the bush with a note on top of them. This note was also in English as she attempted to translate it again.
“This one says something about a gazebo…” she mumbled and then turned to Seokjin with the bouquet in her hand, “Oppa, quit playing dumb with me. What is this? What are you up to?”
Seokjin took the note from her, “Are you sure this says gazebo? I don’t even think there is one here…”
“Oppa!” Nayoung laughed slightly, “You’re ignoring my question!
Seokjin just sighed and handed her the note, “Alright alright, you got me,” he raised his hands up in surrender. “I planted these notes, but they were supposed to be for your birthday in a few days… I didn’t know you were bringing that book today, so I got the guys to help me out and just give you your present early.”
Nayoung slightly frowned, “Oh… I’m sorry Oppa… You should have said something to me about bringing a different book.”
“No, that would have looked suspicious,” Seokjin shook his head, “let’s just go to the gazebo over here and I’ll give you your gift. I would make you wait, but since it’s already started, we might as well keep going.”
Nayoung studied his face to make sure this was the truth this time, and he seemed pretty serious. She nodded and felt the excitement fill her as she started wondering what the present could be. He tended to really spoil her with the gifts he gave her for special occasions.
They made it to the gazebo, and it was decorated with a bunch of purple and red petals. There was a banner that said “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NAYOUNG!” that looked like it was homemade by the guys. She giggled at it and continued to look around the area and smile. There were a few pictures of her and the guys having fun doing various things, and it made her slightly miss those times.
She did notice that there was no present laying around, so she turned out to ask Seokjin, but she was stopped short. Her eyes widened and her hands covered her mouth as she felt tears on their way.
Seokjin was down on one knee with the most beautiful ring she had ever seen. She moved closer to him and felt the tears fall as he just sweetly smiled at her.
“I love you, Jagiya…” he almost whispered, “Will you, the love of my life, marry me?”
Nayoung didn’t even bother trying to say anything as she furiously nodded her head. She practically pulled up Seokjin and hugged him really tight before letting him go to put on the ring. She stared at it for a few seconds before looking up at Seokjin.
“That’s not your present by the way,” he smiled, “That was just a lie to get you to not suspect that I was proposing.”
Nayoung wiped some tears from her eyes and sniffed as she embraced him again, spotting their friends in the background. Jimin was holding his phone, probably filming them, while the other three were either cheering or clapping.
About 10 months after proposing, they had their wedding held around that same gazebo in the park, and they only invited close family and friends. The process of it wasn’t too stressful, and the wedding was cute and sweet as they exchanged ‘I do’s and talked with the family and friends that attended.
They all had to head to a different building for the cake and bouquet toss, but it was nothing too special.
Sitting at their own table was all of the guys and Nayoung, and they were all having their small conversations. Nayoung couldn’t help but smile at everyone being back together again, and she was reminiscent of when they all lived under the same roof. Part of her missed those days, but she was happy to be moving her life along. They were about to sell the old apartment that they had been in for years, and Jimin and Taehyung are moving into a different building.
Seokjin and Nayoung, on the other hand, are getting an actual house together, but one that’s not too far from everyone so that they could visit.
“Nayoung…” Jimin spoke up, turning everyone’s attention to the two of them, “I really need to thank you for something that I don’t think anyone realized.”
She raised an eyebrow as everyone else at the table got confused as well.
“While we’re all distant most of the time currently, when Seokjin Hyung met you, I feel like everyone’s concern for you brought us all together. We all wanted to help you and support Hyung, and in doing that, we starting doing a lot together. You are the main reason we all are still in contact even in moving out of the same living space.”
All the guys were silently agreeing as Nayoung smiled, “Jiminie Oppa, I don’t think I’m the main cause. If anything, I should be thankful for all of you helping me find myself again. And I’m also thankful for all the gifts that I was given that I didn’t totally deserve.”
Taehyung shook his head, “You need to give credit where credit is due, Nayoung! I agree with Jimin. I think we all do.”
“I think,” Namjoon cut everyone off, “Instead of throwing a bunch of praise back and forth, we should enjoy our time together right now. It’s rare that we’re all in the same place at the same time. Credit does need to be given to Nayoung, but we shouldn’t waste precious time here.”
“Yeah,” Jungkook agreed, “I agree because I feel like Hoseok is about to fly out of his chair to his wife if we aren’t careful.”
“I just want her to be here!” Hoseok cried, “Why does she have to be way over there instead of with me? Look! She looks so sad without me!”
“She looks just fine,” Yoongi rolled his eyes, “She’s having a good time talking to Jungkook’s fiance.”
Jungkook’s face turned red as she shot a look at Yoongi. “Hush Hyung! I haven’t proposed yet…”
“But you’re about to~,” Seokjin sang as Jungkook shushed him, too.
“Aigoo…” Jimin said as he rested his chin in the palm of his hand and his elbow on the table, “Everyone is finding love and I’m like a potato in the sea of attractive people.”
“Oh please!” “Jimin, there is not one thing wrong with your looks.” “You just need to let life happen.” “I want to slap you from calling yourself ugly.” “You’re not the only single one here, anyway!”
Nayoung giggled at everyone’s arguments as she shook her head. It felt like old times again.
Seokjin nudged her a little and their eyes locked. They smiled at each other and leaned in for a soft kiss. Everyone’s yelling was drowned out as they pulled away and Nayoung’s head rested on Seokjin’s shoulder.
“Oppa…” she whispered to him, “Thank you for coming into my life…”
He smiled and kissed the top of her head, taking in the smell of her strawberry shampoo mixed with hairspray.
“Thank you for opening up to me, Jagi…” he whispered in response as the rest of the guys quit arguing and looked to the two lovebirds who were on another planet.
Seokjin wrapped his arms around her and kissed her head, being careful to not mess up her hair do. He started to reflect on everything that led up to now, and glanced around the room at all of his friends, most of them watching him. He rested his head on Nayoung’s and sighed of contentment, remembering the first time she let him hug her. It didn’t even take words for me to fall in love with you.
OMG! I cannot believe I finished this! I can’t tell you how bad I felt for leaving this story to die, but now that I’ve actually finished it, I feel so much better! If you’ve written before, you know what I mean when I say there’s nothing more satisfying and upsetting at the same time than finishing a long story you’ve written. Thank you all my readers who stuck it out until the end, and thank you to those who decided to read it because it’s finally finished (that would have been me xD) I hope you stick around for future stories!

Jerk Barista (AU!Yoongi x OC) Part 5
I’m actually double uploading today since I didn’t realize that this one is seriously short... Also, I just wanted to clairify that Yoongi was originally the guy that Mari was set up with, but it was hard to continue the plot from there, so I changed it to Jimin! In part 3 it said something that I forgot to fix, so sorry about that!

It was awkward between Yoongi and Jimin the next morning when they both ended up in the kitchen at the same time. Yoongi was about to head to the shop again since Jungkook was still sick, and he was not looking forward to seeing Mari there. He had no idea how she would react, and part of him just wishes he could avoid talking about it for the rest of his life.
Jimin wanted to start saying something to him, but he had no idea what to even say to him.
“Hey man, sorry for dating the girl you’re in love with,” yeah, that would go over well with him.
“You should do your own d*** laundry for once,” Yoongi broke the silence, “I’m sick of doing it.”
Jimin took a deep breath and nodded, “Neh, I’ll do it when I get home.”
The rest of the morning was silent between the two as Jimin tried to find words to say. No matter how hard he tried, nothing was coming to mind, and it was frustrating him.
It wasn’t like it was his fault that he ended up on a date with her, anyway. If anyone was to blame, it was Taehyung who told him to go on a date with her, or Yoongi who didn’t even bother to tell either of them who the girl he had fallen for was.
“Hyung,” Jimin sounded a little angrier than he would have liked, “you really shouldn’t be mad at me. I didn’t know she was the girl you liked, and if I had, I wouldn’t have gone on a date with her.”
Yoongi totally ignored Jimin as he headed to the bathroom to brush his teeth. Jimin followed him despite knowing it would annoy him.
“I won’t go on another date with her,” Jimin said, “Even if I did like her, I would never break the bro code. Losing a friend like that is not worth it.”
Yoongi continued to ignore him as Jimin was starting to get annoyed.
“Hyung, you should answer me,” you could hear the anger in his voice as Yoongi glanced at him in the mirror. He finished brushing his teeth and then turned toward him, waiting for him to move out of his way.
Jimin didn’t budge, and Yoongi’s patience was growing thin. “You’re blocking my path.”
“I know,” Jimin shrugged. Yoongi glared at him and took a deep breath.
“Jimin, knock it off. You’re pissing me off, and I don’t want to talk to you right now. I already have to talk to Mari later.”
Jimin sighed and decided to move out of the way before he upset him too much. Yoongi was out the door nearly seconds after he moved passed Jimin, and he just sighed in his place next to the door.
“Aish, I hope she doesn’t pull anything on him that makes him more upset.” he mumbled, walking to his room to change into his work clothes.
I hope it was still enjoyable! Thank you for reading!

Jerk Barista (AU!Yoongi x OC) Part 3
Okay, I lied again, this is not the last part... I’m sorry! Dx I kept getting ideas and the more of them that I got, the longer the story is getting. I have enough written for at least two more parts, and possibly more than that, This story probably won’t exceed 7 or 8 parts, though (hopefully) Though writing this made me remember about my other unfinished story I need to post the last part to called Emotionless... I don’t want to become those blogs that start a story and then never finishes it! With this said, I hope you enjoy! You’re amazing for reading this! ^-^ Genre: I guess this is somewhat (overall) angst with a fluffy twist (but the fluff won’t come until the end) Words: 2000+ Part 2 - Part 4

Yoongi was sitting on his couch when he heard his cell phone ring from the other room. He debated for a few minutes on whether he was going to actually get up and get it, or if he was going to stay there and continue his nap. It seemed like a given to just ignore it and call back later, but his curiosity won the mental battle he was having with himself.
He threw himself up and walked to his kitchen, running his fingers through his hair to try and fix it. With half open eyes, he picked up his phone and read the caller ID. His half open eyes shot wide open as he swore under his breath. Without missing a beat, he answered the call and laughed nervously.
“Hyung-”
“I need you down at the shop,” Seokjin’s voice shot through the other end, “Jungkook called in sick and Mari can't work the shop alone.”
“Are you too busy to?” Yoongi swallowed as Seokjin sighed and cleared his throat.
“Mari is having a bad day and I have to go to a friend’s dad’s funeral. I promised I would. I don't want to leave her here alone.”
“Hyung, I think she would rather work the shop alone than work with me…”
“If I thought that was true, I wouldn’t have called you. Be down here in thirty?”
Yoongi looked at the clock and groaned, causing Seokjin to get impatient on the other end.
“Yoongi, please?” Seokjin said in a pleading manner, causing Yoongi to run his fingers through his hair.
“If she’s having a bad day, then why can’t I just work the shop alone?” He tried suggesting.
“No, Mari needs the money. I don’t have time to explain everything, I just need you here soon, arraseo?”
“...Arraseo. I’ll be there as soon as I can, Hyung.”
With that, the phone call ended and Yoongi found himself in an awkward position. He hasn’t seen Mari in nearly 6 months and hasn’t heard a word about her either. All he knows is that she’s in between jobs, so she’s been working at the shop with Jungkook.
He looked back at the clocked and groaned yet again at how early it was. He headed to the bathroom, only to hear the shower running already.
Yoongi swore under his breath, “Jimin, you need to hurry up in there!”
“Yoongi Hyung? What are you doing up this early? You don’t work at the shop today, do you? I thought it was the night shift job today?” Jimin’s voice came through the door as Yoongi just impatiently bangged on the door, “If you really wanna know, I’ll tell you before work tonight. Now hurry!”
“Okay okay! Sheesh, you need to calm down Hyung, I’m almost done.”
***
The second Yoongi stepped into the shop, all he could smell was coffee beans. The place looked relatively busy with a good sized line of people waiting for coffee. At the sight of the line, he rushed to the front and used the door to get behind the counter.
Mari was smiling and taking people’s orders while checking on other patron’s coffee. She hadn’t really changed since he last saw her, except she looked more mature and her expressions were less careless than before. The way she kept herself was cleaner and more put together, so much so that Yoongi couldn’t really believe that was the same person he knew pretty well several months ago.
“Min Yoongi, I need your help,” she shot at him as his attention was moved to the task at hand. Their eyes met for a moment, but Mari didn’t let it stay long as she handed him the latest order they had just received.
Yoongi nodded and grabbed the order, starting to make the coffee that the customer had ordered.
They had a rush for a good thirty minutes before the place was starting to die out. They weren’t getting any more customers, and the ones they had served were leaving one after the other. Eventually, they were in the shop almost all alone, with the exception of a few people that were there to use the free wifi. Mari hadn’t attempted to start any conversation, and Yoongi was afraid to try.
Just the thought alone that he was afraid of her seemed stupid to him, but it was true. It wasn’t really that he was afraid he would hurt her again, it was just because he was afraid of how she would react to him trying to apologize. He wanted to make things right again, but he wasn’t sure how to.
“So how’s the shop been?” Mari asked him, saving Yoongi from having to start a conversation first.
“Hardly different from the usual. You should know, you’ve been working here the past few mornings.” Yoongi chose his words carefully, and he was honestly afraid that she could tell that he was a little uncomfortable being in the situation they were in.
“Not by choice of course,” Mari shrugged, “but yeah, I’ve been here.”
After she said that, it was dead silent between the two of them. Neither seemed to want to even attempt another conversation. It almost seemed too weird to try talking now.
Though, it was still nagging Yoongi to find out why she hasn’t been in a good mood the past few days according to Seokjin. How would he even ask that? Things are already awkward enough…
Despite the way he was feeling about their attempt at conversation, he found himself saying, “You know, it’s weird seeing you behind the counter instead of in front of it… Then again, I haven’t seen you there in a while, either.”
He mentally punched himself for adding the last sentence.
“I was behind this counter plenty of times.” Mari stated simply, “I was just never working.”
Yoongi nodded and was surprised with the way she was acting… She seemed to cool and collected. It was almost… upsetting.
She had really gotten over him, huh?
“Well then it’s weird to see you working.” Yoongi stated, “Especially with that job you had doing God knows what.”
“I worked with computers and such in the morning and worked at the movies at night.” Mari stated, “But I don’t have either job now. I quit the movie job a few weeks ago because it was too much work for so little pay, and I got laid off of my other one last week. Now I’m currently moving into Seokjin Oppa’s place and trying to pick my life back up.” She gave a bitter smile, and Yoongi just watched her.
“I just realized that’s the first thing you’ve told me about your life outside of this shop,” Yoongi thought out loud, not necessarily meaning to.
“It’s amazing what you can learn about about a person while having a civil conversation.”
Yoongi felt that as a slap in the face, sighing and nodding on the outside, “I guess you’re right. What else do you need to get off your plate since we’re civil people that can have a civil conversation?”
Mari took that offer and ran with it, “Well, after all the job troubles, I get a call from some guy that I thought was into me, right?”
Yoongi nodded to tell her to continue, but he couldn’t help but feel a little jealous. So she had gotten over him… What did that other guy have that Yoongi didn’t?
Oh right, he wasn’t a jerk to her and he didn’t blow his chances like you did…
“I answer the phone, and he told me he wanted to hang out. Well, I accept and head over to where we said we’d meet, and we’re hanging out. We had fun, we got along, but right when I thought he was going to ask me out or kiss me or something, he tells me that I’m nice and that I would be a good match for his friend. Seriously? He sooo led me on, and he was so cute, too!”
Yoongi couldn’t help but sigh in relief, but also couldn’t help but wonder if Mari would be interested in that guy’s friend.
God, Yoongi, stop obsessing over these things. You missed your chance.
“Did you ask who the friend was?” Yoongi asked, slightly kicking himself for feeling nosey.
“I did, but he wouldn’t tell me. He said I might have met him before, but he wasn’t sure. It’s his room mate or something.”
“Huh,” Yoongi leaned his back against the wall that was behind him, looking at Mari with a confused look, “I wonder why he didn’t just tell you who his friend was?”
“I have no idea! All I know about this friend is that they’re roommates and that he needs someone to help him forget about his ex I think. Wow, doesn’t that sound like fun!” Mari moved her pointer finger around in a circle and then sighed, “But I agreed to come over and meet him sometime soon. I hope he’s not weird or anything.”
Yoongi swallowed and nodded, pushing back his jealousy.
You had your chance.
“Yeah, hopefully he’s not a total jerk or something.”
That got Mari to laugh which made it hard for Yoongi not to crack a smile. Even though it wasn’t funny at the time, he’s glad she can laugh about it now. Her life may not be totally together at the moment, but she seems really grown up, and that alone makes him proud of her. He never thought he would be proud of someone like her.
“Hey Yoongi…” Mari said through her laughs, “How have you been doing? Same jobs? Same place? Anything new?”
Yoongi looked down at the floor and then back at Mari, “Not really. I got a new place with one of my friends and it’s pretty cheap for how nice the place is. My jobs haven’t changed, but I have gotten raises for the night one. The rest is pretty much the same.”
Mari nodded, “Nothing exciting? Have you met any girls?”
Mari couldn’t even keep a straight face while she said that, “Sorry sorry,” she said through her laughs, “I just know how you can be around girls so I couldn’t help but say that! I shouldn’t have but it was too hard to resist!”
Yoongi forced a realistic smile and laugh, “That is pretty funny, though. We both know I’m not relationship material.”
Mari didn’t even hesitate nodding at his statement as Yoongi took his at off his head to fix his hair.
“Hey,” Mari smiled at him, “I missed you.”
Yoongi was caught off guard at her statement, but she didn’t give him time to answer before she continued on.
“It wasn’t easy to stay away from the shop. It was such a habit that I got into… But I’m glad that even after all of that, there’s no hard feelings. I just needed time to myself was all.”
“No, there aren’t any hard feelings. If anyone should have been afraid of it, it’s me.” Yoongi quickly responded with, getting a little nervous with the topic that they had shifted to.
“I won’t lie, I was upset for a while, but I’m not anymore. It would be unreasonable if I still was after all this time.” Mari smiled and sighed. Yoongi wasn’t able to say anything to her about that before some more customers headed in to order.
I know it’s kinda a weird place to end it, but the next section was too long to put it in ^^; I’m probably going to post the next chapter really soon, but it’ll be shorter than these others have been, but it’ll be faster, too! I’m having issues with finalizing the way I’m going with the story, but it shouldn’t take long for me to work it out (hopefully!) Thanks for reading!

She broke her stiff figure by pulling up her knees and resting her head on top of them in fetal position. Her face was burning and her heart was pounding in nervousness. What went through his mind last night? Was he thinking about it right now?
“Mari…” Yoongi said really quietly, and she didn’t give him any indication she was listening. He ignored her silence and continued, “Mianhae.”
Mari blinked in shock as she lifted her head in response. “Mwoh…?”
“I’m sorry,” he repeated, looking down at his lap. He rubbed his nose and then took in a sharp breath, “I just felt like I really needed to say that. I feel like I can never erase what I’ve done to you, and saying sorry is the best I can do.”
Mari just looked at him, dumbfounded. What…?
“It’s sad, I know,” Yoongi laughed, but it sounded more pained than anything, “But no matter what else I do, I’m afraid if I stay close to you, I’ll hurt you again.”
“Hold on,” Mari’s face was the picture of confusion, “Yoongi, are you talking about over six years ago? At the coffee shop?”
Yoongi slightly nodded, looking a little bit like a kid that was about to be scolded by his parents.
“Min Yoongi…” Mari sighed, letting a small smile appear, “Those are the least of my worries. I’ve been hurt far worse than that since then. It was a small problem that I blew out of proportion.”
Yoongi just continued watching her talk, feeling his nerves die down a little. While this was all heartwarming, he couldn’t help but feel a little frustrated with himself. Literally 24 hours ago he said he didn’t care where she was or what she did with her life unless it was out of his.
Yet here he is, a few hours later, staring at her in the face and having a conversation with her that’s making him fall in love with her all over again.
“Oh…” was all he could say. He was at a loss for words, getting lost in his thoughts on what to do next.
Mari was about to say something again when Jimin opened his door and headed into the living room. “Mari, Jin Hyung just called me and he wants to know how things are going.”
Yoongi’s eyes moved to Jimin and Jimin smiled sheepishly at him. Seriously? That’s why he came in here?
“It’s fine,” Mari shrugged, “I guess.”
“You guess?” Jimin asked, raising his eyebrows at Yoongi. Yoongi just glared at him as Jimin now gave a nervous smile. He started to back out with his cell phone up to his ear, “I was just checking!”
“Aish,” Yoongi mumbled, rubbing his forehead with his fingers. Mari let out a slight giggle at the two of them, despite their current awkward situation. Yoongi let out a little smile at her laugh, but he attempted to hide it from her. His attempt failed as Mari looked over at him and sighed, resting her chin on her knees.
What were they even doing? They’re both around 26 and dancing around the main subject that needed to be dealt with. With Jimin making the room less awkward, it was the perfect opportunity. Jimin’s door closed and Mari watched Yoongi’s eyes move to hers.
“Yoongi…” Mari said quietly, “I’m sorry I ended up here last night and totally embarrassed myself in front of you. I’m grateful that you were kind enough to let me into your home and not leave me to do whatever I would have done.”
“It’s really not a big deal,” Yoongi shrugged, “I’m not cold hearted enough to send a drunk girl off on her own… Though now that I said it outloud… why were you drunk?”
Mari looked away from him and gave a nervous laugh, “Well… As I’ve said, my ex husband almost forced me out of town. He didn’t make me move, but he made it unbearable to be there. I moved back here as you know and right after I arrived, I saw you with Taehyung and Jimin. It made me a little upset to see you after so long, so I went home and got drunk a few hours later. It sounds petty and stupid, but sadly that’s what happened.”
Yoongi sat and listened to her story, and after she finished it he had to take a few more seconds to process everything. “I didn’t know you got married,” was his brilliant statement to everything she had just told him. She gave him a face that was the definition of cringe as she cuddled more into the blanket that was with her. She thought for a minute before scooting over a little and patting next to her to make room for Yoongi.
It was then that he finally saw the old Mari again, looking so innocent and vulnerable. Of course she was neither of these things now, but he couldn’t help but see the Mari he had fallen in love with all those years ago.
He got up off the small couch and sat down next to Mari, leaning against one side of the couch. Mari leaned on the other one as they both started talking once again.
“This story is going to sound really awful, because it is, but I married him about two years ago. We had been dating for about six months when he asked me to marry him, and I was too afraid to say no. I had no one around me to tell me it was a bad idea, and I didn’t even tell Seokjin Oppa until he received the wedding invitation. We had a small wedding and didn’t even go on a honeymoon.”
Yoongi just continued listening as Mari would pause to think about her next sentence and then continue speaking.
“I really thought I loved him, but part of me knew I didn’t love him enough. He was so hard to love and he was hard to please as well. I don’t make a good housewife, and that’s all he wanted me to be. I told him I had a degree and I would have liked to use it, but he didn’t care at all. I ended up staying at home a lot of the time and hardly ever went out.”
“It’s honestly amazing how long I stayed with him,” she sighed, leaning her head against the side of the couch. She looked from Yoongi to her knees as he just stayed silent, ready to continue listening.
“It took me about a year and a half for him to finally let me have a job, but he told me I wouldn’t have it long since he wanted a child. The moment he started to say that, I realized that if I didn’t want to have to deal with him for the rest of my life, I better get out now. About a week after he told me he wanted a kid, I told him I wanted a divorce…”
Yoongi noticed her trail off, hesitating to explain the rest. He could only imagine what had happened after that, and he was about to tell her to stop where she was. Before he could get a word out, he saw tears fall from her eyes and drip on the blanket. She covered up the wet spots with her arms and was trying to pretend she didn’t start crying. Yoongi was not about to let her pretend she was okay, so he reached out and pulled her head up by her chin.
She began to shake and sniff when she looked him in the eyes. Yoongi was a little shocked by how she had seem so cool and collected telling him about all these horrible things, only to fall apart in the matter of seconds. Maybe it was just a girl thing he didn’t understand, but he was having issues figuring out what to do.
Thankfully, she answered that question for him. She shifted positions and moved closer to him, and he let her rest her head on his shoulder. He found himself awkwardly moving his arm around her and try to comfort her, finding this all new and weird. He had a few previous girlfriends, but none of them would snuggle up to him like this. They were almost touch-me-nots, and plus he didn’t date them for long enough to have more than a kiss and an occasional hug.
While he felt slightly awkward at first, her breathing started to relax him as he did what felt natural and pulled her closer. She sniffed a few more times before taking a deep breath, trying to calm herself down.
“Y-Yoongi…” she tried to say something but he shushed her and shook his head.
“I don’t have to hear anything else, Mari,” he said softly, “I don’t want you to have to say anything out loud that you’re not ready to say.”
Mari wiped the tears from her eyes, “I’ve already had to say it out loud. I had to tell Seokjin Oppa. If it wasn’t for him, I don’t know how I would have been able to survive divorcing him.” More tears came as she felt herself crying a little harder, “He’s really an amazing brother, and I’m his deadbeat sister who makes terrible decisions.”
“Yah,” Yoongi looked at her but she moved her face into his shoulder to try and hide, “You’re still his little sister, and just because you’re in this bad situation doesn’t make you a deadbeat. All it means is that you’ve realized that you need to turn your life around.”
Mari peaked one of her eyes out to glance at Yoongi, hiding it again when she saw him looking at her, “I just wish I could do something for him like he does for me.”
“You will one day,” Yoongi nodded, rubbing her back softly, hoping it would help her relax, “Besides we both know he doesn’t mind. He’s probably one of the nicest people in Korea.”
Mari smiled at that and nodded in his shoulder, “Yeah… he really is.”
It was comfortably silent in the room for a few minutes as the two just sat together listening to the other breathe. Mari looked up at Yoongi who had closed his eyes and she smiled, feeling more tears form in her eyes. She couldn’t believe that she was really sitting with Min Yoongi, the love of her life, and he didn’t even mind how close she was. She couldn’t help but feel her love for him growing stronger the longer she looked at him.
Yoongi slowly opened one of his eyes, locking onto Mari’s. Both his eyes opened to look at her as her heart started racing even faster. He felt his moving faster as a blush was creeping on her face.
Mari mentally scolded herself for blushing, but their close proximity, added in with her train of thought, provided a scenario she couldn't help but blush at.
Yoongi thought for a moment before he pressed his forehead to hers and closed his eyes. He felt a blush creep onto his own face as he took a deep breath, “You know that you have me and the other guys now. It doesn’t matter what happened with that jerk you married. He can’t do anything to you anymore.”
Mari sniffed slightly and swallowed a lump that was forming in her throat. She had only dreamed of him saying something sweet to her like this, so having it actually happen was overwhelming for her. His eyes opened to look at her and she looked to him, barely able to contain herself.
Before either of them registered anything, Mari’s lips crashed on his, and his lips immediately responded. The kiss felt desperate and heated, but at the same time it was passionate and careful. Yoongi’s arms pulled her closer and Mari leaned into him more as they broke for air and then kissed again. Mari’s arms moved from underneath the blanket to his neck, fingers moving through his hair. The kiss was getting even more heated the longer they kissed, and Mari’s mind felt a little panicked all of the sudden.
All too quickly she pulled away and felt a whole mix of emotions hit her at once. Yoongi’s face was really red and his mind and common sense was slowly coming back to him. Mari moved her arms back under the blanket and wrapped it tightly around her, feeling her body shake a little.
Yoongi’s confused yet aroused state suddenly dissipated as he felt her body quivering, not sure whether to touch her or to let her move away from him. Mari had buried her face into her knees once again, sitting as far away from him as she could get.
All he could do was sit there and wait, because the last thing he wanted to do was upset her further. Was it the kiss? She was the one that kissed him, so maybe she’s regretting it?
“Yoongi,” Mari’s voice was hushed and Yoongi’s eyes were on her. She lifted her head a little, but only so much that her voice was a little clearer, “I need to tell you.”
She hugged her knees closer and looked up, afraid to meet eye contact with him. She wanted to move closer, but at the same time, it was hard for her to. She wasn’t ready to do it again, even if it was with Yoongi… She wanted to- God she wanted to so bad, but she just wasn’t ready.
“Mari…” Yoongi started to whisper, but she cut him off.
“He forced me to have sex with him,” Mari started, taking deep breaths to get through her explanation, “Not only did he force me to have sex, it was unprotected sex.”
Yoongi felt his eyes widen at her words as he wished he could pull her closer. By the look on her face, he could tell she was not taking any of it well, “Mari… Oh God…”
“I-” Mari stopped to take another deep breath, “I’ve been on several different types of birth control since then, but I’m… I’m terrified.” She felt more tears, “I don’t want to kill a baby inside of me, but I also don’t want to have any more ties to that b******.”
Yoongi couldn’t help it anymore and reached out to pull her a little closer. She slowly moved closer to him and leaned against him again. He wrapped his arms around her and placed a kiss on her head, “Mianhae, MariChae… I swear I’ll f***ing kill that guy if I have to. I’ll be here to protect you, as well as Seokjin Hyung.”
Mari took another deep breath and totally relaxed in his arms. She felt really comfortable and safe in his arms, and he helped all of her fears melt away. “I’m sorry I broke down right then. I don’t want you to think I wasn’t enjoying the kiss…”
Yoongi’s chin rested on her head, “I didn’t think it was because of that… I honestly didn’t even think about what made you think of it.”
Mari’s face started to turn a deep shade of red as his next words came out, “What made you think of it?”
“I- uh…” she suddenly got really nervous, turning her head away from his, “My mind was just wandering.”
Yoongi got confused with her words up until he noticed her face was a deep shade of red. He could only imagine what was going through her mind, so he just let her by. “Ah, arraseo.”
There was another comfortable silence between the two, and Yoongi even started dozing off. It wasn’t till Jimin bursted into the room and scared both of them awake, “OH MY GOD FINALLY.”
Mari and Yoongi jumped to different sides of the couch as they gave Jimin an unimpressed look. Mari found herself suppressing giggles only seconds later when Jimin bowed in apology.
“Mianhae… I’m just happy you two are finally together. It’s about time.”
Yoongi’s face got red, “Jimin, we’re-”
“-thankful that you’re happy for us, but don’t scare us next time, please?” Mari gave him a nervous smile and Jimin just laughed and nodded.
Yoongi looked over to Mari and she looked to him with a smile on her face. He couldn’t help but sigh as a smiled appeared on his face.
It was only months later that Yoongi and Mari had gotten so comfortable together that they weren’t nervous around the other anymore. Their growing comfort lead the rest of the guys to start placing bets on when they would have sex, when they would move in, and when they would get married, and in what order those would happen.
As time kept going by and more and more bets were won or lost, Mari and Yoongi found themselves getting married. After making sure she wasn’t going to have her ex-husband’s baby, she told Yoongi that she was okay with having sex. Him being awkward and weird when it came to relationship things he had never done before, he suggested they marry first. He was afraid that Mari would say no, but she actually found the idea better than hers.
Needless to say, They moved in first, got married second, and had sex last. In the end, I think Seokjin won the order and Jimin won the time it would take until the events happened.
On a more serious note, the two of them went back to some of their old habits like Mari leaving a mess and Yoongi having to clean it up somehow, but it worked for the two of them.
“Yoongi,” Mari spoke as Yoongi looked up from the TV. She was laying in his lap and he leaned down and placed a short kiss on her lips. “Is it hard for you to believe that we actually ended up being together?”
Yoongi laughed and nodded, “Definitely. I thought I was over you 100% and was planning on avoiding you when I came back.” He paused for a few seconds as Mari started to sit up and look him in the eyes from his level, “And all I can say is thank God you decided to get drunk that night.”
Before Mari could say a word, Yoongi placed a little passionate kiss on her lips, causing her heart to flutter. “Yoongi, you are such a fluffball…”
His eyebrows raised, “What?”
“Fluffball,” Mari repeated, giggling, “Who knew you could be so sweet in a relationship even if you come off as not liking girls.”
Yoongi just took a deep breath and shrugged, “I think it’s just you infecting me. I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you.”
“Aigoo,” Mari smiled and poked his nose, “You’re starting to say really cheesy things, you know.”
“Once again, that’s you infecting me,” Yoongi shrugged and closed his eyes, leaning his head back on the couch. “Can I ask you something? It might be out of line, but I’m curious…”
Mari looked him in the eyes again as he opened his, “What is it?”
He swallowed some nerves and debated whether he should say it or not.Maybe it was too out of line… he didn’t want to upset her…
“Ah… I’m afraid to ask…”
“Yah, you’ve brought it up, now you have to say it,” Mari pouted, causing Yoongi to groan. One of his biggest weaknesses was her pouting, and she know it all too well.
“Aish, fine…” he mumbled, “...Am I… uh… better?”
Mari blinked several times and then raised her eyebrows, “Huh? Elaborate?”
Yoongi scratched the back of his head with a nervous look on his face, “Am I better than he was…?”
Mari just stared at him for a few seconds before she understood what he was trying to ask. She didn’t changed her expression one bit and just stared at him, causing him to look away and start to get up.
“N-Nevermind,” he spoke, moving away from her, “I shouldn’t have said anything.”
Mari couldn’t contain her reaction anymore as she began giggling at him, causing him to turn around and glare at her. He laughs didn’t stop as she got up and moved to Yoongi, wrapping her arms around him, “Omo, you are too cute…”
Yoongi’s face was so hot you could grill something on it as he slowly began to hug her back. She continued laughing for a few more seconds before pulling away to look at him. His red face made her giggle a little more, but she stopped when he looked away from her in a pout.
She moved his head to look at her as she brushed her nose against his, breathing on his lips. He caved in to temptation as he leaned in to kiss her. She returned the kiss and deepened it in a matter of seconds. The kiss was getting really heated really fast as Mari broke away for air. Yoongi looked at her with lustful eyes as she just smirked.
“You’re way better than him in every way…” she whispered, running her hand down his chest, “No one can beat you.”
Yoongi found a smirk forming on his face as he picked her up and pressed her against the wall, placing a heated kiss on her lips. She returned it with the smirk still on her face, thinking about how easy it was to please him sometimes.
“I hope you know what you’ve started,” he whispered in her ear as she giggled. She knew very well because she could feel it.
“I know,” she whispered back, “and I’m more than ready for it.”
Yoongi gave her another kiss, except this one was more sweet than anything. She ran her fingers through his hair and her other hand was placed on the side of his neck. When they pulled away, she sighed and smiled, “I love you, Min Yoongi.”
“I love you, too, Kim MariChae.”
