Fuck! I know what Dean is, it just came to me!

I've been trying to figure out for awhile now what kind of dog he is. A rottweiler, a german shepherd? I had thought he was a doberman. But like lightening, it just struck me-

He's a pitbull. The original nanny dog.

yeah deancas is cool but you know what else is cool? they gave dean a best friend. dean who never stayed in a school long enough to bond with other boys. he never had inside jokes or slept over at his friend’s house. always an outsider, loner. john even suggested staying away from others in their line of work because no one survives. so they gave him a best friend who’s immortal and who lives with him. someone to have movie nights with and to laugh harder than he has in a while with.

i hate that i can see a goofy cute little picture of jensen as a kid like modelling horrible jumpers or whatever and start getting genuinely sad because i'm like "th-that's what d-d-dean looked like when john was t-teaching him to f-fire a sh-sh-shotgun BOOHOOHOHOO" like girl stop it you are not well

spn scripts make me sick bc wdym dean was supposed to say "i love you" in the crypt scene??? wdym cas was supposed to go to his own personal heaven that was full of pictures of dean?? wdym dean spread cas' ashes in a field by a windmill bc he thought cas would have liked it?? wdym dean was supposed to tell cas "i wanted you to stay" in his purgatory prayer?? wdym that while dean was worrying about them dying cas was thinking about how beautiful dean was??? wdym sam was supposed to mention cas while dean was dying???? i am physically unwell.

bruh ive never seen spn but every so often i get castiel's "i'm the one who gripped you tight and raised you from perdition" stuck in my head and i had no idea why? anyway i just realized it's because it's in an iambic meter (I'M the ONE who GRIPPED you TIGHT and RAISED you FROM perDItion). my mfs wrote literal poetry . did they know???

I love early seasons supernatural aesthetics so much. The isolated highways, funky motel rooms, neon signs, shiny guns and shiny cars, leather jackets, old books, through a film camera lens in seasons one and two, makes for such a specific atmosphere. It transfers the isolation Sam and Dean experience so well, cramped into the seats of a 67’ Chevy impala, claustrophobically un-alone while individually lonely. The nasty, sometimes created with horrible special effects, monsters really do look monstrous, unsettling more than outright terrifying. With yellow eyes, in dirty clothes, glitching and pale. The whole colour palette is grey-ish and cold, you almost feel the contrasted darkness, the distrust, the nagging belief that something wicked may be hiding behind every corner, behind every corner of your own self as well. Idk. The blood looks dark, the sulfur looks sickeningly yellow, the skin looks unnaturally pale. It’s all so horror-coded, and gives such an atmosphere of instability in your own existence in the world, which aligns with the themes of the seasons. This atmosphere, to me, makes it a better horror show than if it had had better special effects and scarier monsters. Because the horrifying is in the daily existence, in how you are, rather than what you face.
