Jumin - Kissing in between saying "I love you"

Usually, Jumin was the one to tease you about being a whirlwind around the penthouse. You had a tendency to jump from one activity to another without pause. However, for the past few days, his usual composed movements had become more erratic. He would spring up from his seat to go double-check paperwork and plans, moving through your home like he couldn’t get anywhere fast enough. A last-minute business trip had come up unexpectedly, an opportunity that he couldn’t miss, and for the first time since marrying you, he couldn’t bring you with him.

To say that he was worried about leaving without you was an understatement. So far, you had been able to accompany him everywhere. While he had managed to work through his old fears of being separated from you, he still liked to avoid it when possible.

Since meeting him for the first time, and even more so since getting married to him, you have had been given an exclusive insight into his life. From the outside, he seems to approach every obstacle with a cool air of indifference, so that everyone around him can’t help but think he’s invincible. That couldn’t be further from the truth.

When he’s nervous, Jumin Han drinks. He paces back and forth, talking out loud to himself. He obsesses over his cat, and over you. He shops, starts up new projects, and spends long hours in the office. His mind is in a million places at once.

So, tonight, you sit on the sofa, sip your own glass of wine and watch Elizabeth chase him back and forth across the living room. You laugh a little as she takes a swipe at his bare ankles sticking out from his pyjama bottoms. By now you have learned that the best way to support him when he’s like this is to be in the moment with him (and swap out his wine for tea after the first few glasses).

He likes to know that he’s not alone, he likes to bounce ideas off you and have you reassure him when his worries become irrational. He will follow you without protest when you pull him to bed when it gets late, and he’ll listen to your voice soothing him as he falls asleep.

This time, his worries are doubled. He has talked to the chef, bought extra cat food, and had yet another talk with the security team. Besides being worried about you, you know that a part of him is worried about being alone on the trip. This opportunity is big, with a lot of stakes tied to it. He has practiced his pitch over and over, asking for your input on the angle he should take.

While he is a very capable businessman, Jumin is only just getting used to allowing himself to feel human, and it’s easy for him to get caught up in all his emotions without you there to support him.

The morning he’s set to leave, he wakes up before the sun rises. You follow him to the door, on bare feet, still in his sleep shirt.

He turns to you, eyes darting around the room, checking off last-minute things. “Do you remember where the extra cat food is? And remember that the chef is on speed dial if you need him.”

“Jumin. Look at me, darling.” You don’t want to send him off when he’s like this.

His eyes dart to your face, then back to the room behind you, then to Elizabeth in her cat bed in the living room. It’s no use, you need to snap him out of it somehow. You grab his tie and pull it so that his face is at your level and you can look him in the eye.

“Look at me. We are going to be okay, and so are you.” He opens his mouth to interrupt but you silence him with a look. “I know where everything is and who I can call if I need anything. Don’t forget, you can call me at any time if you want to talk. And oh, one more thing.”

You kiss him firmly. “I love you.”

He blinks. His eyes focus on your face, processing your words. You’re finally getting through to him, though his shoulders are still tense. 

You kiss him again, hard and sure. “I love you.”

He reaches out to you, both to steady himself and to hold you closer. When you kiss him a third time, he kisses you back, a soft chuckle escaping him.

“I love you, darling. I’ll see you soon,” you murmur against his lips.

At the same time, he says, “I love you too. Thank you, my love.”

Aaa it’s finally done!  Started out wanting to do Sun and Monty in Solar Lunacy-verse doing the Castlevania reference, which became a Toy Story reference and that’s why it got so long. ;v;   My staff OC Kay (she/they) got a bit wise to the beef between those two (or she thinks management should really repair that service elevator she found these two around).

me and jumin would have a cat obviously but here’s the thing we have elizabeth and the floor below the penthouse has been redone to be a foster home paradise for kittens! we didn’t want to stress elizabeth out with adding a new full time cat but we wanted to share our love with more cats hence foster kittens imagine jumin sitting on the floor with you giving you that innocent curious look he does that makes him look so cute while you show him how to bottle feed some of the smaller ones and there are kittens clambering all over him because they can tell he’s a good man (cats know ya know) and lord have mercy all you wanna do is smooch his whole entire face

what kind of pet would you and your fav character get and how many would they allow

hey um real talk see i have a body pillow (SFW cuz i’m ace AF) and some plushies and a little pillow but i’d really really like a blanket is there any possible way i could get a blanket with this these designs on them? obvi i’d pay because this is some dang good art and it’s chill if the answer is no but i wanted to ask cuz i haven’t been able to find any blankets of my fave boys
