Building OCs can be tough. Here are some questions to help you get started on developing your wayfarer! I’ll consider making another of these after a few more updates. Enjoy!
What’s their name and nickname? Did you go with the default name or a custom name? Why?
How does their background inform their current worldview?
What’s their appearance like?
Do they have any tattoos? Which one(s)? If they differ from the ones available in the character creator, what are they?
Who was their mentor? How do they feel about them at this point in their life?
How would you describe their personality?
What are their skill strengths and weaknesses? Have you used that to influence their personality?
What sort of mementos/souvenirs would they give to a friend as a parting gift?
What do they think of the massacre of most of the Wayfarer Order at the Spire?
How did they feel about leaving their home as a child to join the Order? Has that view changed now that they’re an adult?
What song (or songs, if you have no self-control like me) makes you think of your wayfarer?
Do they think romantic relationships fit into their lifestyle?
How do they feel about magic?
What would they be doing if they weren’t a wayfarer? (Or what do they do if they’re a companion OC?)
What types of clothing do they like to wear? Do they dress differently for specific occasions (formal, festive, traveling gear, casual, etc)? Do they care about fashion at all?
I think about them a totally normal amount. Definitely not every 10 minutes.
