You know what I noticed? Arabic is… Soothing, I just noticed it… I know, unexpected (Maybe it's because Arabic isn't often in the mainstream media, so I only noticed it now… It's just that from my perspective it's a soothing language and doesn't I know how else to describe it)

I love comments so much. I love interacting with readers through comments. Especially my current work, The Bartender and the Actor, which is a Cherik fic.
I want everyone to know that this is me every time someone drops a comment on something I've written:
I saw it last night, and the guy I asked to go with me kept saying Ben and Patty/Paddy wanted to fuck the whole movie. Like from the first time Ben and Patty appeared on screen together the guy I went with was like "he (Ben) wants to fuck him (Patty)". I can't disagree, James McAvoy does that to people.

Do you know anything i can donate to for palestine that's not the gofundmes because the idea of having to choose who needs my money more is just. scary to me they all need it 3: maybe there's a thing that splits/distributes money evenly???? idk but help would be appreciated
Gazafunds actually deals with this anxiety and makes a decision for you if you want. Their home page has a spotlighted fundraiser and the code consider things like how close the gfm is to finishing, when the most recent donation is, etc. So it's randomized to help as many people as possible.
There's also @helpgazachildren which if you donate, you can help multiple people at once since it's a whole mutual aid fund, or at least close to it. Hussam distributes money to people who need it when he's asked.

I desperately wish people would start actually reading the AO3's TOS before confidently making 'user guides' to the AO3 that are just blatantly, flatly wrong.
Yes the AO3 has banned content. They do not allow anything that's illegal under US law - though US law, importantly, does not ban fictional depictions of things - and they do not allow any commercial content. That includes your ko-fi link, or mentions that you do fic commissions. If you do post fic commissions to AO3 and want to mention the commissioner, the fic is a 'request' from the commissioner. This protects the AO3 and you from copyright law.
No the AO3 is not 'a creative fanfiction archive'. It is a fandom archive. Your meta, insights, and theories are absolutely welcome and encouraged there. AO3 also encourages you to post other types of fanworks, like fan videos, podfics, and art, but unfortunately isn't able to natively host those like it does text, so fic has kind of become what it's known for. That absolutely does not mean that other types of fanwork aren't allowed, or are discouraged by the site culture! Anybody who tells you otherwise is just plain wrong!

to the beautiful writers that might see this, ao3 is currently being scrapped by an AI company called RIVD. this isn’t your usual AI text scrapping, they are specifically targeting ao3 to feed their own AI / “tech-orientes” fanfiction site
their “takedown form” demands that you give them your full legal name and address. they do not say what they’re doing with your personal details. there’s no proof that this form works
until ao3 comes out with a proper statement or manages to lock their scrapped, just lock your fics for registered users

Don't you also have those headcanons that are useless to the plot but simply make the characters more real? To me, Erik is color blind (he thinks his costume is red/brown and it's actually magenta/purple) and that Charles wears baggy clothes (like always, every single piece of his clothing is one/two sizes too big).

Hello, I am from (Rafah) in the refugee camp. I have left my parents at home, my younger siblings have been relying on me for their education, due to the family being economically poor, I took the responsibility of going to do domestic work. in 2017 in the (Gaza) Strip. In the family I was working for, everything was destroyed after riots broke out, the house was bombed, and unexpected deaths occurred frequently. And that's when we ran to Rafah. I am facing the challenge of leaving there (Rafah) because my mother is sick, she has 3C colon cancer, and my father has type 2 diabetes. I am their biggest support, the cost of leaving (Rafah) is $5000 and those it's too much money, I can't afford it right now. Please, I am at your feet, I am asking for your help so I can get home. It's always so weird when people hate on ships and stuff. Like I get it if the ship is problematic (I.e. someone is a minor) but for the most part just let people have fun with things they enjoy, especially when it's harmless
