Met the most interesting man at a bus stop in Milwaukee yesterday. Dressed head to toe in red. Red beanie, red hoodie, red sweatpants, red shoes. Said his name was “Dr Reid” and was a marriage Counsellor. He took a long look at me, wearing a face mask, sunglasses and baseball cap, took a long look at my mom, and asked if we were a married couple. I take off my glasses and pull my mask down to smile and tell him I was, in fact, her daughter. 10/10 interaction. He left quickly when he saw our bus about to arrive.

You know, I was thinking today about state governors (as I often do) and while looking through a current list of all of them I realized, not a single one of them is black. Not. A. Single. One. Wtf???? We need more people of color in government.
