how Senator Armstrong is the chad version of every manga isekai hero.

Armstrong has super strength, SSS rank stats, charisma, and the dream.

Monsoon is Armstrong's eccentric mentor with a power that isn't immediately powerful, but a bitch to deal with.

Sundowner is the best friend engaged in shady, criminal dealings.

Jetstream is the rival.

Mistral is the love interest.

But what elevates Armstrong above the other manga heroes is that he is man enough to admit that he is using underhanded means to achieve his goals, and based enough to not give a shit.

Armstrong has no shame, and that is the best. Creating cyborg child soldiers? The Democrats exploit the suffering of others to achieve their goals too, Armstrong has the guts to take the more profitable option. I can respect that.

Honestly, if Armstrong wants to burn America to ashes and make America great again? I'd say go for it.

I mean, Armstrong could break Biden in two with his bare hands, I'm not going to stop that chad from doing something I wholeheartedly support anyway.

Lookit Them Go.

Lookit them go.

In any case, this thread revolves on the point that RWBY's plan DEFINITELY failed, while Ironwood's plan COULD have succeeded.

After all, RWBY basically did what Ironwood was going to do, but with loophole abuse and magic instead of Science. RWBY evacuated Mantle out of Salem's reach by taking them to Vacuo, a place which Salem is capable of reaching, while Salem can't reach space.

Vacuo would also be playing siege warfare with the indefatigable Grimm. But with the added burden of however many refugees, in a Kingdom which is a barren wasteland and is primarily nomadic.

Would the Mantle citizens not be a little agitated with Winter, I wonder, for putting them in a their situation? Mantle's freedom would likely be curbed due to practical considerations, and considering the nature of Vacuo in and of itself. Would Mantle not rebel, like you believe they would in Ironwood's case?

The considerations you state would make Ironwood's plan fail also applies to Vacuo. However, Ironwood has the advantage of technology and strong (if questionable) leadership. Vacuo, based on the lore, does not have Atlas's advantages. So on the balance, Ironwood's version of the evacuation plan would have had the better chance of succeeding.

But all the above is moot because Ironwood's plan was stopped before it could go ahead. Ironwood's failure is as theoretical as its success, and the topic allows itself headcanon and speculation by Ironwood fans as to its potential success.

RWBY's plan led to the loss of two relics, which Salem prioritizes over collateral damage. RWBY also adds a Winter Maiden to their trophy list like Cinder does, funnily enough. Essentially, RWBY tried to pull off their own version of Ironwood's plans twice and failed.

Therefore, Ironwood's plan could have succeeded, and RWBY's plan definitely failed. You state in your original post that Ironwood fans are disallowed from interpreting what Ironwood's plan could have been. However, since Ironwood was prevented from executing his plan, the viability of the plan is predicated on interpretation of the context and circumstances.

By disallowing interpretation, you also have to accept that RWBY's plan failed, and they lost teammates and relics to Salem because of that plan.

Therefore, Ironwood's plan COULD have succeeded, but RWBY's plan DEFINITELY failed.

To the Ironwood fans who said that he had a plan and Team RWBY didn't at the end of Volume 7-

What, exactly, WAS his plan? Not what you interpret as his plan, what was his plan as stated/shown in the show itself?

And on top of that, for the Ironwood fans who said that Team RWBY suffered no consequences-

What is your definition and example of consequences in stories.

The implications are horrific. I got chills just thinking about the implications of what you just said.

I wonder if Robyn Hill can use her truth semblance on herself.

How ironic is it that because of her Semblance, everyone she touches will always be more honest than she could ever be?

Additionally, when Robyn uses her semblance, would the truth be coloured by Robyn's biases?
