it’s been three years since the rumbling… three whole years, and you still couldn’t wrap your head around the fact that eighty percent of humanity was just gone.

if it wasn’t for jean, you didn’t think that you would have survived life after war. jean was the pillar of strength that kept you going, but he never told you that you are the reason for that strength. you are the only thing that motivated jean to keep going, even after the loss of so much life.

after the smoke cleared, and the peace talks were over, you and jean settled into a quaint little cottage on paradis. it was just what the two of you needed, your patch of land gave the two of you just enough seclusion so that you didn’t have to hear the industrial sounds of the island being rebuilt, while also being close enough to walk to town for all of your needs. your new home was your safe haven, it gave the two of you a chance to begin again.
