⚔️: Cal's Relationship with Sebek

So, nothing's confirmed yet, but I'm starting to suspect Cal has sensory issues related to sound(pretty ironic considering he's into metal-working, but again it's not been confirmed).

Even without that, Cal would get irritated by Sebek from jump. Not just because the croc boy is Loud™, but Cal also finds Sebek to be judgmental af about humans and the 'solar surfer' is NOT here for it; he gets enough prejudice from his classmates at Corlux without getting it from a 'self-righteous sentient megaphone'. Cal is staying as far away as he can from Malleus's attendant as he possibly can.

👑: Cal's Relationship with Vil

Take Cal's displeasure at Sebek being a judgmental type, now multiply it by five and add in a dash of 'I don't trust your character for a second'. Cal takes one look at Vil Schoenheit when he does one of his senior year check-ins and alarms start blaring death metal because this pretty boy is setting off all kinds of red flags of toxicity for this Corlux cadet.

Are all of these thoughts justified? No, of course not; Cal doesn't have the context of the canon year's events that show there is much more depth to the former Pomefiore Housewarden's soul than meets the eye. Cal will even concede that Vil's line of work puts a shit ton of mental pressure on the guy to be perceived as perfect and that is not okay by any sense. Does he also think it's shitty that Vil is the kind of guy who thinks freckles/sunspots need to be covered up because they don't 'meet the right standard of beauty?' Very much yes.

As for how both of the canons view Cal...

Well, Cal's standoffish protectiveness of himself due to him having absolutely no trust in others (long story) probably isn't winning him any favor in either of their books.
