Man, as a long-time Clone Wars fan sometimes I hate other Clone Wars fans. "Rebels and Bad Batch are too kiddy >:((( they're ruining star wars >:(((" Like dude DO YOU NOT REMEMBER THE EPISODE WHERE C-3PO AND R2-D2 GO RUN ERRANDS FOR PADME AND HAVE A SPA DAY. "wahh Rebels and Bad Batch are all filler >:(((" Have you even watched the Clone Wars? Or did you just watch the Maul episodes. "I'm not watching them because Ezra and Omega are annoying >:((" You were probably hating on Ahsoka in the exact same way back in '08.
All three shows are awesome. They don't need to be pitted against each other.
we all know that rex is the dipshit recruiting all the dumbasses for the 501st, but consider: anakin personally going to Kamino to watch training exercises to personally pick his clones for the Dumb-hundred and first battalion.
He watches a group go through training and is like "ew, they actually did what they were supposed? no cool tricks? they didn't even do the opposite of what you said!" and the kaminoans are like 0 _ o
Then out comes this group of clones comes out and pulls out all the stops. They throw eachother against traing droids. They punch droids with guns and use eachother as human shields. The kaminoans are shocked and are like "oh my god oh my god we cannot show this to HIM" but anakins already vibrating with energy like "yes yES YES THESE ONES WHATS YOUR LOWEST OFFER"
ahsoka’s line in the tales of the jedi trailer “i’m tired of fighting” actually broke me. she deserved so much better than being forced into a war that they shouldn’t have won.
I’m going to hell for this one
One of my favorite tropes/storytelling devices in media has to be inevitable tragedy, but told from another room. Think Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, or the siege of Mandalore arc (especially the Phantom Apprentice episode). You know the main story, but meanwhile you follow these other characters and see how the storylines interweave. You see all the missed opportunities and know they can't be taken because the other story, the main tragedy, has already happened and can't be stopped.
