But like it’s when Eddie & Steve are in high school at the same time

And Eddie has no one to go with, so he ends up going alone just for shits and giggles and to see what it’s like, and then he ends up meeting the infamous Steve “the hair” Harrington who got ditched by his date and he sits next to Eddie on the floor because he’s sad

And Eddie’s like, “What’s up with you?”

And Steve is like, “My date left me.”

And Eddie’s like, “Well I came alone if that makes you feel better.”

And Steve just looks at him, in a moment of desperation like, “Would you like to dance with me?”

And that’s how they end up slow dancing with each other to “Careless Whisper” by George Micheal

And they totally kiss at that one part that goes “Tonight the music seems so loud, I wish that we could lose this crowd..”

Nobody would notice ofc, but I’m just saying, Steve is definitely questioning his sexuality afterwards and looks at Eddie in a whole new light

Head canon: Eddie complains about the girls taking so long to get ready for events n stuff but he’s the exact fucking same.

If Robin & Nancy invite Eddie to go somewhere with them and Steve isn’t involved, Eddie will throw on a shirt and some jeans then he’s out the door.

If Steve’s going, Eddie has to look his BEST, he’ll do his hair, he’ll throw on a bit of eyeliner or mascara or both if Steve’s gonna get lucky that night, he’ll meticulously pick an outfit and make sure it has no stains or regrets on it.

And oh boy have the girls noticed, even Max and Erica know.

It’s not like if Steve is planning to arrive to a dnd meetup, Eddie will get prepped, no. Dnd is one of those things where Eddie will be prepared for the table to flip or dice to be thrown like a dart.

But any other casual meetup with Steve, Eddie will be dressed in his FINEST. And yet he will never dare wear a suit in his entire life.
