Hello! Could you write about Sunder and how a situation would play out where he is given the chance to be rehabilitated and out of everyone onboard it’s the shy human who really tries to be nice to him and tries to help him get better? (Gn for the human btw)

The Sunder fans came out of nowhere and I am NOT complaining. Glad to get some writing out after the hectic request day. Thanks for the request :)

Rung winces watching Sunder rub a single digit over your back. The motions of his fingers bunch and flatten out the fabric of your shirt with each massage-like movement, his face split into a grin filled with an unsettling amount of tooth. Your lax posture where you lay on the red and brown mech’s flat open palm and the–hopefully–former serial killer’s seemingly innocent focus on you are the only pieces of consolation the psychiatrist has whilst every alarm in his mind blares a warning of an imminent end to this peaceful moment that is beyond preferable.

The progress made through therapy and reacclimation to normal interaction has been astounding. Taking one of Cybertron’s most feared into someone safe to allow leeway around any relatively normal members of society is no small feat, and certainly not miniscule when in consideration of you–as contradictory as it sounds. You’ve been monumental in Sunder’s recovery. Rung wants to assume your immediate closeness may invoke some sort of protective instinct within the former Autobot, but he hardly seems the type when referencing the unsavory things done to his brother’s frame he didn’t mind taking part in.

Sunder’s optics and smile have turned towards Rung, and it has the effect of drawing his attention immediately from his thoughts. The smile falls a bit when it settles on him. This doesn’t surprise Rung. Throughout his stay on the Lost Light, at least the part when he’s been an invited guest, he’s been agreeable but motivated by nothing but avoiding prison again and the one organic member of the crew: you.

Many other crew members have shown an innate distaste for Sunder, bringing even the anti-organic crowd to swing to your side in hopes of removing the ex-convict from the ship. Regardless of their protests, you’ve expressed no concern over Sunder’s lingering attachment to you. Even Ultra Magnus has given up, only frowning when the topic of Sunder and you is brought up.

“Can we bring this meeting to a close? I have matters of utmost importance to attend to.” Sunder giggles, his gaze dropping to your soundly figure as he finishes speaking.

You immediately perk up, sitting up at a speed unbecoming of your previous state. Whatever Sunder is referencing, you are well acquainted with it.

“What would those 'matters' entail?” Rung tries.

His voice is kept level, if only to ease his patient to tell the truth. Hopefully a truth that does not involve anything harmful, he thinks, optics following your reactions behind spectacles.

You gasp and Rung feels his spark pulse until he hears your words, “We are gonna watch Mean Girls!”

Sunder’s grin returns to its full breadth. Rung falters.
