I Am So Very Drunk So I Shall Talk About What My Player Chatacters On Each Elder Scrolls Fear The Most,

I am so very drunk so I shall talk about what my Player Chatacters on each elder scrolls fear the most, coherency not promised:

Arena, Crowe: being betrayed; thus fucker is so loyal to a fault that betrayal is not even something that crosses his mind, he's a little stupid like that but I love him anyway. But yeah, he will never suspect someone he loves of betraying him or becoming evil so he takes a long time to yet used to the idea that perhaps uriel septim was not as good a man as he once thought

Daggerfall, Do'Karask: being seen as weak; being the onky Khajiit in a group of humans had a lot of downsides, loyalty to the empire aside, there was always a set of expectations for her, and she learnt to deal with them in her own ways, these usually leaving her by herself. A few things change after she becomes the agent of daggerfall but that fear of being weak haunts her

Morrowind, Nirarm: fear of being loved/fear of trusting people/fear of her own past; she's so full of trauma you could shake her and it would fall out her pockets, she failed q lot of people that loved her in the past and she doesn't know how 5o make up for it. If they are not loved they cannot fail others, but she can fail all they like, it's the thought of failing others thqt devastates them.

Oblivion, Delvoc: fear of the undead, fear of trusting people, fear of finding a home and losing in; I got scared by the first zombie you fight I Oblivion, so I passed that fear onto Delvoc, so they're scared shitless when fighting zombies. The trust thing comes from his past but is a normal fear for main characters, ig. Hes originally from Wayrest, so they were affected by the Warp in the West, including loosing friends and a few towns he thought he knew. They kinda prohect thay fear of losing home onto Martin because they're a dumbass who fell in love 2ith the one doomed by the narrative

Skyrim, Vi'yathi: fear of prophecy, and never being enough; they join in with everything the can, simply because they are tired of being left out and now knowing what us going on, they do their damn3sy to make sure thqt every time something big happens, they are there, they are watching. Too much of tamriel has past by without their knowing, and if they hear one person mention the dragonbirm prophecy they'll loose their shit. An oracle/wise woman once told them they'd bring great change and ruin to tamriel, and they've never really forgotten it.

I absolutely love how so many of us play Oblivion, interact with Martin a little bit, and then decide, "yup. My character would totally be in love with him".

okay here is my beginner’s guide to morrowind! it talks about some of the mechanics you’ll want to know, but it’s also a little bit of a walkthrough to get you a good start on your journey. note that i originally wrote this for somebody specific: i don’t think it does, but if it seems like it’s talking at somebody in particular, that’s why. anyways, i hope this is helpful!

before you start the game:

there is only one mod i absolutely recommend you play with, and it’s not quite a mod at all.

when you download morrowind from steam or gog or whatever, you have the game! congratulations! however, what you really own is the assets of the game and a horribly broken engine. that’s where openmorrowind (openmw) comes in.

openmw is a remake of the original engine of morrowind. you see, morrowind’s original engine fucking sucks. this is for a multitude of reasons, but for me, the reason i switched was because at the later stages of a playthrough, the game will literally start corrupting your saves. don’t have that problem with openmw!

i can’t really give you a guide on how to install it and get it running better than the one on the openmw website (https://openmw.org/en/). go install it and you will have a much smoother experience overall.
