This is Rafah, The "safe" zone, where 1.5 million Palestinian fled to. You have to understand, what bombing Rafah means.
Please don't look away, while everybody is busy watching the super bowl, Israel commits one of its most deadly and openly genocidal attacks on Rafah. Please don't look away.

Weird question, but what do you think of the sex scenes in the TVDU? I mean only The Vampire Diaries and The Originals 'cause I don't think Legacies has any.
What exactly do you mean, though?
If you refer to what I think as mainly - I think it fits how savage they are. They're vampires, they don't do soft most of the time and that is easy to see in their sex scenes. Stelena was the first important sex scene The Vampire Diaries had (because Damon absolutely raped Caroline so that doesn't count) and it amuses me how sweet and soft that scene is in comparison to how rough later scenes are.
Though my personal favorite is when Klaus and Camille make out in his bed the Christmas episode, it was just so sweet and the fact that Klaus trusted her enough to fall asleep beside her (literally the only girl he's actually slept beside) it's so adorable. I don't know if it counts as sex, but it's heavily implied more than once they fucked, but yeah Klaus is without a doubt an animal in bed (he started fucking Hayley in a table and they ended up in his bed, like hello, his quickie with Caroline lasted literally an entire day and Genevieve and Aurora were down bad). Elijah's sex scenes fit his character so well too because dear lord.
But I do wish they recognized certain people aren't having sex but raping persons instead, it upsets me so much how Katherine and Damon both compelled people to not be scared of them in bed and yet the fandom still believes they consented.
And Legacies actually has a few sex scenes, if I'm right. And I think Hope actually killed Landon when they did it for the first time, and I don't mean it in the ironic way...
Why does everyone hate Afton? What's his deal?
Because Afton’s entire existence is hilarious and, if you read between the lines, it seems like he’s probably a douchebag.
In Volterra, there is a holy trinity of people nobody likes: Laurent, Eleazar, and Afton.
Laurent and Eleazar, Aro actually managed to subtly get rid of (Laurent within ten minutes and Eleazar thanks to the divine intervention that was Carmen showing up), Afton he’s stuck with.
Okay, so what’s up with Afton. We don’t actually know much about him, but we do know is pretty damning.
We know that he has some kind of invisibility power but... It’s useless. Basically, anyone with enough focus can see through his invisibility. He’s only invisible if you’re not looking for him, if even that. He’s The Invisible Boy from Mystery Men.
If someone stands directly behind they, maybe, might, become invisible too. Unless someone is looking for them or not looking at their cell phone.
Even if his power wasn’t laughably terrible, it’s one of those powers that might be nice to have around but Aro doesn’t actually need. More, unlike Bella’s gift, it’s not one Aro will ever be likely to need either. What would the Volturi gain from walking around being invisible?
However, Afton gets to stick around because he marries Chelsea. The way it’s stated no one, not Aro, not Caius, not Renata, not anyone in the entire guard, is happy with this. Except Chelsea.
Now, it’s one thing to have a gift that’s not particularly useful, but we see others with gifts that aren’t strictly necessary either. Heidi, while nice to have, is essentially covered by what Chelsea does. Same with Corin.
I’d say the ones that make the Volturi what they are are in terms of gifts are Jane, Alec, Demetri, Chelsea, Aro, Marcus, and Renata. These are the Volturi heavy hitters. Everyone else, well, they’re nice to have around.
So, having a gift that’s useless shouldn’t be a deal breaker and certainly shouldn’t require Chelsea going “keep him or I walk”. This implies that Afton is unbearable.
He must be the world’s greatest, insufferable, obnoxious, ass in the world.
You want proof that Chelsea’s not omnipotent? No one likes her husband. No one.
Chelsea cannot make people like Afton, she can make them tolerate him at best, and only tolerate him in the sense that if Chelsea were to dump him Aro would immediately throw him out of the building and into the sea.
I can’t even imagine what a conversation with Afton must be like except I imagine that ten minutes in you wish you’d never been born.
And there’s no getting rid of him.
I see this question going around and I can’t help but wonder who would win in a fight - the twilight vampires or the tvd vampires. As much as I hate to admit it, I have to give it to the twilight vampires, but what do you think?
People really don't realize how ridiculously overpowered vampires of Twilight are.
It's not a secret most people see Twilight, and their vampires, as a joke: they sparkle, and that's definitely not scary. But they're basically indestructible, and tvdu vampires can be killed with a wood pencil, there's no chance a tvdu vampire is taking down any twilight vampire. Not even Hope, Klaus or any other Original for that matter.
Essentially;
Tvdu vampires:
Can be weakened by vervain
Can be weakened by wood
Can die in the sun
Can die in the sun if you take their daylight ring away
Can have their bones broken easily
Can be staked
Can have their heart removed
Susceptible to witchcraft
Especial poison can either dessicate or incapacite them
Twilight vampires:
Almost all weakness of tvdu vampires don't apply to twilight vampires
Obviously bad written, but still stronger
Tvdu vampires can bleed, be stabbed, die in human ways but still come back to life but they're down if there's wood in the equation, while Twilight vampires literally need to be ripped apart first, be incapacitated and then be set on fire so they're definitely dead. And even then, the pieces of their bodies can literally reconnect if they're close enough, if I'm correct, or they can also lick the wombs to stick it together again.
Twilight vampires are practically rocks, harder than diamonds, their skin is impossible to penetrate so stabbing is impossible, and getting their hearts ripped out won't kill them anyway. Canonically, the only thing that can harm a Twilight vampire is a vampire themself or werewolf teeth. They also cannot be compelled, due to how their brains work, and magic isn't really gonna harm them, being deprived of blood just turns their eyes black while tvdu vampires get considerably slower and practically dry out.
The Originals were getting their ass beaten by witches and vampires almost every season, and an eighteen years old actually managed to kill one of them, so unless Twilight vampires don't have a white oak stake I'm pretty sure they would end up in a standstill.
There's Jane too, who died burnt and her gift is making people feel her pain as she died, basically being burned alive, so perhaps she can kill a tvdu vampire with her mind alone due to this. Alec can practically take away people's senses so in my opinion, they're both cleaning the tvdu verse without moving a finger.
Perhaps Hope is the only one that stands a chance, but only taking into account her witch abilities, as her vampire and werewolf side are significantly weaker than the Twilight contraverse.
I'm really not trying to start a debate here. I loved Twilight as a child, and I adore tvdu a lot more, but once again, every single supernatural creature in Twilight is ridiculously overpowered.
It's ridiculous how this fandom shames Bonnie for not being "friendly" to Caroline after she turned.
Please shut up. Bonnie had every right to not want that girl around her, she literally killed an innocent guy and then later admitted she LIKED it, not to talk about how her personality was changing, exactly what Bonnie was scared of (even if it was Caroline's "character development") and even then she made her a daylight ring like the day after.
Embarrassing.
I'm sorry, but Rebekah is more likely to swing both ways than Elijah is. I just don't see Elijah going that way at all. Now, Freya I can agree doesn't swing both ways. But Rebekah? Yeah, no, she definitely does.
I'm not gonna get into a argument about the Mikaelson's sexualities, but Freya is canonically bisexual as she was with Mathias, the father of her unborn kid, didn't seem disgusted by Lucien's advances, kissed that woman in the Strix party and is literally married to Keelin.
And some people separe their sexual and romantic preferences, so Elijah could have been perfectly interested in both men and women physically but don't be emotionally attracted to men, which I don't see as true because they've all had curious tension with people of their same gender (Tristan, Damon, Lucien, Stefan, etc).
And anyway, the Mikaelson have been alive for a thousand of years, and while I don't believe time decides your sexuality, you cannot tell me they didn't at least "experiment" at least once.
