George Harrison x Reader - Good Day Sunshine

Word Count: Under 300

Warnings: Just Fluff, A Kiss

Mornings with George were always a treat. Most often you’d be the first to wake, as warm golden sunlight first filtered through the blinds of the bedroom. He would still be snoring beside you, shifting ever-so-slightly in his sleep. You wrapped your arms around him, molding your body around his - he loved being the little spoon, and you loved to hold him. When he finally did wake, he did it slowly. He made a few confused grumbles before his eyes fluttered half-open, turning over to meet yours and kiss you good morning. 

He would always place a sloppy kiss on your cheek, mumbling “G’mornin” into your skin, before rolling over and pulling you in to face him. You would stay there, knees touching, softly breathing, just appreciating each other’s presence for a few moments before he had to get up to head to the studio. He always wanted to linger - that’s just the way he was. He hated to leave you, he always hung onto you for as long as he could; trailing feather-soft touches up and down your arms, tracing your jawline.

“Doll…” He’d whisper, brown eyes turned amber in the glow of the sun. “I love ya.”

“I love you too, Geo. More than you’ll ever know.” You’d always say, and you always meant it.

Summary: A soulmate AU in which you don’t know who your soulmate is until after you both have fallen in love. While you’re searching everywhere for your soulmate you fail to see that he could very well be right in front of you.

A/N: Hello everyone !! I have not written an actual, multi-part piece of work since I was a sophomore in high school, and I’m so excited to be starting again! Writing is something that’s always been so important to me and to be doing it more seriously again makes me happier than I can say. This is an idea I’ve been messing around with for a couple weeks now, and here it is! A lot of this fic is inspired by The Beatles A Little Help From My Friends (shocking, I know), so maybe give that a listen before or during reading and look into the lyrics a little. This is also a little foreign for me as I am a bri girl through and through, but this idea screamed deacy to me so it just had to be him.

I sincerely hope you enjoy it as much as I have had writing it :))

It was a little cruel, really, how finding your soulmate worked.

The both of you had to fall in love, and only then would matching words would appear on your wrist indicating you both were meant to be. As sweet and touching as it may be when you do find the one, the countless times you suffered through a heartfelt “I love you” with your boyfriend only for nothing to appear on your body was rather upsetting. No matter how many times you had told yourself before that big moment of shared words of complete adoration not to expect anything, it still chipped pieces of your heart off each and every time. Having to break up with someone you genuinely cared for because it wasn’t written up that way by whatever cruel and omnipotent being created soul mates was incredibly infuriating.
