Pairing : Miguel O' Hara X Reader

Summary : You and Miguel are looking for a new place. And he might be feeling a little jealous/ insecure when your new colleague gets too close to you.

Miguel has had the same questions since people had broken into your apartment.

Who were they, and what did they want? They hadn't taken anything valuable from your place apart from your laptop, which you rarely use. ( You use your tablet more often.)

You still live with him, and so far, neither of you have brought up the suggestion of you getting your own room, or anything like that. Instead though, you have mentioned that the two of you really need more space. His studio apartment seemingly not as comfortable enough for two people. Initially, he wondered why, but he realizes you do have a point considering the two of you are pretty cooped up in the studio apartment.

It isn't really a secret that Miguel is pretty well covered in the finance area, and you got yourself covered nicely as well with your paycheck. And while you've been looking at places that are more suitable for your budget aswell, he's been looking at more expensive apartments, even coming across a penthouse he liked. It wasn't far from HQ (in fact, you could see it from the view there) and wasn't far off your work either. It had a good security system, and it had a beautiful view of the city skyline. (Something he doesn't entirely care about, but he knows you'll appreciate it.)

Currently, he's packing his laptop up, readying himself to go to your barista shift, which should be ending in about 10 minutes. After that you two would hang around your work place to check out places together for a bit.

It's been a while since Miguel wore something else than his suit, and he finds himself being a little picky with what to wear. He wants to look good for you. Eventually, he settles on jeans that fit his form nicely, and a dull red shirt. He foregoes a jacket, considering the weather outside is nice.

It doesn't take him long after that to leave the building, receiving a few surprised looks from certain spider people as he navigates out of the building and to the streets.

Soon enough he reaches your workplace, and you're nowhere in sight just yet. A coworker of yours walks up to him.

" Oh hey Miguel. Long time no see." Your coworker and friend Niah walks up to him with a smile.

Miguel greets her as well, and soon enough the two of them have an easy conversation. After a bit of waiting, you walk out from the backroom  but you're not alone. You walk with a guy your age, laughing at something he says. Miguel can't help but feel an ugly ping of jealousy at the interaction.

Niah must've caught onto it, because she grins before walking off, telling him to take a seat. She walks over to you next. As she speaks to you, you turn and wave to Miguel, making your way over to him, your features visibly lighting up.

Soon enough, you're seated beside him, greeting him in a small side hug. 

" Hey, what would you like to drink, I'll make it for you." You tell him with a grin.

" Just coffee s' fine." 

" Nah, we're not doing that. I'll make you something better." And soon enough you're hopping off, back to the counter.

The unknown employee behind the counter visibly lights up as you approach. Miguel doesn't like how close he stands beside you. Miguel can recognize that look in his eyes, he knows because he holds the same one. He especially doesn't like it when he tries to set a casual hand on your waist, something you move out of way from smoothly.

It doesn't take you long to return, a drink in each hand. He already knows it's going to be incredibly sweet. Thankfully he has a sweet tooth, much like you. 

" Okay, so-" You tell him, taking out your tablet and wacky little keyboard as he takes out his laptop.

" I've come across a few spots. Wait lemme pull up-" You start talking about several apartments, pulling up a few windows on your tablet.

While Miguel is paying attention, he's also aware that the nameless employee is keeping an eye at the both of you. Miguel is generally not really a fan of physical affection outside the comfort of your shared home, but he can't keep to himself as he sets his arm over the back of the booth behind you. It's a possessive move, and he's very much aware of that. He hopes the nameless employee gets the message.

Meanwhile you've started talking about multiple homes. They're all neat, and more spacious than the small studio apartment, but he still has his eyes on the penthouse apartment. It does have better security after all, and it's utterly gorgeous. The homes you're pointing out are smaller, more on the cozy side. You keep talking about how the rent is more do-able to split for you, though Miguel has no intention of having you pay for it.

He hums along as you talk about one of the apartments who you've chosen.

" Okay. They're definitely not bad. But I've been thinking about something else, kind off." He smiles slightly.

You nod at him, and he opens up his laptop, pulling up the penthouse he saw.

Your eyes widen. The Price isn't on the website, but you could tell that it was definitely expensive.

" Miguel baby, I hate to point this out, but this is definitely above my barista budget." You tell him, a worried crease in your brow.

He shakes his head. " The site doesn't say anything about the price. We might as well give it a try." He suggests.

You give him a look, catching up to his plans.

" Miguel, that is really sweet, but I'm not your sugar baby. I want to pay part of the rent too." You point out.

He hums, knowing you would've said this.

" How about this. I do most of the rent, you do a little bit and the gas and electricity bill?" He suggests.

You hum.

" Okay. Sounds fair." You agree with him.

From the corner of his eye, he sees your weird colleague approach.

" Uhm, hey, Y/N, I just wondered if I could maybe have yo-"

" You do realize I'm her boyfriend, right?" Miguel cuts the poor guy off casually.

" Oh. Uhm. Nevermind. " Your colleague scrambles off, obviously embarrassed. 

You turn to him surprised.

" Boyfriend?" You ask him once the guy's out of earshot.

Miguel turns pink, a lot less smooth with the realization that he's laid his feelings now open on the table. He clears his throat, looking away from you for a good second.

" Uhm, yeah- I mean, no?- I mean I definitely wouldn't mind-"

He's cut off as you softly press your lips to his suddenly, stealing the words right out of his mouth. His response is quick, kissing you back with the same want. You pull away all too sudden to his liking, but nonetheless he's incredibly happy you finally did.

" I've liked you too. For quite a bit." You smile.

I was wondering if you could make a headcanon of Miguel and the reader being best friends please

First off, I imagine Miguel and Y/N knowing each other from a young age

Either from elementary school, or through their parents.

For now I'll go with the elementary school option,

So the two of you definitely know each other since a long while, sticking around through both the good and the bad times.

I also see Y/N as a bit of a nosy friend, especially so since Miguel tends to keep most things to himself (or everything given the chance.)

Anyway, I'm going to skip most of their childhood  because it isn't as interesting as after he's bitten.

Miguel would definitely try to keep a distance from Y/N after he's found out about his powers, especially since he doesn't entirely know how to deal with the consequences of his new abilities.

And of course Y/N would eventually just break his shell, and demand answers.

Que Miguel just showing them and Y/N being completely speechless for a bit, before going 'What're you going to do now?'.

Eventually, you become his person in the chair before Lyla is even created.

(Speaking of Lyla, you might be the one to create her. Creating her as a practical best friend first and a 'business AI' second.)

I also imagine you'd definitely be there when it comes to creating the Spider Society. 

Like that building is huge and the interior is downright badass but who could make that happen without Miguel revealing his identity?

Because plot twist you're not just good with computers, you're also great at designing stuff (aka most of spider society, and the biggest part of the Gizmo)

You're there from the start, from before the spider society grew big, and before he made the grave mistake of living in a universe he didn't belong to.

You warned him, you really did, but he wouldn't listen to you.

You're also the person he falls back on for comfort when he destroys Gabriella and the universe she's from.

He tells you all about his guilt, and how it should absolutely never happen again.

After that he's more of a ghost of the person you're used to.

Yet you never leave him.

He's your best friend after all.

You help him heal.

You're the person who cares for him when he can't seem to care for himself.

And you're also the only person he turns to outside of being spiderman.

The only person who could get him out of his lab for a few hours to go to the movie theatre because something came out you really wanted to see.

He doesn't mind spending time with you outside of the spider society, feeling incredibly grateful that he has you by his side.

(Down below is you as his romantic interest in his life aswell.)

What he also wouldn't tell you is that in this universe, you're his partner. Gabriella's other parents. Which makes it all the harder.

Because he's liked you as more than a friend in this universe since forever, so it definitely hurts when he found out that you are everything he wishes to be with you in this other universe.

You'll never know the truth behind his cries when he cries into your arms when he comes back.

Because he feels like he's responsible for killing the other you as well, a variant of the person he loves so much.

He feels guilty for crying in your arms as well.

Especially because he knows that if you were to know the truth, you'd probably forgive him, and tell him that he at least learned from this.

He'd also definitely be overprotective of you afterwards.

Often trying to keep you close to him for no apparent reason.

Also because he loves your presence.

But also because he's scared something might happen to you when you're outside of the society, or while he's in another universe whilst you're here.

You're the only person he'll ever love, he thinks.

This is really just a really long rant about your dad meeting your dad from a different universe.

Miguel O’Hara Masterlist || pt.2

Okay so I'm randomly imagining a variant of Miguel who's also living the spiderman life but hasn't been through nearly as much loss as Miguel. 

Like this Miguel (let's call him Miguel 2) has lost his wife, but not his kid.

For some reason I also imagine this universe to be something like the Avatar universe (the one with the benders) just without the presence of the actual avatar which is why they would also have superheroes. I also imagine Y/N's mum being an earth bender, which was passed down onto Y/N. And they're quite good at it as well.

Miguel 2 was bitten, but still has a few common powers as Miguel. He has no claws, though he does have fangs. He also has natural webbing and can stick to walls.

I imagine Miguel and Miguel 2 meeting because of an anomaly breech in Miguel 2's universe. And Miguel's utter and complete surprise when he meets a spiderman with the same build as him. ( The man lost his wife, of course he goes gym as well.) 

I also imagine the immediate panic Miguel 2 feels when a building collapses on top of you, and a bunch of pedestrians. Like the battle with this misplaced villain would already be raging head on, and suddenly he sees you being buried under a HUGE pile of building and he just sees red. And Miguel isn't sure it's him until Miguel 2 attacks the villain viciously and rips his mask of, using his fangs to knock the villain out with a good amount of venom.

And the surprise Miguel feels in that moment is amazing. Because he never imagined there was another him, never realized in the amount of universes he comes across. His surprise deepens when Miguel 2 runs to the rubble, his movements chaotic and panicky as he pulls rock for rock apart. Miguel 2 is also originally a nonbender, though his parents had been fire benders.

Now imagine Miguel 2's relief when a hole opens up from the ground not too far from him, and you climb out, calling him dad as you help out pedestrians. And now Miguel is surprised, and a little heartbroken. In this universe he doesn't have Gabriella, but he has you.

Miguel 2 helps the pedestrians climb up before pulling you into a hug. You're a little dirty because of the setting, and you've got a few scratches, but otherwise you're unharmed.

Miguel lets the moment happen, only snapping out of it when Lyla reminds him that he should be on his way to HQ.

And he really is about to leave without invading your lives, when Miguel 2 calls out to him and thanks him. Curiously asking who he is and where he's from.

Miguel can't help himself as he explains the entire story. Inviting him on the team. He also glances at you, before inviting you as well.

Now the entire society is surprised when Miguel walks in with not just an anomaly and another spider person, but also you.

And imagine your surprise when he reveals his identity. Only to realize that he's the exact same person as your dad. Your dad is also surprised, but the two are quick to start 'old men talk' as you would dub it. Also, your dad receives a watch, whilst you receive a day pass.

And even though you look physically not anything like your father at all, Miguel still feels that odd connection he felt when he saw Gabriella for the first time. He leads the two of you through the building, paired with an explanation about everything and nothing.

Eventually, he also tells Miguel 2 about Gabriella, and in turn Miguel 2 asks what she'd look like, if she looked at least a little like you, and if he had fallen in love with the same woman. Miguel glances back at you, only to notice you're gone. Miguel 2 simply shakes his hand at your disappearance  adding that you do that often when you're bored. It surprises Miguel how loose Miguel 2 is when it comes to keeping tabs on you, but than again, he did see how you saved yourself and a bunch of people within a matter of time. Miguel eventually answers his earlier question with a shake of his head, telling him Gabriella was more of a physical copy of him, and that he had fallen in love with a different woman all together. Miguel 2 hums, accepting the answer before they start talking more about the multiverse.

Miguel also finds out that Miguel 2 doesn't work for Alcamex, but for a company which specializes in creating medicine. He also finds out a lot about you. You're nearly 16 years old, and have a few close friends. You're horrible at school, unable to sit still in classes. You're also a great bender, and according to Miguel 2, one of the best the world might ever see. Miguel was very confused when he explained that you had fully mastered every subbending technique earth bending offered. From sandbending to metalbending to lava bending, you could do it all.

And Miguel couldn't help but feel a little jealous. Miguel 2 has got to spend more than 15 years with you, while he lost Gabriella at a young age. On top of that you seem to be thriving, and Miguel 2 doesn't need to lie to you. Doesn't have to hide his spiderman identity for you. ( When Miguel asked how Miguel 2 merely smiled and explained that it was a little hard to hide when it was just the two of you, adding on top of that that you share their hard headed trait.)

I can also imagine Y/N managing to find the rest of the teens (Hobie, Miles, Gwen, Margo, Pavitr, really everyone!) in spider HQ, and getting along with them quite easily. They all have a lot of questions about why you're here as a nonspider, and even more when you tell them your dad is coincidentally also Miguel.

I also think Y/N would connect best with Hobie and Ben Reilly (the one from ultimate spiderman- not atsv). Because Hobie does whatever he wants and Ben is continuously grumpy, and distant, a trait that goes well with your laid back extrovert personality. 

I can also imagine Y/N managing to grab a hold of a webshooter somehow, and being taught how to swing through by the rest.

I definitely imagine Y/N casually swinging into the lab and trying to impress her dad and Miguel by trying to swing straight onto the platform. Which you of course would miss, jumping too late and instead plummeting towards the floor. A neon red web shoots out on time to give you a really soft landing though, basically bouncing you on your feet before you're on the ground. 

Miguel had expected Miguel 2 to react as well, but he simply shook his head. When Miguel gives him a judging look, he shrugs, adding a 'trust me, they gotta learn the hard way'. Because Miguel 2 knows how you won't stop unless you fall flat on your face or break something. And so you start swinging again, this time making a funny landing on the platform with an 'oof' as you plop on your butt before getting up and dusting yourself off.

And than Miguel's watching as you and your dad start arguing. " Did you know that most spider people don't have organic webs? They use these things! Hobie let me use his- that reminds me you should meet Hobie!-" You babble on for a bit. Miguel watches as Miguel 2 simply smiles, hanging onto your every word before he replies. " Yeah well, we should be grateful we don't have web shooters in our universe." " Why not? Can't we try to make some? It'd be fun!" " No." " Why not? Give me one good reason-" " You're an earth bender. You're powerless in the sky." " Oh right, forgot about that for a second."

Meanwhile the other teens are all stood below the platform on the ground. Their surprise evident as they see how an exact copy of Miguel is smiling, obviously content with everything around him. It also isn't until you're tugging at your father's arm to meet your new friends that Miguel starts lowering the platform.

Miguel is in turn surprised to see Ben Reilly among the others, considering the male usually prefers to remain by himself. He also can't help but be fond of the way you speak, all enthusiast about introducing your new friends (even introducing Hobie and Ben as your new besties.) 

Eventually the group falls into conversation, and your worlds normalcy about bending the elements is brought up. Which in turn bring up your bending, to which Hobie in turn challenges you, saying you wouldn't be able to win from him. 

Miguel is surprised when you turn to him, asking if there's a space in which you two can spar. Miguel is surprised, having expected that you would ask your dad, but eventually tells you there is. To Miguel's surprise, Miguel 2 puts a hold on it, adding that you're defenseless without wrecking the building. Everyone is confused when you tell him about your wristbands, and showcase your pockets full of rocks in them. Even Miguel himself is skeptical, considering Hobie is definitely has the advantage due to the field. Miguel 2 eventually nods when you showcase your pockets.

And so the group finds themselves downstairs, watching a sparring field from the side. Hobie smirks at you, teasingly adding that you're free to tap out any time and that he'll go easy on you. You in return laugh, before telling him the same, except you won't go easy. Your battle begins and you don't attack straight away. Instead you avoid all Hobie's advances, avoiding kick after punch after elbow. It takes a while before you oppose his attacks. Neither of you have used your powers at this point yet. It isn't until he tries to punch you again that you react, blocking his punch, you throw a punch back yourself, sending him a step back. Hobie's surprised, and eventually takes off. He starts throwing webs at you. Nearly everyone (except for your dad) is excited when your bracelets start deforming with your movements, shaping them and reshaping them from blades to balls, breaking webs or misdirecting them, or sometimes simply jumping out of the way. Eventually, you manage to throw a good hard ball into his stumic, which causes him to let go of his web. Seizing the moment, you take your metal ball again, giving him a final blow to send him to the ground. You're grinning as you stand over him when he's laid on the ground, your body still in a fighting stance whilst your ball has divided into smaller balls, floating around you.

He smiles as he tells you you've admittedly won, and you help him up with a hand. You smile and nod when he tells you that you should come around more often, adding that he wants a rematch. Your dad also gives you that proud smile of his that he rarely gives you.

You and the rest of the teens have started conversation again, and now it's all about your bending. Miguel and Miguel 2 listening instead of participating. Everyone is surprised when you tell them that metal bending isn't your best skill, and the excitement grows as you Tell them about lava bending. Happy to show them your actual skill, you take a few rocks out of your pocket, and let them melt into a ninja star made of lava. Everyone's eyes are big, completely impressed by this skill. Even Miguel is left speechless (which isn't noticeable, but still.) It isn't until Miguel 2 takes a look at his regular watch that he tells you it's time to go.

You pout, and ask if you'll be able to come back sometime. Everyone automatically turns to look at Miguel, and he sighs before telling you you might, adding a lame excuse about how you're good to train with.

And so you'll eventually depart after greeting almost everyone in a hug before you all but jump through.

You might not be a spider person, but spider society is definitely also a place for you.

" Y'know, I would've left you behind if you would have lost that fight with Hober." Your dad teases you over dinner later that day.

The two of you had decided on simple take out.

" His name's Hobie dad." You roll your eyes with a smile, before taking a bite.

" Besides, that's okay. I would have my hands on some web shooters by now. " You grin.

He sighs.

" You're never going to let that go, will you?" 

" No, I still think we should really give it a shot."

" No."

" Did you at least notice my pun? Shot?"

Your dad shakes his head.

" I should've really followed the instructions on those 'how to raise a kid' books."

can i request an earth 42 miles morales x reader story where she found him injured in a valley and he was still in the prowler suit but she didnt care (or she just didnt see clearly since it was night time) so she aproached him and miles was like go away even threatend her at some but but she then tells him to shut up so she can work in peace. She already studies in medicine and she vent to a grocery store when she found him and she quickly ran home to get the suplies she thought she needed. So basicly she doesnt care if he kills her she just wanted to help him and thats it so at the end milles is just quet and doesnt know how to respond to her like doesnt she know who he is sure its dark out side and they cant see each others faces clearly but the suit should by now give away his identite. So once she stiched him up she just sais her goodyes and just leaves him there and he is just so shocked that in this wretched place called New york there is still a person this kind or just pretty stupid to do that. So lets say milles didnt clearly see her face and vanted to see her again to see she didnt give anything about him away no other reason, he didnt want to see her so he could feel the same warmth she gave him when she cerfouly touched him he didnt want to hear her soft voice again that for some reason eased his pain when she praisd him that he was doing a good job staying still and not moving. Really no other reason so for weeks hes been searching for her but never found her until one day just randomly in a store he by chance heard her voice when she was talking to the cashier so he quickly ran out and suited up so he could follow her home to see if shes as nice as she makes her self look like and not to keep her safe or anything. So when she gets home she finds him sitting on her couch and shes pretty high up so ofc she freks out cuz THE Prowler was in her apartment (she lives alone her momma and papa are divorced so they send money to her for the apartment bills and other suplyes she needs)….

You sigh when you finally arrive home, kicking off your shoes in the process of it.  Studying medicine was anything but easy. Today you had a full day of classes, along with a bunch of homework. You had eventually gone to the library to finish it, before making a quick grocery stop as well.

The minute you turn around, you freeze. There's someone sitting on your couch. Upon closer inspection, you realize it's the prowler, someone you had recently come across. You had helped him when he was injured. You do not remember ever inviting him into your apartment, much less tell him to make himself comfortable.

" Hi." His distorted voice sounds from his mask.

You huff, not having the energy for this today.

" Yeah, uhm, I don't remember inviting you to my hous- WHY ARE YOU SITTING ON MY COUCH WITH YOUR DIRTY BOOTS ON MY CARPET?!" You scold him.

To your surprise, he listens, taking off his shoes as he gently puts them down beside the couch.

" Thanks. So what are you doing here? Are you injured?" You ask him, checking him out before walking off into the kitchen to get a glass of water.

He doesn't react for a good minute, his mask covering his face, shielding whatever expression he's housing. To your surprise, his mask unclasps, and fold into itself on the back of his head.

It surprises you. He's handsome but seemingly also tired. You're not entirely sure what he's trying to create between you.

" Wanted to see you again." He tells you straight up, making you even more confused.

" Why?" You ask him.

He shrugs, glancing around your place, seemingly looking for an answer.

" Was wondering what you was like outside of your work. You're nice. It's rare to find people like you." He says, stepping closer to you.

Your expression remains guarded, but you don't step away.

" You were injured, Prowler. I wasn't about to just leave you to die." You tell him.

He cocks his head with the shadow of a smirk on his lips.

" My names Miles." He tells you, setting the rest of your words aside.

You raise a brow in question.

" Better get used to me, Chiquita. We'll be seeing each other more often." He winks before stepping back.

Soon enough he's putting his shoes back on, and his mask gets back on his face.

He's gone barely a minute later.
