Drip. Drip. Drip...

Drip. Drip. Drip...

The sound of cold blood hitting the pavement in the dark alleyway was all she could hear, after the screaming had died down.

A grin covered her lips, looking down at the once smug man who didn't seem to know how to keep his hands to himself or how to accept a 'no' from a woman in the bar, his head drooping to one side and body slumped.

"Wow, you had so much sin, I might be good for the next two weeks!" She let out a dark chuckle, crouching down to the body and holding his cold chin tightly as her nose scrunched in disgust. "So tainted, and the way you begged to live! Just gave that perfect extra seasoning! So tasty!" She ran a sharp tongue over her lips, humming softly.

"Delilah.”

The voice made her stand, glancing over her shoulder to the roof top with a small pout already.

"You know the rules for your hunting, why are you alone?" In the dark of night, his yellow eyes looked like they were on fire and were visible even in the fog of autumn. And they looked very irritated with her.

"Alain..." She smirked at him, even with knowing she was in trouble. And even if it wouldn't help at all for her case, she still shot some finger guns his way. “What’s up hot stuff?”

He looked at her with rather clear annoyance and disappointment, his arms crossed while she kept what could only be described as a 'shit-eating' grin. The silence between them was thick, a rather ironic innocent look to her after the pun.

“I hate you.”

“I know you're lying but still stings a bit."

Alain let out a deep sigh, his hand going to his forehead as he tried to think of how to deal with his best friend. He had been searching for hours and yet she was just out and about looking for a late night snack, one that he would need to clean up after.

"Do you realize how worried we were? We've been searching everywhere, and you were just out killing some asshole!" His voice boomed in the narrow alley, a groan accompanying the words. He had always been rather protective of his friend, even if she didn't really need the protection; but that's what happens when you've been friends for almost centuries.

Delilah crossed her arms under her chest, the long pink strands of her hair falling over her shoulders slightly as the normal glow that most angels had surrounded her. "I don't see the issue, I'm arguably the scariest thing out here you know, he was down in 5 seconds-" Her eyes darted away from him, chewing on her lip, "-No one will miss him either way." She mumbled. she had seen the flashbacks of the man's life either way, all his bridges had been burned years ago.

Placing a hand on his hip, Alain calmed down a bit with her. He knew she could handle herself well, she took after both her parents in that sense. "Yeah well, I'm just glad I got here before there was more than one. Ready to head on down?"

"I guess.."

Alain opened his palm, a ball of fire filling it. With Delilah beside him he let the fire slide off his hand to the pavement below them, reds and yellows danced around their bodies as Delilah stood with a hip jutted out, letting out a small hum.

"Your fire is so cold this time." She would comment, teasing her prideful friend a bit.

"Shut up."

Engulfed with flames they were transported down, almost as if in a blazing elevator while the ground opened beneath them.

Delilah sat in a large chair, her legs crossed over each other as the slit in the black empress cut dress revealed the tattoos along her legs. Her fingers were linked under her chin, leaning her elbows on the arms of the throne while she looked at the lowly soul before her. There was a large round table surrounding him, the Gods of judgement from religions around the mortal realm giving him glares. Her eyes narrowed in a similar manner, clicking her tongue at him.

"Jacob... Welcome to Purgatory, where you will be judged by the council for your punishment and if you'll be going to paradise or sent to one of the circles." Her voice boomed out, echoing around them all in the seemingly endless void. "You might recognize me as the one who took your worthless soul, I am Delilah, the daughter of who you mortals call the Morning Star; Satan."

The man had tears streaming down over his pale cheeks, a spotlight shinning down on his quivering form. A few snickers sounded from the table, grins across shadowed faces.

"Please, I regret my actions and beg for forgiveness from God himself. I didn't mean to cause so much pain to those I hurt but Lust is a cruel disease that plagues men, you can't expect me to hold myself back." He pleaded desperately. "The Bible says that everyone is granted forgiveness if they regret their actions! I'm sure God himself wouldn't like you going against his word."

Delilah rested a hand on the arm rest, leaning into her other palm as she looked down upon him.

Worthless…

"So you genuinely regret your actions?"

He looked at her like he was appalled to be asked such a question, like he had forgotten the environment he was standing in, who was surrounding him.

"What? Of course I do!" He shouted at her.

A wicked smirk crossed her plump lips, more dark laughter coming from the table as the atmosphere got heavy.

"No you don't, people like you don't truly regret them. You base how you live over a book written by mortals thousands of years ago, thinking no matter how much wrong you do then it'll always be forgiven. That's not how it works. You do these horrible acts of violence thinking you won't suffer the after worldly consequences and be granted paradise, thinking if you give half-assed apologies you won't suffer. Don't lie saying you regret something when you repeatedly do it. You do these things, feel that regret knowing the consequences but as soon as you ask for forgiveness that fades away and you commit another act just to repeat the cycle again, thinking whatever god you believe in is buying your pathetic excuses. People like you are the boy who cried wolf, then acted surprised when the wolf came to eat you as you cried pathetically; But you were asking for it, weren't you?" Her grin was taunting, remembering the words he screamed to her in their confrontation, the words having filled his memories that she had tasted.

"And now here I am, the wolf, to make you face the consequences of suffering you have caused to innocent, undeserving victims. Forgiveness doesn't go to those who reek of the stench of entitlement to the lives and bodies of the innocent, to those who feign regret when so many have been hurt. I can see your filthy soul, I tasted it. And now it'll suffer the same pain it caused because you were never told no as a child, for thousands of years till you know true regret." She snapped her fingers, a fire igniting around his body as he stood in anger, a snarl escaping from his chapped lips.

The eyes of the judges lit up, glowing brightly and sinisterly.

“No wait- please no! I’m sorry!” It didn’t take long for the fire to engulf his body, his voice still begging as his skin charred, and the smell of burning flesh and smoke filled the air. Delilah watched, not an ounce of sympathy on her face for someone so vile.

“Say hi to my father for me.” She spoke bluntly before his body dropped into the dark void below him.

With a deep breath she stood up, bowing in respect to the gods around her. She stepped down from the pedestal, letting another take over now as she went to do her own things for the time being. Before she could even go to change there was a dull ringing in her ears, groaning as her path now changed to head towards the large gate.

Going between the realms could be described as walking up and down between the floors of an office building; but with each department there was different sized doors and gates to go through and be brought to the realm you wanted. The gate for Hell was made from black marble, with matching pedestals beside it and fire wrapping around them.

Inside was much different.

Delilah held up the skirt of her dress to be able to walk faster, soon reaching her destination. And as she pushed open the large doors she was in her Father’s office. Her eyes landed on him leaning against his large mahogany desk, a blood red suit attempting to make him seem more menacing. She always tried to tell him that the suit coupled with his large horns didn’t help the little red man stereotype mortals gave him.

“Come in Delilah.” He smiled at her, a bit sly in the way it looked but that’s just how he was most of the time. Although not to her.

She stepped towards him, her teeth chewing on her inner cheek till she tasted the slight iron on her tongue. He towered over her, which made her wonder how she ended up as short as she was. “Yes father?” She was respectful, hoping to get away with her actions if she played sweet.

His eyes were stern for a few seconds, arms across his chest before he was quick to squish her cheeks. “Look at you my little girl, breaking rules to go protect the living, so cute! I saw everything, good form but next time play him up for more begging.” He cooed, even with her protesting to the babying he did, as he pulled her into him for a rather bone crushing hug. “Now princess, you do need to start bringing Alain more often or you won’t be allowed to hunt anymore.”

“Why though? I’ve finished all the training, I’ve gone out multiple times alone now too.” She pushed away from him, fixing her messed up hair and frowning. Her father had always been fairly overbearing since she started living with him nearly 400 years ago, it was something she figured might be normal but still wasn't something you'd expect after how he treated so many people who had committed sins and yet he treated her like she was an innocent child.

"Sweetheart, its because everyone knows that if you're out alone that cute little demon inside of you will kill more than just a few assholes." Her own arms crossed under her chest, biting her lip in frustration.

"Honestly Dad I really don't see the big problem with that." He sighed, finally becoming quite serious with her as he moved his hands onto her shoulders with an affectionate squeeze. "Delilah, you know what happened last time you did that." She nodded slowly, giving up on reasoning. "Now onto the more pressing issue at hand, there's been more bodies turning up of hybrids."

Her eyes narrowed from the news, standing straight up almost as if a soldier for him. Which in some way she was. "Where were they found?"

"Deep in the forest of Mount Kinabalu, Malaysia." Delilah felt her heart ache for the loss of those like her, wondering if they had been in hiding like she once had been. "From what we can tell they were killed for the gain of their unique power sets, their souls were gone and they had wounds I hadn't seen in centuries. I want you to go with the Sins and Virtues to investigate, see if you can find who is killing those poor kids." She nodded as she knew there would be families grieving, time was of the essence to make sure no one else got hurt.

"I'll get ready to head out and meet them at the mortal gate." She was ready to turn but her father stopped her, placing a loving fatherly kiss on her forehead. "Dad, I promise I'll be careful."

He let go of her, a look of worry crossing his features. "I know you will be, but it doesn't stop a father from worrying."

She smiled at him, deep down she appreciated how much he cared for her, it was all she could ask for from him. "I will, I'll get going now."

Delilah gave a wave to him before leaving the office, heading to her own door in the long bleak hallway.

When Was The Last Time You Slept? You Need To Be More Diligent.

When was the last time you slept? You need to be more diligent.

Adamo is one of the eldest of the seven children, and even though he’s a very hardworking person when he tries to be, he suffers rather severe insomnia. It has plagued him since childhood, very rarely does he ever get a full nights sleep which leaves him fairly out of it most days.

With the lack of sleep he can’t find energy to cut his nails, or hair but he prefers it long anyway; even when he lacks the energy to do much he will always show up when you need a friend or help. (Usually you’ll need to make a summoning circle for him though.)

If he needs to be up and out during the day he’ll usually have about 5-10 shots of espresso, definitely his favorite creation from the mortals, and usually eating an energy bar every hour. Youta will always bring him homemade dishes, knowing already that Adamo hasn’t bought groceries in possibly ages, sometimes he’ll even help with his hair and trimming his beard. (BroTP)

Even if he barely had the energy to take of himself, he’s very diligent about his body hygiene. He showers often and always has a very nice cologne on that Na-Ra gave him as a birthday present.
