How Ponify ruined my life

Possibly the most horrifying thing that has ever happened to me occurred today. So I’m in a creative writing class at university right now and we had to print out twenty-five copies of our first, one page assignment to distribute to the class. I had to print mine at the computer lab as I don’t have a printer, but here are the three crucial facts that made this the worst mistake of my life.

1. Sometimes, when you log into Google on Chrome, it activates all of your extensions, even ones you’ve deactivated.

2. In high school, my friends and I got really into Ponify (a words replacing chrome extension) and switched the preferences so we could read political articles and have congress get into a “rousing snow ball fight” and the like.

3. Ponify reverted to its original My Little Pony lingo when opened on a new computer’s chrome.

So when I distributed my twenty-five copies of this I noticed the word “everypony”, my heart seized up and dropped into my stomach, and with my imminent death approaching, I began furiously correcting all twenty-five of them. My teacher, confusedly, agreed to let me correct them as I was too infuriated and ashamed to say my mistake aloud. 

I just realized, however, that the line “as she watched the binding fall away in her hand” was changed to “as she watched the binding fall away in her hoof”. 

And I just had to send this email:

And basically I’m ready for death how was your day

So who is ready to crash a streaming site through sheer numbers this october 18 watching The Edge of Sleep? WE ARE.

Surviving Halloween with Psychosis

- The picture test: If you can’t tell if something is a hallucination or not, take a photo! If it shows up in the picture then you have a keepsake of that crazy creepy Halloween decoration. If not it’s a hallucination (or a vampire. No, i’m kidding it’s a hallucination.)

- Is some kid in mask causing paranoia? Ask them where they got their costume. Did they make it? How did they get the idea? Focusing on the person inside of the costume will help you remember that it’s just a person!

- Avoid haunted houses, haunted hayrides, ect. Actors will not stop scaring unless it’s an emergency, and I’ve yet to find a place that teaches actors how to deal with anything other than physical injuries. (I once met a haunted house actor who said causing a panic attack meant he was “doing his job right.”)

- There’s no shame in asking friends and relatives to avoid sending jump scare videos or anything else that could cause paranoia.

- Here are some tips on how to tell if a video is a screamer.

- (from freeasthepaperburns) Boggart it! If something is making you upset, make it silly. dance with the shadows, sing to the creepies, I bet if make a fish face at the scary face it’ll be a little less scary. I know this is harder than it sounds, but I’ve gotten better at it over the time, and find it helps!

Asking for directions

i love language diversity and misunderstandings in the utmv you don’t get it. i love headcanons for it. epic would be multilingual just because. dust would yell at killer in korean and killer would yell back in arabic and horror would sit there speaking english trying to calm them down. accents. learning a language. slowly recognizing what words in the other’s language means. dust speaking to farm fluently and horror just sits and watches them talk and he doesn’t know what they’re saying but he loves them both enough to be enamored by it anyway (dustyrottencrops,,, grhrhfh,,).

cross not knowing nightmare speaks spanish so when he mutters anything under his breath believing nobody else will understand nightmare does and doesn’t let cross know for like months. epic learning japanese exclusively to watch anime without dubs/subs. cross learning filipino to talk to him (and even though his memories of that time are erased the language still comes so easily to him and he doesn’t know why for ages).

ink speaking every language although french is his first and japanese is his second. and it’s scary because my god you don’t need to know all that. I can’t keep secrets from you or nothin. error only speaking english and hating ink for being able to watch HIS show that easily.

killer and color being able to bond so easily because of their shared language. his teammates didn’t speak the same as him, and while nightmare technically could, oftentimes killer would be kept in the dark by that barrier.

on top of this i also really love culture diversity. food, holidays, traditions, outfits,, grhrhfhhghh,,,, sharing cultures my beloved,,,, accents,,, dies,,,
