You and Draco were sitting together on a bench in the Hogwarts garden,busy revising for the forthcoming test of Arts against the black magic.

<<Can you tell me about the Boggart?>> you asked <<Boggart? Is it in the test?>> <<I think so? We have revised it a few day ago>> <<Shit I totally forgot!>> Draco mumbled,opening the book and frenetically browsing the pages,you smiled <<It’s fine,I’m sure you remember what a Boggart is>> <<It’s a non being creature which takes the form of your biggest fear>> he answered <<That’s it,that’s my boy!>> you hit his shoulder with a little punch,making the boy laugh.

Your smile got bigger as you saw his reaction,it had been months since you last saw Draco smiling. You were so happy <<It’s getting better isn’t it?>> you asked,Draco looked at his forearm and sighed <<I have to deal with it. I’m scared>> he sighed,you took his arm and rolled up the sleeve of his shirt,kissing the bending <<I told you that you’re not evil,Draco,we’ll get through this>>.

He was about to speak when you saw his eyes jump behind you and then he fastly rolled the sleeve down,making you realise something was wrong. You turned back and saw Lucius coming towards you.

<<Why are you here?>> Draco asked to his father in a cold voice,nervously bouncing his leg up and down,you noticed it and held his hand to remind him you were by his side. The man looked at you,bother in his eyes,<<Why are you always around Y/n?>> he asked <<I’m his girlfriend>> you immediately growled <<Yeah...whatever...>> Lucius mumbled:he had never liked you.

<<Let’s go Draco,we need to talk>> Draco left your hand and stood up <<I’ll see you in your dorm,okay?>> you asked <<Sure>> Draco replied and followed his father.

You were now sitting on the bed of his prefect room,nervously playing with your hands. You were scared of what was about to come;everytime Draco had talked with his father he had always ended up breaking down and crying for hours,with harsh panic attacks.

You hated so much that man,today Draco didn’t feel so bad,he laughed and he was in the mood for studying,but Lucius had came and ruined everything once again.

The door suddenly opened. <<Draco!>> you exclaimed running towards the boy <<What is it?>> you asked,the Slytherin closed the door and rested his forehead on the harm he lent on the door <<They...they want me to...>> he was crying again and he was barely able to speak <<What they want?>> you asked,hugging him from behind and resting your chin on his shoulder <<They want me to kill Dumbledore>>.

You got petrified,but Draco turnded and wrapped his arms around your neck,sinking once again his face in the cloth of your shirt.

You caressed his back and sighed. Things were getting out of control and you had enough.

<<Fine-you growled-I need to talk with your father>> <<What the fuck are you talking about?! Do you want to get killed?>> Draco’s way of acting immediately changed:he wiped his tears away and looked at you,standing straight. It didn’t matter how he felt or what was going on in his life,everything related to you was something he had to take care of so he would be sure you wouldn’t get hurt <<They can’t kill us until Dumbledore’s here>> you replied,opening the door and running away.

Draco immediately followed you <<Don’t you fucking dare to get involved in this!>> he shouted <<I already am! I’m tired Draco they’re crossing the line,you’ve suffered too much!>> you yelled back.

In a few minutes you were walking down the corridors of the school,looking for Lucius.

<<You!>> you shouted pointing a finger to the man,he turned,looking at you with furrowed eyebrows and a evil smirk on his lips. Draco suddenly grabbed your wrist <<Don’t you fucking dare!>> <<Oh I dare,man,I fucking dare!>> your eyes were full of anger while you held your wand,pointing it at the man <<I’m tired of you fucking toadies. If you want to be Voldemort’s personal servants it’s okay,I’ll kill each one of you as soon as the war comes but don’t you fucking involve Draco. He’s not like you!>> you yelled at him <<Look at this Hufflepuff,I’m surprised of your courage,Mrs>> the man came towards you,his wand already in his hand. The silver snake on the top of it was staring into your soul:it seemed he was ready do bite and fill your body with its poison.

Draco immediately came between him and you <<Don’t you dare to hurt her>> he said,looking into his father’s eyes <<Draco,move>> he replied <<I’m not>> Draco kept staring at the man who step back <<Let’s go. You’re no longer a student of this school>> the man suddenly said,you looked at Draco <<Please don’t go...>> you muttered.

<<I said:let’s go,Draco>> Lucius kept talking in a firm and cold voice,but the boy didn’t move,he just looked down and swallowed his spit,then he held your hand <<I’m not leaving>> he said in a cold voice.Your heart ached:Draco seemed so confident but you knew he was facing his biggest fear and risking his life at the same time <<I’m sorry father. I’m not evil>> he said.

Lucius looked at him <<Stop pretending to be the hero of the situation,Draco,you got an assignment>> <<I’m not doing it,I’m not going to kill a person. I refuse to take someone’s life,father,I wouldn’t be able anyway,and you know it>>. Lucius glared at his son,a disgusted expression slowy appeared on his face <<You’re the disgrace of the family>> the man said,walking away.

You saw those words hitting Draco deep in his heart,for years he had been trying to receive appreciation from his father,he had been trying to make him happy but he had always failed and now all his chances were gone,forever.

<<You’re not a disgrace Draco-you said hugging him-you’re the best person this world could have,you’re the strongest boy I’ve ever met. Draco you have taken your choice,as you wanted>> <<I know-Draco’s arms wrapped around your shoulders,a gentle kiss was left on your head-but what’s happening know?>> he asked <<We’ll know soon,but don’t worry. We’re in this together,we’re in this with Hogwarts>>.

Author’s note:What can I say? I destroyed a character but I gave him the end he deserves.

<<I hate potion class>> you sighed walking down the Hogwartas stairs which usually moved. Thanks to these stairs once you had lost yourself in the forbidden area of the library and had gotten punished by the prefect of Ravenclaw house.

<<Come on you can’t tell me you hate Slughorn’s classes. They’re so fun>> Cho looked at you <<Not for me girl,I remind you that I completely suck at them,even tho I’m in Ravenclaw>> <<No one’s perfect. Come on look at Ron-Cho pointed at the boy who was crossing the corridor with Harry-he’s a Gryffindor but he spends all day eating and he’s not even that brave>> she laughed <<And you’re as rude as the worst Slytherin>> you replied,hitting her shoulder <<It hurts!>> she rolled her eyes <<Shut up,you deserve it>>.

You and your friend entered the class and sat,but as soon as Cho had seen Harry sitting in the back seats she woke up and left you <<Don’t hate me,please>> she said <<Just go>> you said smirking. She giggled and went away.

You were now sitting alone when,suddenly,Ron came and asked for a seat;<<Sure>> you replied with a big smile,he smiled back and immediately sat. <<We don’t talk so often>> the ginger boy said with a low voice <<I know,we never have the chance>> <<Now we do>>. You blushed <<We almost do. If we talk during class Slughorn will surely punish us and,to be honest, I don’t want to get another detention>> you giggled <<I didn’t know Ravenclaw could get detentions>> Ron said jokingly <<We’re full of surprises>> <<Why have you received one?>> <<I got lost in the forbidden part of the library,I didn’t do it on purpose,of course,the stairs moved>> you told him <<I know you wouldn’t do it on purpose,you seem to be a good person>> he said opening his potion book <<Thank you...>> you whispered.

<<Today we’re going to make the Amortentia-said Slughorn entering the class and beginning to show the students all the ingredients and the processes-the student who’ll make the best potion will win a very special prize:a vial of Veritaserum>>. <<Guess who won’t win> you whispered <<Me>> said Ron <<And me too>> you continued <<But you’re not bad>> said Ron <<I am>> <<I don’t think so. But since you think you are,let me make you change idea,here’s a bet:the one who makes the worst Amortentia will pay the other a Butterbeer in Diagon Alley>> <<Great. I’m gonna pay>> you said <<Don’t talk too soon>> Ron laughed.

During the class you and Ron didn’t care about winning the Veritaserum,you just cared about having fun and joke together. You also found out that Ron was right when it came to who was the worst at potions between you two:his Amortentia exploded on his face meanwhile yours worked. It wasn’t the best of the class,but you were quite proud of yourself. What really made you worry was the smell of your potion:freshly mown grass and spearmint,which was a toothpaste flavor. Who could have such a strange scent? <<See you at the Three Broomsticks this evening Y/n. I have to offer you a Butterbeer>> Ron smiled with a soot-dirty nose;you laughed <<I’ll be there>>.

That evening

<<Would you like to tell me what you smelled with the Amortentia?>> asked Ron putting two Butterbeers on the table <<It was a strange smell. You didn’t smell anything right?>> <<Y/n my potion exploded>> Ron scratched his forehead in sign of embarrassment <<Yeah you’re right-you suddenly remembered you still had with you your Amortentia-try it now>> you said taking out the vial from the pocket of your hoodie <<Why are you keeping with you the Amortentia?>> asked the Weasley <<I don’t know. I’m proud of it,just smell that damn potion Ron. I’m curious!>> you giggled. Ron opened the object and smelled the potion <<It’s good>> he smiled <<Come on,what have you smelled?>> you asked with your hands on the table <<Roses,cinnamon and fresh fruit>>.

Suddenly you were Paralyzed. You were sure it was your scent:you had some roses in your bedroom and you loved both cinnamon rolls and fresh fruit. <<Is anything wrong?>> asked Ron worried,seeing your strange reaction <<No,don’t worry>> you replied,pretending everything was fine <<What about you?>> he demanded <<I smelled freshly mown grass and spearmint. It’s strange>> Ron blushed <<So you think my scent is strange>> <<What?>> you asked in confusion <<It’s me,it’s my scent:the mown grass is due to gnome hunting and spearmint is the toothpast I use more often. It’s my favorite one>> he said calmly,almost pleased to know the news,but you were dying of embarrassment:you smelled each other’s perfume. <<Sorry I have to go-you said standing up from the chair-thanks for the Butterbeer,I had fun>>. You run away and left Ron there,all alone.

One week later

<<Why have you been avoiding me Y/n?>> asked Ron once he had met you in the Hogwarts corridors <<I haven’t been avoiding you>> you lied,trying to escape the boy <<Don’t you dare to lie! We need to talk. Had I said anything wrong at the Three Broomsticks?>> <<No you hadn’t Ron,I’ve been just...busy...>> you looked down <<I know you haven’t-the boy took your hand and got closer-please tell me what’s wrong>> <<It’s a long story>> <<I have time,please. When you and Ron had arrived at the library you sat one in front of another <<Listen Ron:you know I smelled your scent,but what you’re not aware of,is that you smelled mine>> Ron’s eyes were wide open,you could clearly see he was surprised <<So it means we’re each other’s desire? It’s time for you to know that I’m not lying when I say I feel butterflies every time you catch my eyes in the Hogwarts corridors,and I’m not lying when I say that I was sad because you seemed to not care about talking to me...>> you interrupted the boy <<Ronald how can you think about that? The days went by,you and Cedric started becoming closer. You began to sit near each other during lunch,you studied together even the subject you both were good at and slowly became friends,but you knew Cedric had feelings for you,everyone knew it,Draco included. And what about that blonde Slytherin? He had been ignoring you for weeks now,he was leaving in his world where he was the king of Hogwarts and Astoria was his queen. They became the popular couple because they were hot and so much into each other. You thought Draco was into Astoria more than he was into you when you were dating,and you didn’t know whether to be happy he had forgotten you or to be so disappointed because apparently you weren’t so important anymore,and,maybe,you had never been.

You looked at the bracelet made in sapphire and emerald Draco gifted you with for your first anniversary:you didn’t know why but you were still wearing it,you couldn’t get rid of that jewel.

“It’s as shiny as your eyes”

You remembered what Draco had told you when you were opening it,sighing and asking yourself if he gave something similar to Astoria as well. Suddenly you remembered that Cedric was waiting for you in the courtyard <<Fuck!>> you mumbled,looking at the clock hung on the wall of your bedroom and then running away.

<<I thought you weren’t coming,Y/n>> Cedric smiled as soon as he had seen you <<I’m sorry-you scratched your head-I didn’t see the clock>> you muttered <<Are you okay?-he asked-you seem quite distracted>> he replied,pointing at your tie which wasn’t tied. You gulped and looked at it <<Oh my God,I’m so silly>> you were about to tie it but Cedric preceded you.

He stood up and took the cloth of the tie,tiding it slowly. You looked at him:he was so close. You eyes jumped from an angle to another of his face:he was so pretty. His eyes were as deep as the ocean and as warm as the light of the sun,his lips were thin and so kissable. You loved to see them curving in smiles. <<Done>> Cedric soft spoken,still close to you. You stared into each other’s eyes for a few seconds and then he showed one of his pretty smiles,making your heart flutter as he touched your nose with his finger.

<<Enough,Diggory>> a voice suddenly broke up the sweet moment. Cedric lifted up his head,looking behind you <<Fuck off Malfoy. Go away,it’s none of your business>> <<None of my business?>> Draco growled <<Right,none of your business!>> you exclaimed. The boy laughed and walked towards you. <<Then if it’s none of my business tell me why you’re still wearing the bracelet I gave you. Uh? You’re not dumb,If you wanted to take it off you would have done it a long ago...but you didn’t>> <<The fuck are you talking about? What am I supposed to do? Throw away a bracelet made in emerald and sapphire? I wouldn’t do it even if it was from my worst enemy!>> you replied <<Then give it back>> Draco smirked,teasing you <<How can you be so rude,Malfoy?>> Cedric growled <<Do you want me to punch you in that pretty face?>> Draco demanded,lifting up one eyebrow;Cedric laughed <<Show me,you asshole>>.

Draco grabbed Cedric from the shoulders and pushed him,the back of the Hufflepuff violently hit the ground,making a suffocated noise. The two students were now pushing and hitting each other,rolling on the floor to decide who was the strongest. They yelled curses against each other until Malfoy grabbed Cederic’s neck,blocking the boy on the ground. <<If it’s not enough I can kill you right now!>>.

<<Stop,stop! You’re not animals!>> you shouted in fear,grabbing Draco by the hood of his black robe,taking him away from Cedric.

<<Are you fucking mad?>> you shouted,slapping the boy’s face <<Fuck off>> he mumbled. You offered your hand to the Hufflepuff and helped him standing up <<I’m so sorry,are you okay?>> you checked on him <<It’s not your fault and I’m fine thanks. Just a few bruises here and there>> Cedric tried to tone the things down but you knew that nothing was as fine as he said <<Let’s go to- >> your sentence got cut off.

Draco stood up,pushed Cedric away and grabbed your waist gently,kissing you on the lips. A hand caressing the side of your neck. <<Choose>> he said <<What?>> you asked <<Choose. I’m tired of pretending I don’t care about you anymore! I’m tired of pretending I like Astoria when the only thing I keep thinking about is you!>> the light of anger in Draco’s icy eyes had already left,leaving a space to a sad one. <<Let’s talk about it once you had brought Cedric to Madame Pomfrey and you had apologised to him>>

You were sitting at the table made in wood that was located in the centre of the tent you and the Golden Trio had been living in.

The past days had been quite rough,you had been looking for those awful Horcrux Voldemor had hidden here and there to protect the pieces of his soul;but you knew really well that it wasn’t what was bothering you the most.

That stupid adventure was just one of the many you went trough since you met Harry,Ron and Hermione;what was causing you pain was the thought your loved one was doing something so bad and so dangerous against his will.

You sighted looking at the ring you were playing with.<<Something’s still wrong,doesn’t it?>> asked Hermione sitting beside you <<I’m totally fine>> you replied,hiding the ring in the pocket of your coat,it was really cold in the woods. <<Don’t lie to me Y/n,I had been knowing you for years now,I can clearly tell when you feel sad or upset. Is that about Draco again?>> your friend said softly,fearing to hurt you even more <<I can’t get him out of my mind,Hermione. I feel like he needs to be rescued by someone who truly loves him. He’s not his parents. I learnt it the day I started getting along with him>> you answerd showing her the silver ring Draco lost the day he left Hogwarts to fight by Voldemort’s side <<I had been keeping it with me. I tried to throw it into the woods but I can’t. I miss him. I feel sad for him. Hermione I...I wanna save him>>.

<<Who do you want to save?>> asked Ron confused while entering into the tent <<No one>> you whispered <<It’s about Draco again,am I wrong?>> the boy with red hair had been knowing you for years too,don’t forget it. <<She thinks Draco deserves better>> Hermione said holding your hand <<You’re wasting time-Ron replied with no hesitation-you can’t save him,no one can. He’s gone. I’m sorry,I know I sound bitter,mean and cold but...>> <<Talk for you!>> you exclamed,interrupting the boy,while getting up and walking out the tent. <<Congrats Ron! You’ve done another one of your great jobs! How can you be so apathetic?>> Hermione asked clearly disappointed,rolling her eyes.

You sat on a rock a few steps away from your tent and started thinking about what Ron had said. Deep down your heart you knew he wasn’t completely wrong,but the hope was stronger than anything else and the desire to see Draco once again was burning your heart down. You could feel it. Your heart was begging you to enter the Malfoy Manor and look into Draco’s eyes again.

You couldn’t help but think about the right spell. Apparition.

It was one of the hardest and one of the most dangerous,but you had to try it.

<<What are you doing?>> suddenly asked Harry,making you start from fright <<Where have you been?>> you asked him back <<Around,trying to destroy this damn necklace>> <<Good luck,It’s harder than what we thought>> <<We can’t give up. But what about you? You haven’t answered me yet>> <<I was just thinking>> you replied while going away.

It was better for Harry to not know what you were about to do,you didn’t want him to worry or get mad. He was your best friend,he was one of the people that had never left your side.

As soon as you found a quiet place you took a deep breath and started imagining the huge Malfoy Manor.

The image of the house slowly appeared in your mind,becoming more focused and detailed second by second. You could see the large entrance gate with its tall, dense hedges surrounding the dark green grass.The air was bleak as the pointed roofs of the towers of the house cut through the sky obscured by pitch-black clouds.

Suddenly your body was shaked by a magical power,you closed your eyes and once you opened them again you found yourself standing in the centre of a big,cold bedroom...Draco’s bedroom.

<<Damn I did it!>> you proudly exclaimed,smiling and lowering your voice a little bit,you couldn’t let the Deatheaters hear you.

Suddenly,without the need to expose yourself by looking for Draco along the house,the bedroom door opened and revealed the boy’s blonde hair.

As soon as Draco saw you his face became pale. He entered the room and closed the door behind his back <<What are you doing here?! Are you crazy or something?! Get out from here! The Deatheater mustn’t see you there!>> he whispered,getting closer.

You ignored his words,or maybe you were just so destabilised by your heart beating so fast that you couldn’t even understand what he was saying,however you hugged him tightly.

You wrapped you hands on his shoulders and let your head rest on the soft cloth of his black jacket <<Come back to Hogwarts,please. The manor isn’t your home anymore>> you whispered almost crying.

Draco didn’t say anything,he just caressed your back and then he looked straight into your shiny eyes <<You know I can’t>> he said softly,wiping away a little tear that was slowly coming down from one of your eyes <<You can. Take my hand. Come on Draco,let’s go far away from here. Please,don’t let me fight alone.>> <<I said that I can’t. They will kill both of us.
