Greenland’s references. I made the first one but realised I had never actually given any thought to how long her hair would be so I made another page

Anyway so in my headcannon she’s the only Nordic that isn’t actually related to the other Nordics, her being the Thule Cultures daughter. Her relationship to Denmark is strained at best, she is always civil and polite but she doesn’t trust Denmark at all after everything she, and her ancestors did to her. This distrust extends to most of the European countries since they also weren’t exactly the nicest to her either. She doesn’t have a lot of friends because of this, but she doesn’t have a lot of enemies either, she’s just sort neutral with most countries.

Her closest friend and partner is Antarctica. In the 19th and 20th centuries they were both quite involved in polar exploration, Greenland helped to train explorers and Antarctica was involved in most of them. They sort of understood each other as both of them were often disrespected and infantilised by the people around them. Greenland because she’s Inuit and Antarctica because she’s mute.

She got her scar from a fight with Denmark when Denmark forced most of the inhabitants of the traditional villages that until the 1950s were where all Greenlanders lived. When Denmark tried to force her out she refused at first but Denmark would not take no for an answer.

Anyway that concludes my novel on an anthropomorphic country

Anyway in this flock of Germanys we have modern Germany/West Germany, who is so terrified of upsetting people he ends up making much worse through inaction than he would were he to just put his foot down, East Germany who essentially killed himself through the reunification agreement, but at least he had a nice last year after he finally was able to leave the USSR, but before he, you know, died and finaly we have Weimar Republic, modern Germany’s well meaning, but not particularly bright dead aunt

this like many of my random little interaction headcannons is based off of an actual historical anecdote, that being the only non-German to ever fly a komet was a Scottish man just after the war ended

also I’m not gonna lie I did trace the komet because even just normal looking planes are hard as hell to draw.

I should also probably mention GERMANY AND REICH ARE NOT THE SAME PERSON. Germanys like 17 in this image, or he would be were he a human.

I completely forgot to mention but Germany is a trans guy in my HC which is why he's wearing the skirt
