BASIC RUNDOWN ON DEV UPDATE

idk about you guys but I dont like watching dev updates bc they stress me out. I saw tho how much theyre changing so I figured I should listen and do a quick post explaining all the updates for those who dont like to watch either lol

Social Feature Changes-

endorsements: at the end of games, you can look at players on yours and the other team. you will be able to recognize them in game for certain behaviors to show they shined in that area. you can endorsements in sportsmanship, good teammate, and shot caller. people who hit high endorsement levels will receive check in rewards!

sportsmanship example: “hey enemy widow, that was a super good shot! you fucked me up bruh! gg!” (applies to both teams)

good teammate example: self explanatory. good heals, good defense, good overall. (applies to your team only)

shot caller example: someone who helps make the right decision like ‘oh we could really use a reaper for this winston’ and actually contributing useful info for the team. (applies to your team only)

Looking for Group: a system so you can make a group to your exact specifications. (for example- you can restrict to find people to 2, 2, 2 comp with) you will have the ability to enforce those who volunteer to play those roles, to only play those roles (ie: support is Amanda. Amanda cannot switch off support) or you can just stick to an open group! You can also do things like group names, mics only, stuff like that!

Player Profiles- you can now control who sees it. You can put it private, friends only, or public. By default, they will not be public with the update. This is being done because of the fact that sometimes others gave people a hard time because of their profile stats.

Misc Info Changes-

Attack and Defense Heroes are being merged into one category as ‘Damage’! so Tracer and Junkrat will be in the same category as Damage, for example. It’s being done to help looking for group!
