i can’t stop thinking about the way messi’s whole career is literally a movie. here’s why:

messi is the typical, stereotypical main character. he’s the usual good guy, good feelings, amazing skills, everybody loves him, many envy him; undeniably the main character.

he has it all except one thing and it seemed like he was destined to never have that thing he desired. he tried and tried and tried and even quitted but decided to keep fighting for his dream.

then the fucking power of friendship comes around, with some young unexperienced guy who had the magnificent plan to basically achieve the impossible. the moment were the "nothing is impossible if we do it together moment" that i personally despise in any superhero movie.

from that moment messi started a streak of 36 unbeaten matches. then the most important match comes, during messi's probable last world cup, and he loses.

but he steps up and says "we won't let the people down, have faith on us" (he literally fucking said that)

and since that moment it all escalated towards the final, where he fought until the last minute and finally, after years of trying and trying, he succeeded and had the happiest ending.

he spent years trying to achieve his dream and get an international title for argentina, and went from failing constantly to get it all in the span of 18 months.

he achieved all that with the power of friendship and a bit of insanity. literally a movie.
