What was said in that post unfortunately seems pretty likely. Although there is always the possibility of rise coming back in some way even if its a small one. If the post is true then its still likely that we'll see the rise gang again possibly in the form of references like how every tmnt has references to the one that came before or even a crossover. Even then, the Rise fandom are making comics, animations/animatics, fanfics, fanart and a bunch of content to be consumed even if it isnt technically canonical and the 2012 fandom is still decently active based on what I've seen even though its pretty old.

That's true. The fandom will keep Rise going in one way or another. It's just sad to see it pushed off to the side just as it was coming into its own. It didn't deserve such an abrupt death. The Rise crew did an amazing job with the hand they were dealt, though; the Season 2 finale and the movie are both spectacular.

I would like to briefly digress. With the focus shifting toward Mutant Mayhem, I'm scared that I'm going to become just like the elitists who judged Rise without even giving it a proper look. I saw the concept art for the turtles in MM, and my gut reaction was along the lines of "Ew, what have they done to my boys?" I sneered at the comments calling it a "return to form" and an "example of what teenagers really look like." But that isn't right. I shouldn't be doing that. We all have different tastes as TMNT fans, and we need to respect that. And the movie isn't even out yet. It could end up being really good.

In any case, prepare for the worst but hope for the best. Brace for official news of Rise being canceled, but hope for a Rat King movie or a third season, however unlikely it may be. Hope that Mutant Mayhem delivers a high-quality experience. Hope that the TMNT fandom never loses its creative drive or its fervent passion for all things turtles.

There's just something special to me about talking to others online. I don't really know what it is or how to articulate it. It can get really chaotic really quickly, too--in the best way possible. :)
