In this shot Krauser looks like a fucked up fallen angel. His mutated arms look like fucked up wings.

I'm convinced this imagery was on purpose. He used to be a good guy, but he succumbed to his own hate and bitterness and "fell" to the dark side. His anger is even justifiable.

I think that's very Lucifer aka the devil of him.
