SonElise Week Day 4: Alternate timeline

"Elise... I'm sorry..."

I didn't really know what to do for this prompt, so I redrew an idea from a previous post 😅

Alternate timeline were instead of Elise and Sonic being transported to the flame of hope after the Solaris fight, it's just Sonic who gets transported.

Sonic realizes he has to blow out the flame without being able to say goodbye to Elise... he won't be able to see her smile one last time before he forgets everything... it hurts to think about...

and... he hesitates.

This isn't how he wanted this adventure to end.... not like this...

...but he knows what has to be done. He has to blow the flame out, whether he likes it or not.

I hate shipcourse so much. I said I wasn't proship or antiship and only labelled myself when it benefitted me, then had somebody go through my reddit history to "proof I was anti" because of a post I made for shits and giggles. I only say I'm anti to avoid harassment, because if you say "I'm neutral" or "there's nuance to be had" or "I just want people to tag their shit" people assume you're a proshipper.

I asked another subreddit what was the worst fanfic people have read out of morbid curiosity, and apparently that means I'm pro-harassment and censorship!

I don't care what you write, you have the freedom to do so. I also have the freedom to dislike it. I am not "pro" or "anti" anything! I just have my own damn opinions and want to share them! I ain't even harassing anybody! I don't go to their fanfic's comment section or anything, I keep my opinions in general places where ALL kinds of discussions are allowed.

This miniature culture war has spooked the minds of millions, causing any amount of nuance to be thrown out the window! I've even shown proof of me encouraging a writer to write messed up fanfiction on the thread they used to publicly shame me! They're so possessed by ideology that they don't understand that not everyone fits nicely into whatever box you shove them in. This is why nobody likes fandom anymore! You have to walk on eggshells around everybody!
