What Determines How You Make Decisions? Is It Based On What You See, How You Feel, Or What You Think?

What determines how you make decisions? Is it based on what you see, how you feel, or what you think? If so, you might want to rethink that because this is not what the Word of God tells us how to live.

When most people hear the word 'obedience' they often bristle because it goes against our human nature of putting ourselves first because our natural tendency is to want to be in control of our own lives, but God has a better plan!

You see when we listen to God’s guidance, heed His direction and faithfully apply the instruction in His Word, we will always be both in His Perfect Will, and as Joshua 1:8 promises, “Prosper and succeed in all you do.”

Obedience to God and choosing His ways is not always easy, and the British author and lay theologian G.K. Cheserton put this well saying:

It’s not that the Christian faith has been tried and found difficult, but rather it’s been found Difficult and left untried.

So Christian, do not live your life by what you FEEL, but be obedient in FAITH and God will always safely and successfully direct your path.

If You Are Lost, You Need A Compass, But Even If You Have One, Which Direction Is YOUR Compass Pointing?

If you are lost, you need a compass, but even if you have one, which direction is YOUR compass pointing? A compass has 360 points, so the question is, is your needle pointing true north, or one of 359 other degrees that will lead you astray?

You see, in this life we all are 'lost' on our path to eternity, so we need a true compass to lead us to safety. The question is where do we find this compass of life, and what direction does it say we should go?

Jesus gave us the answer when He said:

“ I am the way, The truth, and The life. No man cometh unto the Father, BUT BY ME.” John 14:6

You see, the compass Christ gives us will always point 'True North' and just like today’s scripture will always point us on The Way To God.

When you follow HIS Pointer, it will ALWAYS point you to SAFETY.

We Live In A Culture Of Offenses Where We Must Be Careful To Continually Be Politically Correct Or We

We live in a “culture of offenses” where we must be careful to continually be politically correct or we might get in hot water and offend those around us. Sadly, offending people has become a sort of negative norm and has risen to the forefront in our daily interactions with each other. As hard as we try, somewhere someone is offending somebody sometime and we have no control over how people respond to what happens to them. So while we have zero control about the response of people that feel offended, we have total control of how WE respond when people offend us.

We can’t help the poor actions or offensive statements of others, nor can we stop racists from hating, sexists from denigrating, or elitists from power trips, but God has given each of us the spirit of Self-Control — the self-same spirit that Jesus practiced all throughout His ministry. When or if you are confronted with offensive verbiage or other abuse, practice the following:

See offenders as broken people in need of God’s grace, not as people who are out to get you

Extend grace and compassion towards those who hurt you.

Choose not to take up an offense and let it roll off your back!

Like anything in life, GODLY LOVE is the answer. When someone offends you, forgive and pray for them. Their offensive action is a clue they need inner healing and compassion.

Nothing Would Be More Devastating Than To Hear These Words From Jesus, And It Begs The Question We All

Nothing would be more devastating than to hear these words from Jesus, and it begs the question we all ought to ask:

How would you rate YOUR love and commitment for God? Is it close, devoted, and reverent? Or casual, presumptive, or lacadaisical?

If you don’t reverence the Lord as Almighty, the Creator who MADE YOU and LOVES YOU wholeheartedly and have not this same union with Him in your heart, your 'lukewarmness' might as well be ICY COLD.

Friend, if this is the case in your life, look inside your heart and examine where you stand with the Lord. If you need to rekindle your love for God, don’t stay in a rebellious or indifferent state! Instead pray:

Dear LORD, I have cooled my heart towards you. Please forgive me, Lord. I am so sorry, and I ask You to soften my heart, because I realize how much you love me. I don’t want to be lukewarm in my life towards you, but instead to rightfully honor you as my Lord and God with my whole heart on fire for you from this moment on for the rest of my life. — AMEN
