Do you think Yūji ever panics when he sees himself in the mirror? Do you think he flinches when he sees that pink hair of his? Do you think he cries after a while when all he sees is Sukuna? Sukuna with the same nose as him. Sukuna with the same lips as him. Sukuna with the same eyes as him.

Do you think Yūji ever takes a marker to his face to draw on the same markings as Sukuna, his fingers trembling, just so he can see what others see. Just so he can understand how others feel. Just so he has the comfort of washing off the ink knowing that at that very moment he is in control. This is his body. Yūji Itadori. This is him.

Sukuna isn't there, and yet he still haunts him. With every flinch, with every waver, with every shaky breath. Yūji will never be free.
