The Yerítrea are living in Eywa'tsngal (my own biom I am working on) in the forest. They are sacred to the 3 Na'vi clans who are living there (my 3 own fan clans), especially the Yekape which are having a strong spiritual bond to these animals.

The chief of the Yekape is always a Yerítrea Makto. After the death of the chief, the Yerítrea he was riding will go back to the forest, because they are only bonding with one Na'vi for their whole life. Only the Na'vi who will bond with a Yerítrea and get chosen by one, is worthy to lead the Yekape.

To bond with a Yerítrea is really rare. These Animals are really big and they can do extreme damage with their horns, if they attack. You need to show them respect if you want to get close to one.

The horns from the Yerítrea are even glowing after their deaths and the Yekape keep them after the animals die. These horns are used for spiritual rituals.

Killing a Yerítrea is strictly forbidden and will end in the Yekape trying to avenge the death.
