They always say you shouldn’t idolize rock stars because of the drug culture or the “unrealistic reality” that they live their lives in. But think about it:

Stevie Nicks is the definition of a strong, confident, independent woman.

Freddie Mercury lived his truth everyday and didn’t pay attention to others’ opinions of who and what he should be.

Roger Taylor wore whatever the hell he wanted, and rocked the daylights out of it, all while fighting for humanitarian and political causes he believed in.

Brian May is a major advocate for education throughout life and animal welfare.

Glenn Frey and John Deacon made sure family was a top priority.

John Lennon and George Harrison wanted people to try and do better.

Paul McCartney makes having lighthearted fun a priority.

Ringo Starr wants everyone to spread peace and love wherever they go.

Tom Petty believed in taking some time for yourself and not getting weighed down by all the small worries that tend to accumulate.

If those aren’t all valid truths to idolize, then frankly, I don’t know what is. Sometimes you just have to look in the right places.
