need help choosing a title for a wip. options under a cut because of the premise SUICIDE TW
I'd like to talk about my friend Mahmoud Abu Hamam, who currently needs your help.
Mahmoud is an engineering student whose studies were cut short when he lost everything and was thrust into a nightmare. On Oct. 7th, Israel launched their genocidal attack on Gaza, and Mahmoud has been evacuating from one place to another for the last 9 months.

Since the beginning of the war, Mahmoud has been documenting his experience while simultaneously experiencing profound losses.
Below is a video Mahmoud recorded on Oct. 7th at the very beginning of the genocide.
You can see below photos that Mahmoud has taken of the hardships he's faced, from saying goodbye to a good friend (though there are yet many he unfortunately was not able to say goodbye to), to documenting the water scarcity faced by every person in Gaza now.

(ID in Alt)
Through all the hardships he's faced, he is keeping hope alive, and all he wishes is to evacuate to Egypt and continue his studies. You can help him get closer to this goal by donating and sharing this fundraiser. The funds will go to his evacuation and to getting him back on his feet.

i know the majority of people if not everyone follows me for cm content but uhhh atla wip excerpt :)

zuko referring to himself in his narration as "the banished prince" and Katara as "the Avatar's waterbending teacher" because on some level he still doesn't view himself as being part of the group...raaaah.
really sick and tired of people saying âhow can this be happening in our time??â âimagine screaming for help and no one listensâ âwhy is no one doing anything??â âhow could I be witnessing a genocide in 2024?â Black people are still going through ethnic cleansing today from colonialism of Africa to the trans atlantic slave trade to chattel slavery to Jim Crow to mass incarceration to BLM to Cop City. We have been begging and screaming and crying for help, for mercy, for people to wake up and pay attention and you guys have ignored us and continue to do so. If you are saying Free Palestine but you dgaf about BLM, youâre not speaking up about Cop Cities or youâre not educating yourself on DRC, Sudan, Haiti, Ethiopia, etc., you are and always have been apart of the problem. You have blatantly ignored Black bodies being murdered mercilessly in the streets, being robbed of clean water at Flint and Atlanta, our Black towns being bombed, gentrification of Black neighborhoods, our lack of reparations and so much more. I donât want to hear anymore âhow could they do this?? why does no one care??â because you guys didnât care when it began, when it happened and as itâs happening right in front of you!! Where do you think Israel and most Western countries get their inspiration for colonialism and ethnic cleansing from?? Black people across the globe are still going through ethnic cleansing TODAY and have been since white colonialism touched Africa!! We have been on the front lines of most movements and you guys ignored us, called us violent, called us angry, called us ignorant. Weâve been saying we are not free until we are all free and everyone moved on with their lives and said âwell this doesnât affect me.â If youâre not going to check your anti-blackness at the door, be prepared for a failed revolution.
