Haunting: persistently recurring to the mind; difficult to forget. Hiraeth (Welsh): a blend of homesickness, nostalgia, longing; a pull on the heart that conveys a distinct feeling of missing something irretrievably lost. But something you may never have had in the first place. Someone you may never have had in the first place.
