London was so different from the quiet country life Jane was used to. Different even from Meryton.

But it was the season, and Charles insisted on visiting London. So they went and opened the London house, and accepted invitations as was expected of them.

Jane recognized some of the faces in the ballroom, mostly from other balls and from around the ton. One such face was that of Miss Penelope Featherington, Jane remembered the girl standing near her mama and sisters at the Danbury ball, she seemed quiet and shy much like Jane herself.

Charles was off dancing with Caroline, giving Jane a moment to rest and chat with the other ladies who weren't currently dancing.

"Hello, Miss Featherington. I hope you're enjoying yourself this evening."
