Something I forgot to add on my last post!!

None of my OCs exist in the same universe! I have other Encanto OCs but they do not interact and are not present in each other’s stories. So if some events in my future fics are different from my other ones, it’s not a writing error, it’s because they are different stories

summary: You are married to James Patrick March because of an organized marriage, but you don't feel nothing for him, and he surely don't feel anything for you. Or does he?

A/N: this is settled in the 20' when James was still alive. also I'm thinking about doing pt.2, tell me if you want it :)

Drunk Confessions

One year and 265 days. That's how long you've been married to James Patrick March. Before your wedding, you barely knew him. And now, you shared with him the last name, your life, and the Hotel he had just ultimated.

You didn't shared any kind of actual relationship. You consumed your wedding only the night after the pronunciation of your vows, but never again after that. You didn't loved each other, and not even the act of making love could bring a little sparkle between the two of you.

You hated him? Definitely. He always treated you in horrible ways. Calling you name that you would never repeat neither to your worst enemy, and being an awful husband. The first days it was good, you even tried to start some kind of friendship, but just as he was starting to open, the day after it made clear how much he despised you.

You weren't complaining out loud that your parents choosed him to live with you for the rest of your life, but oh if you did. Never a gift, a dinner out, or just a small compliment. He didn't loved you, you didn't loved him. But could he at least try? You always did your best to make it work for the both of you, but you just end up being his little maid.

When he was home at least. He was always busy with something the concerned the hotel, or some other business that he didn't want you to know. You were currently in your shared room, sitting on your bed reading a book. He was currently out for some business regarding once again the building, and you were left alone.

Flipping between the pages, you heard a noise coming from the hallway. Just before you could got up to go check what the noise was, the door to your room opened, revealing your very drunk husband. "Shhh."

He brought his finger to his lips, probably trying to silence the door. A giggle escaped your mouth, but you tried to keep it quiet since you wanted to enjoy this show a little more. "My wife is sleeping and you loud door, need to make less noise."

How sweet of him. You though rolling your eyes. He turned around making his way to the bathroom, before bumping into a small table. "Ugh you little table! Don't your heard what i told the door?" He moved the table away and went to the bathroom. After that it was silent for a couple of minutes, until he came in the room again, dressed in his night robe.

You pretended to be asleep as he put himself to bed, under the covers with you. "And who are you exactly?" He asked you. He's so drunk he doesn't even recognize me? "Who do you think i am?" You asked back, enjoying the situation. "Not my wife for sure. You're not beautiful as she is, but again, no one really is. No offense dear, I'm sure you're quite a beauty too."

You started blushing immediately. You couldn't help it. Still, you couldn't believe your hears. Did he just made you a compliment? "You think so?" You kept playing with him, wanting to know more about it. "I sure do. Everyone with a pair of eyes could tell it." You didn't know how to answer. It was probably the alcool talking.

He looked up at the ceiling before spoking again. "I must admit, i never treated the way she deserves. Bad james, bad!" He slapped himself as a way to punish himself and, once again, you were speechless. "She's a creature from heaven. My marriage with her was such a delightful experience for me, but i realized that i can't love her. I can't." He made a pause breathing slowly, then he talked again.

"Love is a weakness. That's what my father always said. I don't know if that's true, but for what I do, it's better keeping her out of it, and i just thought that making her believe that i hated her would have helped. What do you think, stranger lady?" He turned to you. Your mouth slightly open, your mind was refusing to believe what he just said while your heart, well, your heart was already on cloud seven.

You stuttered something. "I, I... You love her?" You asked, almost scared of the answer. He sighed. "Eh, I'm afraid that my plan didn't worked, because I do love her." You let a few tears ran down your cheeks. For all this time, the only thing you ever desired was for James to just at least appreciate you, or what you did for him. And now, he have loved you for all this time?

You quickly wiped your tears away, in hope that James didn't noticed them. "Does she loves me too? In your opinion." "Well, do you think she loves you? After the way you treat her everyday? After what you call her? Have you ever complimented her?" You answered him, maybe more harshly than you wanted it to be.

But could someone blame you? He has always treated you like some nothing, and now he loved you? "Yeah, she could never love me, could she? Oh dear lord, i sound like some little girl with her first crush." There was a long pause after that, where he closed his eyes.

You though he was asleep, and right before you were about to, you heard his voice again. "y/n? You awake?" You didn't answered. Did he knew it was you all along? "Of course you're not, you lazy woman. Bah, never mind, keep sleeping." These were his last words before he truly fell asleep. You on the other hand, highly doubted that you could have sleep that night.

Ranking the Losers Club Member’s Family Dynamics

(this focuses primarily on the book content, but there are heavy mentions of both the miniseries and reboot movies)

((DISCLAIMER: this is not in any way meant to compare any of their separate traumas that they’ve endured, I only mean to judge their parents and essentially create an analysis of my theoretical reasoning as to why each of them relies on the club. also to point out the inaccuracies of fanfic authors. thx))

Least to Most Healthy

7. Obviously in dead last is Beverly Marsh. While I see nothing with single-parent households or single dads raising their daughters alone, this does not apply to the way Alvin Marsh treats his daughter. And in this case, Beverly’s mother Elfrida not being in the picture has a negative and traumatic toll on the way Beverly’s childhood plays out. The 1986 book version has Alvin abusing Beverly while her mother is out working, making Elfrida neglectful but in proximity to Beverly’s pain. In the movie, Alvin’s resentment of Beverly stems from him blaming her for Elfrida’s death and his projection of his late wife onto Beverly is both disgusting and abusive. This toxic dynamic ends up negatively affecting a good portion of her life by stunting her emotional and mental development as it comes to understanding how healthy relationships work. As a child, she doesn’t have a single female friend (which is not bad) because of her class and her rumored promiscuity. Even upon meeting her new found family consisting  of the Loser’s Club, she is unable to recognize healthy and innocent romantic relationship cues from Ben, who unabashedly admires and respects her. As an adult, she is forced to endure several toxic relationships because she has always related abuse and negligence to love. Fortunately for Beverly, Alvin ends up dying and she and Ben end up creating a new family.

6. Eddie Kaspbrak earns the 6th spot on this list. A lot like Beverly, his single-parent household is a large factor as to why his family dynamic is so toxic and unhealthy. His father’s death causes his mother Sonia to spiral and take a deep mental plunge that she drags Eddie into. Because of this, Eddie becomes a victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy, a disorder that his mother has. Essentially, she shifts herself into the role of caregiver by imposing psychosomatic illnesses onto Eddie just so he’d stay with her. Sonia’s disorder causes her to exhibit all of the classic and well-known tactics used by abusers, such as isolating Eddie from his friends and gaslighting him about his supposed illnesses. Though he does end up eventually standing up to her, and standing up for his friends, Sonia’s treatment of Eddie impacts him well into his adult life. He ends up marrying a woman named Myra for the sole reason that she is like his mother, although he harbors no love for her. Both Myra and Sonia are visually identical, though the similarities do not end there. Like his mother, Myra is manipulative and over worries herself over Eddie’s health. He even goes so far as to call her “Mommy” on accident. Eddie clearly has deep-seated issues regarding his mother that he unfortunately never got to work through.

5. This member may be a more controversial analysis as we don’t get much interaction between him and his parents, and his character background doesn’t involve his parents. In any case, Stanley Uris is the last of the tail end of the worst family dynamic. It can be argued that a large part of what makes Stanley himself is the fact that he holds himself to high standards, I disagree. As we see in the book, the miniseries, and the movies, Stan is a logical, rational, skeptical young man who takes the longest to accept that It is an actual threat. The movies definitely do not take much liberty in deepening the characters’ relationships with their parents, besides them being largely neglectful, but Stan’s parents are seen and mentioned to a degree more than the other Losers. In my opinion, this was a good thing because it adds layers to Stan’s character and why he acts the way he does. His father is strict and unrelenting when it comes to the way Stan practices their religion, even going as so far to imply that Stan is incompetent for not being able to properly read from the Torah. In a way, it is almost understandable as to why Stanley’s father pressures him so much, as I doubt that Derry in the 60′s-80′s was very accepting of the Jewish religion. As presumably the only Rabbi to a small and close knit congregation in a small minded town full of prejudice, Stanley’s father had much to lose in terms of respect and status, which of course does not excuse mistreating his own child. This mistreatment negatively affects Stanley as he develops into having unhealthy standards for himself. His is an obsessive perfectionist, logical to the point of being obnoxious, and deep inside himself, a coward. Stand devolves into a mindset that if he isn’t perfect, he shouldn’t try at all. This is displayed when he kills himself as an adult. He is so afraid of being afraid, of potentially letting his friends down that he doesn’t want to live with the consequences if he were to fail them. I really do wish I was able to talk to these kids.

4. Smack in the middle of the list is our favorite Stuttering Bill Denbrough. He gets middle place because of how inconsistent his parents’ involvement in his life was. It was said that before Georgie died, they were all a happy and loving family, which would’ve given him a higher place on this list if not for obvious reasons. After Georgie’s death, his parents are suddenly cold and withdrawn, hardly noticing if he’s around. This causes Bill to draw the conclusion that his parents also blame him for Georgie’s death. Coupled with the guilt he is already struggling to deal with, his parents benign neglect pushes Bill into being unable to properly grieve Georgie and sets him on a destructive path of vengence. A large part of the reason why Bill wants to kill it so badly (besides Georgie) is that he hopes that killing Georgie’s murderer will make his parents pay attention to and love him openly again. This neglect continues well after It’s initial demise at the hands of the Loser’s Club, until Mr. and Mrs. Denbrough, along with Bill, forget about the horrific circumstances surrounding Georgie’s murder. While I don’t think their treatment of Bill affects him much in the long run, it is important to note that Bill doesn’t fully repair his relationship with either of his parents before their deaths.

3. Halfway done and only two to go, Ben Hanscom makes it into the top three of this overly long and detailed ranking. There’s not much to say about his relationship with his family, which is honestly a good thing considering the rest of this list so far. Though Ben never really got to know his father, he greatly admired him and held his father to high standards. Ben is shown to love his mother very much, a feeling she reciprocates, but he does hold a light resentment towards her for forcing him to move to Derry against his wishes. Upon meeting Beverly and becoming a part of the Loser’s Club, he quickly forgets his aggravation towards his mother and aunt for coddling his bratty cousin and forcing him to live in Derry. As an adult, though largely successful and more confident in his looks due to losing the weight that made him a target for bullies, Ben is notably lonely. I feel like Ben’s relationship with his mother instilled an internal desire for Ben to have a family of his own, which isn’t a bad thing at all. Just something I noticed.

2. Mike Hanlon is a close second, as he has a pretty healthy relationship with his family. In the book, he lives with his mother and father, along with his aunt, uncle and grandfather. He lives next door to Henry Bowers and his father, which is a large point of contrition between the two as Henry’s father regularly hurled racial insults and long-winded rants of his hatred toward Will Hanlon. This influenced Henry into hating Mike the same way, even going so far as so kill Mike’s dog with rat poison. Due to this bullying, Mike’s family opted to send him to their fellowship’s church school, as Mike was the only African American boy in Derry. This unintended isolation made Mike lonely, though he loved his family dearly. In the miniseries, we do not see Mike interact with anyone outside of the Losers Club and the Bowers Gang. In the movies, Mike witnessed his parents die in a fire when he was young, which traumatized him. He and his grandfather do not get along so well, as Mike’s grandfather feels like Mike should be learning how to make harder decisions and “be a man” like Will was. As an adult, Mike chooses to stay in Derry even after all of his friends leave because he feels a responsibility to both his friends and to the children of Derry that suffered because of Pennywise.

1. I’m sure it surprised a great many people, but yes, Richie most definitely had the healthiest family dynamic. Wentworth and Maggie Tozier were loving and attentive parents who dotted on and supported Richie considerably. This was actually noticeably strange behavior as almost none of the parents in Derry were super into their kids’ happiness and health. Wentworth enthusiastically joined in when Richie did his voices and while Maggie didn’t fully get Richie’s hyperfixation with doing voices, she made every effort to understand and support him. This could potentially explain why Richie held such a laidback point of view of Pennywise and didn’t take the threat as seriously as he should have. Unlike most of the Losers Club, Richie had loving parents who had a steady and constant flow of income. Sure, he was bullied for having glasses and buck teeth, but Richie rationalized and saw the upside to what others saw as flaws. While he did need and love and want to be apart of the Losers Club, he didn’t see it as an escape or an outlet like the other kids did. As an adult, Richie’s nonchalance about Pennywise’s return could factor into false bravado as well as the realization that his life isn’t affected by Pennywise anymore regardless.

Jasper x Bella fanfic requested by Anon :)

The soft beat of her heart called to him.

Forgetting about the book he'd been reading, Jasper Hale tensed as soon as the scent of blood and lavender intermingled in the air. Even as he sat on the leather seat in his study with the door shut, he could practically sense her presence seeping through the cracks of the doorframe. He had to hold his breath, clenching his jaw until his teeth ached when the sting of venom flooded his mouth.

He'd intended to run away, escape before anyone could notice, and feign disinterest in the human he'd once offered to kill to protect his family. But Alice was suddenly beside him before he could stand from his seat, a smile on her lips as she took his hand in hers, "You won't hurt her."

The surety in her words did little to console him as Jasper allowed the pixie to pull him close behind her. His stoic demeanor slowly masked the trepidation stirring inside him as he straightened and schooled his face to appear cold and distant.

It was impossible to ignore the girl's scent the moment she walked into the room, hand in hand with Edward, who had somehow fallen in love with a human. A human who was now welcomed with open arms by Carlisle and Esme. A young woman who would become "great friends" with Alice and a sister to Emmett. No matter how perplexed Jasper was to have a human in their lives, he wasn't nearly as hostile as Rosalie was when she seethed with jealousy at the sight of Bella.

The need to sink his teeth in her was almost overpowering, and it would have been had he not forced himself to focus on the fast beating of her heart as Alice wrapped her arms around her. Affection for the girl filling his senses when Alice beamed at her.

There was a small hint of fear that flowed in his direction when Bella looked at him, but there was also...wonder. A raw emotion inside him sprouted when she spoke to him for the first time, granting him a small awkward smile when he nodded in acknowledgment.

Betraying his instincts would be the most difficult thing Jasper has ever had to do, but the more he got to know Bella Swan, felt her troubled yet gentle emotions, the more he slowly convinced himself that he would indeed not harm her.

Because for Edward—for his family—he would not harm her.

That had been true, truer than anything Jasper had ever obsessed over in his immortal existence.

Until Bella's birthday, and he realized that he truly had no control over the monster that loomed over his shoulders—that urged him forward when a single drop of her blood ran down her index finger. The sound of her blood hitting the carpet making his entire body lock up as he instantly held his breath. But it wasn't Jasper who was about to lunge for Bella...

No, no no!

When he sensed Edward's need to kill permeate the room, Jasper charged for him before it was too late. Before Bella would be killed by the man she trusted and loved.

Edward!

Edward's eyes darkened when he read his brother's mind, instantly reining in the predator inside and replacing it with anger as he shoved Bella behind him and restrained Jasper when he charged.

The feral look in both their eyes as they came face to face was what spurred the other to react, Carlisle and Emmett wrapping their arms around both of them before they started fighting and harmed someone else. Jasper's growl resounded from within his chest as Edward wrapped his hand around his neck to prevent him from attacking.

I know what you want. But, stop now before it's too late. You can't hurt her, Edward! Not like this...

As he's hauled away by Emmett and Alice, the only thing Jasper could do was snap his teeth as a fraction of Edward's guilt swept over him before his thirst was awakened once more. When Edward turned to face Bella and found her even more injured than a simple paper cut, red blood running down the inside of her arm as she sat up in a daze. Crystals and ruined roses scattered on the floor around her. But before Edward could lay a hand on her as Jasper had expected him to, Carlisle kneeled next to the girl and inspected the damage done.

The distressed look on Bella's face as she watched Jasper get dragged away hurt him more than he thought it would. As if she felt guilty for hurting him. As if that were possible.

Try as he might, the anger and fear his family shared with him was impossible to fight off, and soon, he forced himself to come down to himself. Rejecting the pull that urged him to go back into that room and stand beside Bella, to know that she was alright.

Edward's emotions were the only ones he focused on as the thirst and want for the human girl in the house remained strong. Clenching his jaw and holding his breath once more, Jasper shut his eyes and begged, Don't hurt her, Edward. Please, don't hurt her.

That night, Jasper couldn't help but follow after them back to Bella's home, wanting to know Bella would be safe if Edward lost his control once more.

Jasper had been horrified that he'd taken the blame for a slip of his brother's control and created bigger chaos for wanting to protect Bella. Regardless of how unjust it was, he allowed Carlisle and Esme to convey their disappointment for him and Alice's hurt that she hadn't seen this happen. To protect his brother, Jasper gave up the truth...but maybe it was to hide his own truth as well. Why had he reacted in such a way? Why did he lose control of himself so easily to protect Bella when he'd wanted to kill her long ago to prevent this very thing from happening?

The empath had expected himself to slip up and try to kill her—he hadn't expected Edward to be the one to do so. Not Edward, of all people.

Watching from the tree line beside her home, hidden by the shadows, he watched her own shadow move behind the curtain of her bedroom as she paced uneasily back and forth. Clearly still frightened by the events of the night.

Jasper conveyed his lament and affection for the girl he'd unknowingly started to care for and when she paused in front of the window, he stepped further away before she could see him.

Jasper was utterly unaware that he'd never felt love for her the same way Emmett or Carlisle did. That wasn't the sort of affection he felt for Bella Swan—it never was. It was different...

Jasper left with a sigh of resignation when he felt Bella's emotions settle, and exhaustion took over her body and mind as she slipped into a deep sleep.

Hoping to ask for her forgiveness the next day, if she was willing to hear him out, he returned home and faced the consequences of his and Edward's actions.

Unaware that he would soon be betrayed by the fact that Edward knew that Jasper was Bella's true mate all along.

Thanks for reading x
