the faerie couldn't help but find it adorable that, whenever she was sick, ashmi would get ahold of her son to make something for her. she appreciates that he never seems to mind. " th-this looks and smells really d-delicious, samesh. thank you. " she manages a weak smile, sitting up a bit more before he sets the tray across her lap. agatha never asks for much when she's sick, or at least, she tries not to. she's gotten a little better at not making herself more sick by doing everything herself and accepting ashmi's help when she needs it.

" please t-tell ashmi she doesn't have t-to f-feel so bad about not being able to cook for me? i-it's the last thing that w-would ever upset me. " ashmi helps her more than she might know, so something like this is easily forgiven.

"Hey--" It's spoken quickly, just a way for the demon to get Aggie's attention so he can lean down and kiss the corner of her mouth. "You're very cute~"

" hm? " agatha's gaze lifts from her phone and she tilts her head upward, giving him her attention. with the sudden kiss to the corner of her mouth, her expression changes from one of curiosity to one of embarrassment. her freckles stand out more as her cheeks flush hotly, her blush spreading up to her pointed ears. her heart pounds rapidly against her ribs.

" j-james! y-you— you c-can't say or g-go and do a thing l-like that!! " the faerie protests, hiding her face in her hands.

" you weren't... you weren't supposed to see me... like this, dove... oh, dove, " maren was cradled in agatha's arms, covered in blood. her white pieces of clothing were stained a deep red from getting wounded by a shotgun, " i'm... so sorry, dove... i dragged you into... " the woman sucked in a large breath, sputtering a bit of blood from her mouth, feeling the fluid roll down to her neck, " into all of this... please, leave me here, and be free of... " emerald green struggled to stay open, maren reaching to weakly cup her wife's cheek, " be free of me, my beautiful dove... "

no... no, how could this happen? how... how could this happen to her, to them? " maren, please, y-you— you c-can't leave me! please, w-we were meant to grow old t-together! " after everything they've been through, this can't be it, right? it... no, no! there has to be more than this! " there h-has to be more, please, my love. y-you— you c-can't j-just die, maren, please! " the faerie sobs, hot tears pouring down her cheeks as she holds her tighter. she brings her hand up to rest over maren's, holding it more firmly against her cheek, moving her head to kiss her palm, smearing maren's blood across her lips.

she sees the life fading from her eyes and her own eyes widen. " n-no, no, no, no! maren! " agatha shakes her beloved, trying to rouse her, to bring her back, but it's futile. she's gone. she... she's gone. her sobs stop for a moment and she stares down at her dead wife. it's like the whole world has come to a sudden stop. her world has stopped. agatha exhales sharply, her chest tightening, her throat burning. a broken sob leaves her, then another. she holds maren's hand tighter and cradles her head against her chest, beginning to wail, mourning her one and only true love.
