a soft laugh leaves soryn and he gives an understanding nod. it seemed traffic could be hell in certain places regardless of what time it was. but that was okay since he was forgiving of his tardiness for their date. it was rare for the demon to meet at someones' home, but... gabe gave him a really good feeling when he saw his profile and when they started talking via messages. while he isn't inherently distrustful of humans, it was nice to feel that he could right off the bat.

" no, no, you said it correctly. " his smile grows as he nods. rarely has a first date ever asked if they were pronouncing his name right. then again, he wasn't just like some people, was he? gabe was thoughtful and considerate, even for someone re-entering the dating scene after having been out of it for some time. he made that fairly clear on his profile and soryn was understanding of that. a little surprised, maybe, but understanding regardless.

" why thank you! i get that a lot, actually, but it's still flattering to hear. " there are hardly any compliments that are too old or cheesy for him. of course he does hear that little stammer, but he wouldn't ever point something like that out, though it doesn't stop a hint of amusement from creeping into his smile. when gabe allows him inside, his gaze travels over the interior. " you have a really lovely place here, gabe. it's so warm, cozy and inviting. " if soryn ever considered moving out of his apartment, he might look into a house like this, though maybe a little smaller if he was still living on his own.

she sits on the porch, chin resting on her knees and her arms wrapped around her legs, slowly rocking back and forth a little to soothe herself. today was quite the day and now she just— she needed a moment.

agatha hears the door open behind her and feels the comforting weight of a heavy jacket. she glances up, and upon seeing simon, she manages a smile, pulling the jacket tighter around herself. " thank you. i didn't think to grab a sweater or anything else when i came out here. i just... needed some peace and quiet before the noise got to be too much. " she sighs, looking away. agatha wasn't keen on having a meltdown in front of everyone.

she runs her fingers through her hair. " a lot went on today. the kids woke me up super early, which frazzled me a bit, but i managed to get them to eat breakfast and drove them to school. went into work, and i guess i was still a bit off from how i'd woken up and i screwed up a few orders. " agatha frowns, twirling a lock of hair around her finger. " got yelled it a few times, it shook me up a bit. then i brought the kids home, got them to have a snack and settle down to do their homework so they could have some free time to play around. they just... the noise was getting to me after an already bad day, so i came out here because if i snapped or got upset, i'd be so angry with myself. " another sigh leaves her and she shakes her head.

her gaze remains averted for a moment longer before she looks back up at simon. her smile returns. " thank you for the jacket. i'll head back in soon. "

she holds her pencil between her lips, brow furrowed slightly as she erases a mistake she made. it isn't too easy, drawing from memory when agatha's memory kind of sucks even at the best of times. still, she didn't have her camera with her when she saw these flowers, so she tried to memorize them as best as she could, holding onto that image in her mind for as long as possible. she blends some of the shading with her finger, giving it a somewhat smoother look before picking the pencil back up. agatha leans over the drawing a bit as she gets down some of the finer details, pausing a moment to tuck some of her hair behind her ear, getting a bit of graphite on her cheek in the process.

agatha sits up, leaning back in the chair and stretching, feeling a few of her vertebra pop. well, her back feels a little better now. she sips some of her peach soda and eats a few pretzels, wiping her hands on a napkin before continuing with her drawing. after a little bit, she gets that peculiar feeling of being watched. the kids are in school, simon's out, so it could only be johnny. agatha's gaze lifts and she sees him watching from the couch, her heart fluttering from that look on his face. a sheepish smile forms on her lips, a light blush dusting her freckled cheeks. she used to get self conscious when he or simon would do that, but these days she doesn't mind it at all. agatha sits up again. " do you want to see what i'm working on? "
