so. ive just been playing around with like filter-y blending stuff and messing around with it cause im bored

but so its. very sloppy. and bad. so. im just. gonna share it here and brr

inspired by this post (which does it a lot better)

i. wanted to try to do like a partially silver partially blonde but i dont know how to do that so idk. its very messy.

silver tsum has green on the eyelid (i also gave him very faint blush while i was at it)

anyway im going to just say. im not an artist. i made an attempt. human silver's ear is traced from malleus' tsumsitter card art as ive never drawn an ear before, by no means am i taking credit im just entertaining an idea not submitting an art piece so i see no reason why i cant do it. itd be a different problem if it was a fae ear from someone else's art but its not and im not trying to pass it off as my own, its not really that good anyway. also the tsum's ears are based off of lilia's tsum. that ones not traced i referenced it because i didnt know how fae ears looked on tsums yes i realize i probably couldve also just used malleus' tsum card for reference as its RIGHT THERE but im dumb

this is very very bad and i dont think i did it right (i dont understand shading either lmfao. i tried referencing it but it didnt look right so at that point i just gave up and traced. and it still doesnt look right but i also have mixed feelings on ears so shrug.)

waiting this out stops him here

its probably a good idea to put this game on auto (or it wouldve felt smoother if the game automatically went to the next line as it sometimes does) but im worried it could skip something before i can read it (not necessarily related to audio issues n stuff, since some games' auto isnt that great)

Sunset Savannah’s Tamashina-Mina – Episode 5

Following is my translation of Episode 5 of the Tamashina-Mina event. This concludes the event.

Spoilers after the cut!

Episode 5-1 (A few hours later)

Referee: The teams that will advance to the finals have now been decided: Night Raven College Team and Sunset Team!

Grim: Nyahaha! We finally made it! You guys did good!

Vil / Kalim / Lilia: ……..

Lilia: Why is Grim acting all hoity toity like he’s our coach or something?

Leona: You’re in the way, furball. Move.

Grim: Ack!

Kalim: Ah, it’s Leona. We were waiting for you! So how did we do this round?

Leona: Not bad. Ya’ll didn’t do anything reckless this time. I’ll be watching the finals up close by the arena so I can give you guys some pointers. It’ll be a huge pain in the ass if anybody finds out, but ya gotta break a few eggs if ya want to make an’ omelet, so.

Vil: Oh, so you managed to sneak away from the VIP area again? I feel like Kifaji-san would've stopped you.

Leona: I got Cheka all riled up and had ‘im distract Kifaji for me so I could slip away. ‘Cause he’s the kid’s chaperone an’ all.

Jack: Now that you mention it, I heard someone shouting, “Ojitan!” earlier….

Lilia: Kufufu. To use your cute little nephew like that. You’re such a bad man.

Leona: Listen, those guys are clearly fine with playin’ dirty. So I’m just gonna follow their lead and go at this seriously.

Lilia: I’m glad to hear it.

Leona: You guys have to win!

Vil / Kalim / Lilia: Yeah!

Jack: Man, they’re all fired up. They even got me shaking with excitement!

Vil: ……

Jack: Vil Senpai, please give it your best shot!

Vil: Yes, of course I will.

Referee: The final match will now begin. Will the players from both teams please proceed to the arena!

Leona: I decided on the order ya'll are gonna fight in. The guy they’re sending out first moves pretty fast, so I’m gonna have Lilia take him on since he can keep up with his speed. Soon as the match starts, you gotta kick it into high gear.

Lilia: Understood. I’ll be off, then.

Yuu: I’ll do a cheer for you!

Lilia: Excellent. Jack and Grim, you should join in, as well.

Jack: ….Huh? A cheer?

Referee: The first battle of the final match will now begin!

Sunset Team Member A: Let's go!

(Slam! Crash!)

Lilia: My, you’re not bad at all. As expected of an Imperial Guardsman. However, I can’t afford to lose this battle, either. Hmm, perhaps I’ll allow myself to get just a little bit serious for once.

Sunset Team Member A: Wha-…. His speed rivals that of even the Imperial Guard. This is no ordinary man…! J-Just who are you!?

Lilia: Kufufu. Why, I’m simply a member of the Night Raven College Team who came here to enjoy the festival.

Kalim: Lilia and his opponent are both amazing!

Vil: They are. They’re moving so fast my eyes can hardly keep up with them.

Sunset Team Member A: If I’m no match for your speed, then we’ll turn this into a battle of strength, instead! Haaaaa-!

Lilia: Hm? Oh, now he’s rushing at me. It’s time for my Special Lilia Attack!

Sunset Team Member A: Waaaaaah-!!

Kalim: You did it, Lilia!

Vil: There’s one win for us.

Lilia: ….Huh? Oh no!!

(Sparkles flash and the Sunset Team Member starts floating in the air)

Sunset Team Member A: W-What just happened? That guy sent me totally flying but I suddenly stopped midair?

Lilia: Thing is, I put in a wee bit too much strength into my throw and almost sent you crashing into the bleachers.

Sunset Team Member A: Wait a second…. Did you use magic to make me float!?

Lilia: Mm. If any of the audience members ended up getting injured, this whole tournament would be for naught. Festivals are for having fun, after all ♪

Sunset Team Member A: What incredible consideration… You have bested me, both in battle and otherwise. However….

Lilia: What, it was a great match! Kufufu.

Referee: Lilia is disqualified due to a foul! The victory goes to the Sunset Warrior Team!

Vil/ Kalim/ Jack/ Grim: Huh!???

Lilia: What? You have my word, I would never commit a- …Ah! T-That’s right, magic is forbidden in this game!

Leona: Liliaaa….! The hell were you thinkin’!!!

Vil: You really messed up in the endgame. There must’ve been something else you could have done that wouldn’t have required any magic.

Lilia: My apologies…. That was my mistake. I’m so accustomed to magic I used it without a second thought. Oh, how shameful of me…

Kalim: You don’t need to apologize so much, Lilia. I thought you were amazing! You were just trying to protect the audience, so it doesn’t matter how things turned out in the end. You’re a really great Sunset Warrior!

Leona: Yeah, yeah. Your kind words are bringin’ me to tears. C’mon, you need to think about what this means now. If you don’t get at least a draw, Kalim, it’s all over for us.

Kalim: Ah, that’s right.

Grim: …Yikes!! We’re done for!!!!

Lilia: D-Don’t say something like that! It’s bad luck!

Vil: But our chances of winning are slim. That’s just the fact of the matter.

Jack: Leona Senpai, do you have any plans up your sleeve!?

Leona: ….Just one.

Vil: It’s times like these where you actually do look reliable for once. Please give us the details.

Leona: The guy going up next is a huge fan of yours, Vil.

Jack / Lilia/ Vil: Huh?

Leona: That guy’s a prideful Imperial Guardsman. Even if he were to go up against Vil, he probably wouldn’t hold back. However… The more prepared somebody is, the more vulnerable they are to sneak attacks. When the match starts, we’ll have Vil call out to ‘im right before his eyes at the ringside. The moment he gets distracted, that’s when Kalim will come in and push him out the ring…. That’s our only option.

Grim: D-Dang that’s sneaky! Just what you’d expect from Leona!

Vil: I really don’t like getting used like this, but…. If you say it’s our only option….

Leona: Cool. You hear all that, Kalim? We just need ya to…

Kalim: But then we won’t be able to have an honest match, right? Everybody is trying their best here, and for me to be the only one who’ll get extra help like that…

Leona: This is a perfectly good strategy, Kalim. It's fine as long as ya win.

Kalim: But…. Jamil’s somewhere in those stands watching and…. I just want to fight using my own strength is all. Ah, it’s fine! I promise you I won’t lose!

(Kalim runs off to the arena)

Leona: Oi, come back here! …Dammit! He ran off without listenin’ to a word I said!!

Lilia: Hm. Kalim’s penchant for honesty has backfired on us…

Yuu: Try your best!

Leona: The problem here ain’t whether he tries or not!

Vil: ….I wonder if he’ll be able to pull off a draw.

Leona: He ain’t strong, and his battle instincts are crap. Out of the three of ya, he’s the least suited for this game. ….But he threw himself into practice more seriously than anybody else, and he’s definitely improved. The guys he’s going up against is gonna be a tough fight….. But all we can do now is gamble on whatever Kalim can bring to the table.

Jack: Y-Yeah. That’s right. Hard work pays off. I’m sure he’ll be able to figure something out.

Lilia: Honestly, as long as Vil is able to get that guy’s attention, we should be fine! No offense to Kalim.

Leona: Only thing is…

Jack: What now!? Is there something else we gotta worry about!?

Leona: ……..

Episode 5-2

Referee: Will the combatants from both teams please step into the arena!

Kalim: Okay!

Sunset Team Member B: ……..

Kalim: Huh? What’s up?

Sunset Team Member B: ….Heh. We told you guys before, didn’t we? We’ve got a secret weapon. Allow me to play our trump card now. We’ll be winning the tournament with this battle.

Grim / Jack / Vil/ Lilia: What did he just say!??

Leona: Tsch…. This is exactly what I was worryin’ about! I was gonna tell Kalim there’s no way those guys wouldn’t try an’ decide the tournament here and now, but…

Grim: Our odds weren’t looking good in the first place, and now they’re bringing out their secret weapon… Our goose is officially cooked!!!

Vil: It’s all over….!

Lilia: Leona…. Perhaps now would be a good time to contact the principal and ask him for permission to extend your stay here.

Leona: Shut up! I don’t care what anybody says, I ain’t doin’ the damn “Lessons of the Guardian”!

Sunset Team Member B: Take it away, Senpai!

Large man: Hell yeah! Gahahahah! It’s finally my turn!

Grim: Woah, that guy’s huge! And he looks super strong!

Vil: That man…. I’ve seen him somewhere before.

Kalim: Huh? You’re…

Large Man: Whazzat? Aah! It’s Kalim-sama!!!

Kalim: So it is you! You’re the bus driver from yesterday!

Large Man: Thanks to your help, Kalim-sama, I got a new bus and was able to get through work today without any issues. Now my family will be able to get along just fine…. Please, allow me to thank you again! You really are my family’s lifesaver, Kalim-sama!

Referee: B-Both of you, stop the chit-chatting! Let the battle begin!

Kalim: Oh, yeah. That’s right. We’re supposed to be playing Catch the Tail right now.

Large Man: Wait…. I’m going up against Kalim-sama?

Sunset Team Member B: Senpai! Don’t kick his butt too badly!

Large Man: ……I can’t do this. I owe him my life, I can’t just go fight him… This young man is the kindest and strongest person I’ve ever met. I can’t beat him! I give up!

NRC Students: HUUUH!?

Sunset Team Members: WHAAAAT!??

Referee: Y-You give up…. Okay, your forfeit is recognized! The victory goes to Kalim!

Kalim: Huh? Did I win? Hey, everybody! I did it! I won!!

NRC Students: ………

Grim: What… just happened?

Jack: Looks like he… won.

Vil: I can’t believe this….. Kalim seriously won against a guy like that….

Lilia: Huh….. Showing someone kindness and not expecting anything in return, that’s something not everyone can do. To think, you could defeat someone with kindness. It’s precisely because Kalim is he who is that he was able to seize this victory.

Grim: Nyahaha! That’s awesome, Kalim!

Leona: Heh heh…. Ahahahah!! Even with all my planning, I never coulda imagined he’d win the match like this. I was thinkin’ he was just a pawn, even lower than a minor piece. I can’t believe he scored a win for us in the finals. If you’re able to get your pawn to the edge of the board, you can raise its status to that of another piece…. It’s called promotion. So I guess Kalim really was a pawn after all.

Kalim: Hey, I’m back! I don’t really know what happened back there, but I’m really glad I won. Huh? Leona, you look super happy right now. I’m happy, too!

Leona: Yeah, of course I am. Nice work, Kalim. …Hey, check out Kifaji over there. His face is all scrunched up like he’s been suckin’ on bunch of lemons or something. …Man, this is great. Yuu, did ya get a picture of Kifaji’s face? I want it for later, so you better not let this opportunity pass ya by.

Vil: If Kifaji-san could see how you’re acting right now you’d be totally grating his poor nerves.

Leona: And all that’s left is the final battle…

Referee: The final battle will now begin. Will the combatant from the Sunset Warrior Team please enter the arena!

Sunset Team Member C: I’m here!

Referee: And will the combatant from the Night Raven College Team please enter the arena!

Vil: ….Looks like it’s time. I’ll be going now.

Leona: Hold it. Your left foot is hurtin’ ya, ain’t it?

Vil: !!

Kalim: What!? Is that true, Vil!?

Jack: It doesn’t look like it, but…?

Vil: I was wondering what you wanted….  Could you not with the jokes? You’re bringing everybody down.

Leona: Stop tryin’ to hide it. Knowing you, you shoulda breezed through the second round a lot easier than ya did.

Vil: What? Are trying to imitate Rook or something? You’re really not funny.

Leona: During your fight, when you were up there on the arena in front of everybody, you couldn’t tell at all that you were walkin’ around with an injury. Which isn’t surprising, knowing you. But when Lilia and Kalim were taking their turns, now and then you kept reaching down and touchin’ your foot like it was botherin’ ya.

Vil: ……I can’t believe you saw through me. Looks like my acting skills still have a ways to go.

Leona: You got hurt when that guy kicked in you the first round, huh.

Kalim: Wait, so that means Vil’s just been pretending like he was okay this whole time!?

Lilia: What impeccable willpower….

Jack: Please let me take a look! ….Shit… Your ankle’s totally swollen…!

Leona: There’s no way you can fight against that guy now. I’m benching you.

Vil: Don’t be ridiculous. If I sit this out, we’ll lose by default. And with two losses, that’ll be game over for our team. Just who do you take me for? I have no intention of giving up on winning. Hell, I’d rather go out there and fight them with a broken leg then just sit around and give them the win.

Leona: Who said anything about givin’ up? Calm down. I don’t intend to tuck my tail between my legs, either.

Vil: ….What do you mean?

Leona: ……

Episode 5-3

Cheka: Huh? It’s raining, Kifaji.

Kifaji: Indeed. This is certainly a blessed rain for our peoples… However, for it to rain just before the start of this decisive battle…. There’s somewhat of an unsettling air about.

Sunset Team Member C: …. Vil Schoenheit! How long do you intend to keep me waiting!?

Referee: It is time for the battle to begin. Due to the absence of their combatant, Night Raven College Team loses by default, and Sunset Team is the-

???: Wait!

Sunset Team Member C: !?

Masked Man: Sorry I kept ya waitin’. I’m the combatant from Night Raven College Team.

Sunset Team Member A / B: What!?

Cheka / Kifaji: !?

Kifaji: Judging by that man’s height, physique, and gait…. I-It can’t be! (It’s L-Lord Leona!?)

Sunset Team Member C: What is the meaning of this!? The only remaining combatant on your team is Vil Schoenheit!

Masked Man: I’m a substitute player. Same as when you swapped in that guy for the last battle. Don’t see why you got a problem with it?

Sunset Team Player C: But players who aren’t registered before the start of the tournament are not permitted to compete! Who in the world are you!?

Masked Man: My name is….

Yuu: Why is he staring at me…

Masked Man: Yuu.

NRC Students: Huh!

Yuu: Erm, that's…

Lilia: W-Wait just a moment, Yuu. We mustn’t let the cat out of the bag!

Vil: We’ll all be in hot water if Leona gets found out. He isn’t allowed to compete, so we’d get disqualified on the spot.

Sunset Team Member C: I don’t recall anyone of that name registering for the tournament! This is a violation of the rules!

Masked Man: Huh, that’s weird. Why don’t ya try askin’ Chamberlain Kifaji about it.

Kifaji: ………..W-Why, if it isn’t Master Yuu!

Referee: Do you know him, Chamberlain Kifaji?

Kifaji: He’s a student from Night Raven College, and I personally received his application. I apologize for failing to disclose this information to the referees. That was a regrettable blunder on my part.

Cheka: Hey, Kifaji. Isn’t that Ojitan?

Kifaji: Y-You’re mistaken, Lord Cheka! That is Master Yuu!

Cheka: What? No way! That’s Ojitan! I’m a jillion percent sure!

Kifaji: N-No, that is without a doubt Master Yuu!

Kifaji (whispering): …Listen to me, Lord Cheka. Lord Leona is not permitted to partake in the tournament. His team should have been disqualified the moment he stepped foot in that arena.

Cheka: ?

Kifaji (whispering): However…. We’re in the midst of the decisive match of the tournament finals. If the Secondborn Prince of Sunset Savannah were to break the rules in this crucial moment, it would bring shame upon the entire royal family.

Cheka: ??

Kifaji (whispering): Further, we’ve many guests here invited from countries all over the world, and we cannot permit a scandal of this proportion to occur before their very eyes.

Cheka: ???

Kifaji: (whispering): In order to preserve the dignity of our country, that masked man must not be Lord Leona.

Cheka: Uhh? I don’t really get it. Anyways, good luck! Yuu Ojitan!

Kifaji: Doubtless Lord Leona must have calculated that I’d make such a call. To think he’d force me to cover for him like this… Curse you, my Lord…! …However, whether or not he’s going to be able to win this thing depends entirely upon his own strength. Well then… Show me just how strong you are!

Masked Man: Heh. I knew Kifaji’d cover for me. Anybody with a single braincell coulda predicted he’d try an’ save face. Well, he is helpin’ me out here. Guess I should be at least somewhat thankful. ‘Kay, Ref. So now we’re all good to go now, right?

Referee: Understood. Let the final battle begin!

Audience: Woohooo! Hooray!

Sunset Team Member C: ….Fine. It doesn’t matter who you are. I’m going to crush you, so we can finally have Lord Leona teach us the “Lessons of the Guardian”!

Masked Man: And I’m gonna throttle you so bad that thought’ll never cross your mind again. Be prepared!

Episode 5-4

Sunset Team Member C: N-No way……. I'm… I'm supposed to be the best Catch the Tail player in the entire Imperial Guard! And yet he’s bested me in power, speed, and technique! How could this be!

Masked Man: Checkmate!

Sunset Team Member C: Dammit! He took my beads!

Referee: That’s enough! Yuu is the victor, and Night Raven College Team has won the tournament!

Cheka: He did it, he did it! Yaay!! Didja see that, Kifaji!? Ojitan really is amazing, huh!!

Kifaji: Indeed. “Yuu Ojitan” is simply magnificent! What overwhelming power… As expected of you, Lord Leona…. Ever since you were very little, you’ve never stopped astounding me. I do ever so look forward to the future of this country.

Masked Man: Pfew….. You really made me work for that.

Sunset Team Member C: *sob* …..And this was the year we were finally going to have Lord Leona teach us the “Lessons of the Guardian”…!

Masked Man: ….Oi. Listen to me, all of you. I got a message for ya from Lord Leona himself. He says he absolutely ain’t gonna do the damn lessons. True warriors don’t need to rely on something like the teachings of others. You gotta march forward usin’ your own strength… Is what he says.

Sunset Team Member C: Huh? ……..Wait! A-Are you! …No wonder…. That power…. Heh. We might’ve lost the tournament, but I feel were able to complete the lessons after all. I haven’t any regrets.

(Behind the arena)

Lilia: Ah, Yuu has returned. You were splendid!

Leona: Hmph. I’m Leona Kingscholar. No clue what you’re talkin’ about.

Yuu: I wasn’t expecting you to use my name like that.

Leona: Well, it’s not like I coulda used Jack’s name. He already registered for the tournament, and the judges might’ve recognized his face. And Grim’s a blabbermouth, so he probably woulda jumped up an' introduced himself right on the spot. I figured picking your name was the safest bet.

Kalim: Leona, you were so awesome! We won the tournament and everybody’s having so much fun. You couldn’t ask for a better festival. Hey, do you guys think Jamil’s gonna be glad?!

Leona: …Uh-huh. I bet he’s absolutely delighted.

Jack: He’s probably super pissed off right now…

Vil: *Sigh* You totally stole the show, Leona. Don’t you think that’s a bit unfair?

Leona: Hey, I just wanted to make sure ya’ll herbivores understood the difference between you an’ me. And now it’s raining cats and dogs. Bet all the citizens are gonna be out celebratin’. Guess you could say… Tamashina-Mina was a huge success.

Vil: I hate to kill the good mood, but… There seems to be quite a fuss going on now that everyone’s noticed the Secondborn prince is missing.

Tournament Staff: Lord Leona is gone!? Where did he go? Everyone, search for him at once!

Leona: Tsch…. They’re so annoying. I gotta sneak back to my seat before more people start lookin’ for me.

Cheka: Ojitaaan! Congrats on winning!

Leona: Ack- is that Cheka!?

Lilia: Your little nephew’s racing over here as we speak.

Kifaji: Lord Cheka! You mustn’t run that fast!

Imperial Guard A / B: Please, wait!

Leona: Shit…. Now everybody and their grandma’s comin’ this way. If people start talkin’ somebody might let slip I was the one up there… And then our win’s gonna get nixed. I gotta get outta here fast.

Kalim: Huh? But aren’t we supposed to go do the victory parade now?

Leona: No way in hell I’m gonna do something as stupid as that. I’m gonna take the car and ditch. See ya.

(Leona runs off)

Kalim:  Ah! Leona, wait! I’m sure they’ll all understand if we just talk things out?

(Kalim runs after Leona)

Vil: And there goes Kalim.

Lilia: I’ll go join them ♪ It wouldn’t be much of a victory parade without those two.

Vil: When you put it like that, I think I’ll come along as well. I’m not so boorish as to do a curtain call without the lead actor.

Leona: Do what you want. If you’re comin’ along, then hurry up and get in the car already!

Jack: P-Please wait, Leona Senpai! ….Aaand they're gone.

Grim: They left us behind!!

Yuu: A befitting end for the Night Raven College Team.

Jack: …You got a point. Guess it’s not a bad way to end things after all.

Kalim: Ahaha! This totally isn’t what I had in mind for the victory parade! Tamashina-Mina was so much fun!

Lilia: Indeed. What a truly enjoyable trip this turned out to be ♪ This will be a memory we’ll hold onto for the rest of our lives…. This one last road trip, included.

Vil: We put in all that work to nab that beautiful victory, but I guess we can't just end things cleanly, huh.

Leona: Could you guys shut up already? You're gonna catch flies if you keep on yammering. Let’s go. It’s time to say goodbye to this boring old festival!
