but it takes like hair right?

question: is momo able to create stuff through her head and pass through her hair??

I mean unless there's some complex thing they do and it works anyway but like.. While Mirio's quirk works on his hair, we've never seen Momo do anything with the head (then again it's likely she never thought of it? It's not a very common thought process, I only have this because of the repeated use of dna-infused costumes)

does it actually even work?? i mean i assume you can use other methods to infuse dna into stuff- i think we leave skin cells by touching stuff or whatever, or maybe its more specific but i assume we could do that, or something with the blood and figure out how her quirk works on that level and see if it would be able to go through that

also on a more morbid line of questioning: do you think if the skin was burnt or whatever she could still form stuff through it? i've seen this one fic where the lov fuckin dumped her in acid to prevent her from using her quirk and i find that.. kinda fascinating but unsure if it would actually work because i dont understand science stuff

Slytherins & Prejudice (Tangent/Rant)

I’m gonna be honest here. I think Slytherins tend to be misunderstood. Well technically we see the more ‘darker’ side in the books, and that’s partly because Harry ended up as a Gryffindor instead, so we never really got to fully see what it was like.

Maybe I’ve just been reading too much fanfiction, but I think we’ve all been there once or twice. I recall when first reading the books that I didn’t really like Slytherin. Of course, this was due to Draco Malfoy’s entrance, and the prejudice against the actual house.

Funny thing, I actually took the house quiz back then on the website and got Slytherin. I couldn’t believe it, how could I be a part of the evil house? Wouldn’t I be better in Ravenclaw? The second time I took it, I became a Ravenclaw, but that isn’t the point. It isn’t, because the cast only get sorted once, and that meant that technically only my first one counted. Slytherin.

I’d imagine you probably know it by now as we’ve all grown. Slytherins are ambitious people, with big dreams and the desire to pursue it. Not necessarily a bad thing. For me, my interests lie in a thirst of knowledge, and trying to be the best. Well that’s kind of weak, but what do you expect of a kid?

But the point is, technically, all houses have bad counterparts to them. Bravery can just as easily be dumb recklessness. Loyalty can just as easily be blind devotion. Ambition can lead to greed. Intelligence can lead to arrogance.

Honestly this is the kind of thing you learn when you grow up. That you realize that they’re just kids, and probably repeating what their parents told them (god knows I have), and wouldn’t know right from wrong. It doesn’t help either that they kind of become seen as ‘antagonists’ (is it wrong that I can see Ron being angry at Harry for either being sorted or almost sorted into Slytherin? If I recall correctly, he was also angry at Harry for ‘joining’ the TriWizard Tournament thing despite how Harry kept trying to tell him that he didn’t even want to. You see my point?).

Now, I can’t actually remember that time they were polyjuiced and went into the Slytherin dormitory, but I’m gonna be honest here. Fanfiction. I can’t even say that some of them don’t bring up good points about Slytherins being prejudiced against for their parents actions, or just because they’re in that house that people jump to conclusions and hate them regardless of what they try to do. Literally there are so many moments in the actual book series of the students hating on Harry and jumping to conclusions (wasn’t there the Parselmouth thing where they accused him of setting the snake onto this one guy- not to mention I’m pretty sure they thought he might’ve been the heir of Slytherin, even if he wasn’t in the actual house itself). I think that speaks enough of how the students think of him, and it’d likely only be worse for Slytherins.

Not that some of it isn’t deserved, but okay, look at Andromeda Tonks. She was a Slytherin, and technically was disowned due to marrying a muggle-born. And maybe that doesn’t exactly prove my point, but hey, Merlin’s apparently a Slytherin too. There can be good ones, the house doesn’t just provide Death Eaters and whatnot!

My point is.. Slytherins aren’t all that bad and I kinda think they deserved better, but what can you do when a Dark Lord who comes from Slytherin spouts blood-purist shit and was so infamous that everyone knew who he was, and seemed to mainly only attract other Slytherins to serve him??

Anyway, I’m kind of biased, I have a love for Slytherin Harry, blah blah blah. Also fuck J.K. Rowling (because someone will probably read this and think I support her just because I like her books, haha she’s never gotten my money, I read from school libraries.), we don’t support her in this household, I just like reading the fanfiction.

okay so just because i started a multi-chapter fic that i actually wanted to finish the next thing i know i have so many documents open with multi-chapter stories and im repeating a mistake i made that ended up with a lotta discontinued fics

instead of being kicked out of the dorms because of outing the guy at the police academy for like cheating on his s/o or whatever, he reluctantly continues and becomes a detective. the youngest ever, and the one who has ended up solving the most cold cases ever.

he becomes tsukauchis problem he is also quirkless. he was never told that he had an ability by fukuzawa-dono. but he is insanely smart, even more then nezu

hes taught by the law enforcement there that not everyone knows what he does, so its important to point things out

ranpo doesnt have much skill in protecting himself, but his knowledge lets him predict some things, as a faux foresight. he gets bested by a new organization (The LOV? except they have more power, and recruit Mushiro Fushiguro or whats its name, the guy with the Perfect Crime ability. Ranpo got involved in the investigation against the LOV. Someone is killed as a threat, and right before his eyes all the evidence is gone, and he has that feeling that something is missing. ..Ah. It's threatening him not to go any further. He does.), and tsukauchi gets hurt, therefore the police department is deemed too risky and is moved to the custody of one Aizawa Shouta. (ofc, erasermic, and shinsou is there) He ends up shadowing Aizawa at his job, having already graduated, and technically class a's senpai.

on the meanwhile, the investigation team collaborates with the Armed Detective Agency from Yokohama, noting the existence of an Ability User they had been chasing down, having been able to figure out that the murder of a certain Mystery novel writer had been in close-ish contact with a man with an ability. 'Perfect Crime'.

like lady nagant, the guy fuckin DIES after they find him and have an encounter and ends up regretting it (because of course ranpo figures it out) but not after giving a very ominous message

they go to the summer camp, ranpo as an honorary member, and trusting in his teammates, gets kidnapped instead in place of bakugo.

afo is interested in the self-proclaimed greatest detective, the youngest one in fact. ranpo feels threatened. he wants him. needs those strategic smarts, but knows that Ranpo would never. Instead, he would make it so Ranpo could never help the other side. He shatters him. for once, his intuition fails him. his teammates are too late.

He was scared. (this is what he gets for being reckless all the time. almost suicidal with how much trust he puts in his colleagues to make it in time.)

think of yosano after she exploded the thing and was all depressed and unreacting.

before this, he meets shinsou at aizawa's place. he bluntly questions why shinsou hasnt used his mindreading. shinsou: what?? aizawa: what have i told you about people not understanding some things? stop being so blunt. ranpo: blink blink oh. Hey Shinsou, did you know that logically you should be able to mind read someone while you're brainwashing them- well actually, its more like you're putting them to sleep, but in a state of sleepwalking, y'know? so their mind is still kinda active and registering things that they're seeing in dreams, and you can interact with them that way and their mind would be much easier to see and read because you're kind of.. in their brain? shinsou: … I CAN DO WHAT NOW? aizawa: ..Ranpo.

shinsou reaches out to ranpo. his eyes stay in their shattered shape but he can see after hes free.

ranpo learns to be less hesitant, but is still paranoid.
