wearing clothing that had been given to him by some over eager, over zealous sheep at the group home that seemed hells bent on making sure raen felt comfortable in his new home and time, the merman pulled his hair back into a messy bun and let out a sigh as he settled into place at the bar. if he was going to be forced to be around all these people he didn't know, or care to know, he was going-- at least-- need a drink.

thankfully he didn't have to say much, the bartender understood what he needed simply from the way the mer glared at him, and within a few seconds a pint of beer was set into place before him. followed by another; and another; and another. each pint he drank helped him relax, to a degree, but it wasn't enough to make him personable.

narrowing his eyes, his patience wearing thin, he waved his hand at the bartender for another pint as some random townie rambled at him from the seat next to him; flirting with him, trying to make small talk, annoying him.

"ᚷᛟᛞᛊ, ᛞᛟ ᛇᚡᛖᚱ ᛋᚺᚢᛏ ᚢᛈ?*" he grumbled under his breath as he turned to look at the stranger beside him. "ᛁᛋ ᚦᚨᛏ ᚹᚨᛁ ᚢᛟ ᚨᚱᛖ ᚦᚱᛟᚹᛖᚱ ᛋᛖᛚᚠ ᚨᛏ ᛗᛖ? ᛃᛟᚢ ᚾᛖᛖᛞ ᛋᛟᚹᛗᛖᚦᛁᚾᚷ ᛏᛟ ᛟᚲᚇᚨᛈᛁ ᛏᚺᚨᛏ ᛞᚨᛗᚾᛖᛞ ᛗᚨᚢᛏᚺ ᛟᚠ ᛃᛟᚢᚱᛋ?**"

though he wasn't going to admit it out loud, even he was a bit impressed with how far new haven had gone to make sure every species that found themselves living stuck there was comfortable. rising out of the salt water lake, which really was a marvel, he began to wrap a towel around himself since he was in public and, according to some of the people around the group home that complained when he walked around naked, modesty was best and errant smirk began to form on the usually crabby merman's lips as he saw him approaching.

again, he wouldn't dare to claim he had made any friends here in new haven but out of everyone he had bumped into so far øyvindullr was certainly the most tolerable. he respected the other; considered him an equal. gods forbid, he might even go as far as admitting he liked having the other around.

"ᚨᚱᛖ ᚤᛟᚢ ᚠᛟᛚᛚᛟᚹᛁᚾᚷ ᛗᛖ?*" he questioned, his tone teasing as he finished tying the towel around his waist with a knot. "can you not... sleep?" raen added on as he turned to face the other fully.

"let... me guess..." stepping forward, his eyes dropped to look the other over as that smirk managed to linger on his features. "ᚤᛟᚢ ᚨᚱᛖ ᛟᚢᛏ ᛚᛟᛟᚴᛁᚾᚷ ᚠᛟᚱ ᚨᚾ ᛟᛗᛖᚷᚨ ᛏᛟ ᛒᚢᚱᚤ ᚤᛟᚢᚱ ᚴᚾᛟᛏ ᛁᚾᛏᛟ ᚠᛟᚱ ᛏᚺᛖ ᚾᛁᚷᚺᛏ ᚨᚾᛞ ᚤᛖᛏ ᚤᛟᚢ ᚠᛟᚢᚾᛞ ᛗᛖ. ᛁ ᚨᛗ ᚾᛟ ᛟᛗᛖᚷᚨ.**" though that wasn't him saying no.

he had never considered himself to be prudish but the way bronston was speaking so plainly, and so openly, about such an intimate subject had the fairy blushing quite a bit as he listened; especially as the man leaned in to take another sniff at him. "i-- am honestly unsure of what to say to that." he answered slow, his voice and words almost hesitant. "thank you," cj added on as he considered everything the professor had just said about him should be taken as a compliment.

"since you think the study would be incomplete without me, what times are you available for me to come in for the... application. i am assume we would need to head to your office, or whatever facility you are using for this study?" the fairy questioned. "surely you aren't running this study out here on the street..."

Bronston was aware that breeding with vampires, at least for him, was completely out of the question. He may have had a rainbow smattering of the various species in New Haven when he gathered his many adult children for family dinners, but no vampires among their ranks. Still, even though he'd never carry a cute little fang baby in his womb, Bronston knew they tasted as good as anyone.

"Oh yes, sniffing you out was just the first step. I trust my nose, and it's telling me that the study would be incomplete without you included in the sample pool," he says, leaning in closer as if to confirm his findings. He really just wanted to take another deep whiff. Younger men were delectable to a silver fox like him. "Yep. You meet all the criteria. Young, virile, slick as sweet as any fairy's with cum to match I'm sure. All I would need else for your application are a few samples. I'd collect them myself, of course."

the space he had in the group home was cramped but it was his. despite his usual preference for being in this space alone, through broken english, and the influence of alcohol, the merman managed to bring someone back with him; to lure someone in, if you will.

his shirt already discarded to the floor, his pants unfasten and hanging loose on his hips, the alpha's breath grew heavy as the younger, prettier creature's hands pressed against his body; rubbing and brushing over the indentations of his muscles as if he were mapping them out; learning each dip and valley. his own right hand went to the smaller's neck, gripping onto him without choking him, before shifting to sit heavy on his shoulder.

"ᛇᚢ ᚨᚱᛖ ᚹᚨᛋᛏᛁᚾᚷ ᛏᛁᛗᛖ ᛚᛁᛏᛚᛖ ᚩᚾᛖ*." the merman mumbled before adding on in english. "get... down."
