Fun fact! I.. don't actually know how my accent sounds. Thing is, I live in the UK but my parents' accents are essentially opposite ends of the "stereotypical British" spectrum. My ma has that posh, somewhat London Victorian upper class accent that you'd expect out of a Shakespeare play. My dad, on the other hand, is basically a typical Bri'ish geezer.

I have an amalgamation of their accents, but if that wasn't COMPLICATED ENOUGH! My ma's side of the family are from Dublin. Her accent isn't particularly noticable, except when she says certain words ("film" being one of them, she says it sorta like "fil-um"). Mine, on the other hand, is definitely more pronounced, but only really if you know me/point it out/pay close attention. @kasaeatsbugs didn't actually notice until I pointed it out once, but I have that sorta.. hook to the ends of ER, IR, and RE words that the Irish accent has, as well as a few other quirks.

Another fun thing that happened once was that I joined a Discord server and hopped on a VC with some other members. THE ONLY OTHER BRITISH PERSON IN THE SERVER ASKED ME WHERE I WAS FROM because, and I quote: "I can't tell if you're British, Welsh, or Canadian putting on a bad Scottish accent. I've genuinely never heard an accent like that in my life and I'm not fully convinced you're British."

So yeah! TL;DR: my accent is a mix of Irish, British Geezer™, and London Victorian orphan boy, but is also apparently so confusing that other Brits can't discern where I'm from.

All ten MCC Season 4 Kick Off teams!

So art block reclaimed me for another few months BUT knock on wood I think it's subsiding. I started a new brainrot page too :)

Hopefully I can get around to doing some of the drawings I said I was gonna do (pokemon teams, fanart, etc) IF GCSEs don't get in the way or if art block doesn't decide to fuck me over again. For now, have a snippet of the freshly started brainrot page :D (feels refreshing to draw in my sketchbook again, last time I added any art to it was January 18th..)

So we're back from a BBQ we had at my sister's new house and I just wanna share something that happened whilst we were there because it absolutely sent me.

So my niece and parents were in the garden and my niece found a bee near the flower patch. She called my ma over to see, and as she's walking over... Squish. She stepped on the bee.

Cue the next 10 minutes of my ma being yelled at by this tiny 3 year old girl, I was at the dining table just crying laughing watching the scene unfold as all I could hear was "IT'S GOT NO HEAD!! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS NANNY!? IT'S WOUNDED! YOU DID THIS!" before she suddenly ran into her bedroom and came out not 2 seconds later with a plastic stethoscope in order to resuscitate this dead bee to no avail. She then took back the flower that she had given my ma roughly 20 minutes beforehand, placed it on top of the bee, stared my ma dead in the eyes and went "It's been put to rest." Before running up to me with tears in her eyes and giving me a hug.

I fucking love this kid.
