Wine, women, and song. Art, beauty, and life. Liberty, ecstasy, and recipes for really tasty drinks. Women may be naked, beauty may be subjective, and ecstasy is not a chemical. Eleleu! Iou! Iou!

Dionysus! Mad and foreign born! On bulls foot You come From wilderness and wanderings In Your manic pilgrim roamings You saw that not by bread alone can the human heart be filled And as we yearned for fullness You gifted us the vine
that unmakes our thoughts conquers fear and heals pains and ends our restlessness but Oh! by Your spirits maddened scheming, though hearts and guts are full to bursting there is always room to spare!
i raise another glass in Your name! There is always room to spare!

I like that. It's always good to know which godmasks you work best with, most comfortably. Though sometimes, especially with certain deities and archetypes, leaving the comfort zone is occasionally necessary as well. =)
And Gin, my humble thoughts, if you don't mind too much...
In no particular order:
I agree whole-heartedly with 4, but with an asterisk -- the divinity behind the godmask is bigger than our comprehension, but the godmask must by definition be largely within our comprehension, that is the purpose it serves.
It seems to me that by saying 1, you became guilty of 3.
I like and agree with the intention of 3, but... We CANNOT trap Him. Cutting ourselves off from Him is more likely, but even that, I think not (ask Pentheus about that).
And as for 1, my first trivial response is "Says who?" Though ultimately I wouldn't really argue that point -- largely because, when it comes down to it, applying sexual orientation to a deity just seems, well, silly, trite, petty, and just plain missing the larger context of the things of which we speak. Like saying that Apollo is a Republican, or that Shiva prefers Star Trek to Star Wars.
Just my thoughts and reactions, though. Of course.
