As Promised In Jon's Variant, Here Is My Experiment Into Drawing Somewhere Else (In Space) AU In @candlecoo-sideb-art's

As promised in Jon's variant, here is my experiment into drawing Somewhere Else (In Space) AU in @candlecoo-sideb-art's art style! As stated in Jon's art, I felt kinda bad that I didn't choose to follow through in full-on emulating candlecoo's art style for their own characters. Felt a bit like I was losing the original feel of the characters too, so I would not let that stand. (Also, I needed an excuse to practice for my upcoming no-drawing-outlines assignment in my Animation degree.) I'm debating on which Craniopagus character to tackle next, but I'm thinking I wanna switch it up and draw someone I haven't done any art of yet. Perhaps Ivy? She has multiple eyes, so it would be fun! The resident Eye Lady makes no clear promises on swift returns but will try!

Here we go with a bit of an experiment, utilizing the Martin of @candlecoo-sideb-art's Somewhere Else (In Space) AU!

This one was a bit tricky, since I have been deliberately avoiding giving characters glasses due to their eye profiles being the more important part of the equation. Yet, stubborness is annoying, so I tried a version with glasses and... I don't know, felt like I overdid it tbh.

The idea of Martin being the defender of the duo and hyper enhanced by the nature of The Lonely's growth was too good, I love it. Martin should be allowed to go Kill Bill and we are in no position to stop him. Would be kinda funny if he got to dual-wield powers from both The Lonely and The Slaughter... but I think that idea is a bit too logistically odd so I'll just save it for my own AU.

Anyway, now this is posted, it's back to the Redeath/Search Through the Stars to tackle a few of the ocs. If you've read the fic (please do btw), you can take a few guesses who is next :3

A cute render I created in commemoration of the release of Rainimator's "The Brave" last December (2023).

The idea behind them is sadly now an AU; Sora was able to escape the Battle of the Gateways alongside Elise, landing in the End Witch Coven. They hope to warn the Southern Kingdoms of Void Lord Lance's movements, but Elise is worried on the cost of their future actions... and what Lance will do to retaliate.

I'm half-tempted to make an AU work on Archive of Our Own when I get my invite for it, so if you want that, idk comment or smth your interest.

Bonus Round! Yog-Sothoth Residue Martin! I tried to capture the guttural fear that he would be inflicted with in the nightmares he has, but it's a bit hard to do so when the eyebrows can't properly join the frame lmao. The depiction of the swirl written in @therealandian's ReDeath / Search Through The Stars AU was sorta described as (from rough memory) "greenish oranges and yellowed purples" or something of that sort, but I wanted to add blue as a way to show that Martin did regain his sense of self in the aftermath, and now fights to keep that identity in a way. Sure, it's hard, and he put himself back in the Institute's clutches to do it, but he's trying and we love him for that. It was quite fun to experiment with this, kinda half tempted to chuck one of my own AUs ocs into Yog-Sothoth for funsies (I wouldn't, its a funny idea tho). Tomorrow's releases are gonna be a bit more... interesting~. Have fun guessing who is next >:3!

We're back in @therealandian's ReDeath / Search Through The Stars AU! The OC I've chosen to do for this is Donovan, resident cool guy of Aldara, father of four and husband of a certain redeemed Mechanism! Thanks to Andian themselves for clearing up a few details on eyes and just them in general, they suggested smile wrinkles and freckles and I just dove straight in! I gotta admit I struggled a bit with the wrinkles and definitely need to work on it, but for a first attempt they're okay ^^;;. Eye shape too was a bit of a doozy for me; I was trying to do one of those smiley eyes but I struggle with them if they're not... an animation rig. Donovan is probably one of the two OCs I really loved from Search Through the Stars, alongside his daughter Evan (who I would join the antics of in a heartbeat)! I love how supportive and understanding he is of the situations of Jon and Elias, and just the fact he's a good husband and father overall. If he was real, I'd so want to be his friend... and Karliah's (his wife), she's bloody cool in her own right too. Actually just let me be friends with that whole famil- I might scale back how many character arts I post in a day just due to the fact my uni schedule is rapidly picking up the pace, but rest assured, more arts (and maybe some renders) are soon to come! Our next Eye-focused art will feature a very certain Captain, so stay tuned~

Sorry for Missed Eye Day

I was in a gripping irl game of Among Us in my uni group, and it took 3 weeks for them to figure out I'm an animation student and not a film student 💀

On the upside I know how to work the little sound machine now so yippee I'm not useless 🎉
