Resident Lover Routes Ranked

As tradition when good things end, we overfixate on it! After 48 hours of completing all routes in Resident Lover, here's my spoiler free ranking of the good and bad endings in the game brought to us by Team AVIA 🙇🖤

Top Romantic Endings (Good ending)

#1 Miranda

As recommended by Team AVIA this route should be played last after completing all the other routes, and istg this was the best approach to the game, there's so much stuff going on (in a great way), it ties up all stories together, it explains the biggest mystery in the game and the end was SO SATISFYING. Mother Miranda was MOTHERING so good and I'm definitely obsessed with MM now. There's so much I want to talk about but won't for now to keep this spoiler free.Best route ever hope you enjoy it! 🐦‍⬛🧎

(UPDATED REVIEW: As MCs we can't escape her fr fr. You should see all cult endings in all routes before going to her cult ending. She's unbelievable but it's so hard to hate her once you get into her route and I can't explain why I still love her but holy fuck, Miranda. You make Joe Goldberg and Love Quinn look like novices for the things they do for love. Miranda literally took Yandere to a whole new level...and I love it 👀)

#2 Donna's Route (UPDATED)

We get our Flourist AU with our resident spicy sweetheart (you'd understand the spicy part later) Donna! Everything from her route was so mysterious and selecting her route before getting to Miranda's route was such a good build up before getting the answers to the numerous mysteries you'll uncover in the other routes. Donna and Miranda's route has SOOOO MUCH to bring into the table about the main mystery in the game. Plus the rivalry between Donna and Miranda for MC??? IM DEAD 😭💖

(UPDATED REVIEW: Holy shit y'all I just recently uncovered the actual cult ending for Donna's route, and as sweet and passionate her love is for us - the neutral ending was really sad, but holy fuck the double tragic endings in the cult version was just..I can't even react properly after finishing it I'm forever traumatized - see cult ending ranking)

#3 Alcina's Route

If you're into student-teacher relationship with much more murder mystery from the game and of course our Mother Alcina herself, this is for you! For all Alcina fans, buckle up for a ride because this route does not pussy-foot around romance between Alcina and player and my god THE SEXUAL TENSION. ILLICIT ROMANCE. SHEESH. Y'all are going to love it so much istg. Even the counterpart ending ate up (see tragic ending below)

TOP Tragic Ending (Cult endings)

#1 Angie and Donna's Route

Angie

Y'all would not expect the darkest ending for the sweetest character with the most lighthearted romance development of all routes. It starts off really innocent and sweet before it all goes downhill so fast, and Donna was so terrifying in this route 😭 Both bad endings were absolutely devastating and I really want to find out how Angie will react once she finds out - or if she will.

Donna (Updated review)

How was it even possible that Donna was so loveable and so terrifying at the same time? Everything from her good to bad route was just *chefs kiss*. Follow Team AVIAs guide to routes, and reach the cult ending (with additional 2 tragedy scenarios) I guarantee you both tragic scenarios will leave you terrified and heartbroken.

#2 Alcina

As amazing as the romance is with Alcina the bad ending route was downright nightmare-ish! We all love our hot psychopath mother but y'all would be baffled at just how CRAZYYYYY she is when you find out in her tragic ending route ☠️

#3 Dimitrescu Sisters

The Dimitrescu siblings SERVED in all routes Bela most of all but gaddamn as amazing and complex our relationship with them are, the tragic endings are INSANEEE. Bella's outfits were AMAZING and her storyline even more so. Cassandra is such a cassanova and a diva (so much teenage drama here btw you'll love it). And our precious Dani bby girl with our fake dating thing, she deserves so much love I wanna give her a hug. Their tragic endings are so so so sad, all I can say is Miranda did them so dirty 😭😭😭

Overall the game was AMAZING in every way, Team AVIA really put there heart and soul to this and it really shows, so please take the time to drop by at their page @resident-lover , give them your love and appreciation, and enjoy the game!

Katie Williams, the most popular girl in school. Stereotypically pretty with brunette hair, rich ebony skin, and of course, the cheerleader captain of you college. Regardless of what major you take, everyone has heard of Katie Williams and her sorority parties and cheerleading skills. Not to mention the piling number of admirers she has.

Yet, the only person she admired was you. The Hopeless Nerd who was a fellow student in one of her elective courses.

The first time she saw you, you were unassuming, the type of person she would have talked about behind your back but when you offered to share notes with her; without anything in return other than a thank you, it made her heart flourish like a blossom. You seemed so genuinely happy when you managed to speak to her and offer you help in the course.

She even heard you muttering about how you were glad to make a friend.

Oh... oh you... you may seem unassuming from your sweaters and oversized pants, but you — beautiful you — you were such a vixen; seducing her like that.

That night, she could not sleep at all.

Instead, she lulled over your notes in her one-person dorm, taking in the scent of the paper as she wondered whether the paper was accurate to how your delicate fingers actually smelled like.

She wanted those fingers so badly on her skin.

She had never desired anyone as much as she desired you. From a young age, her looks, her sensuality, and her popularity were all a means to an end — from that time she batted her eyelashes at a professor to round up her grade or flirted with the quarterback to get him to bring his crate of expensive beer to a party — but you were different. So different to the point she wanted to study you.

So she did.

It started out innocent — as innocent as it could be, really — by just tailing you after classes, even appearing out of nowhere so she could chat with you or maybe even drag you to cheer practice. Oh, your hands were so nice to touch, she didn't care if they were soft or callous, she just liked to touch you. She just loved the feel of your skin against her ebony-coloured hands. She was darker than most people so seeing the contrast made her rather pleased. It was a mark that you were holding her hand. As disgusting as it sounded, she didn't wash her hands till the scent of your hands faded away. If you used lotion, cologne or perfume, she made sure to buy that exact scent just to spritz around her dorm room to mimic the delusion that she was cuddling with you.

More than that, she utterly loved watching you from afar. Sure, talking to you was heaven for her, but seeing you alone, unfiltered, and without any societal pressures on you just made her want to latch onto you. She hoped one day you'd be able to show that part of yourself — unrestrained from social norms — to her. For now, she'll have to watch you from afar and from the camera she had snuck in when she came over to talk about a history essay for your class.

"Huh?" You responded as you looked down at the candies she placed into your hands. "Did I ever tell you I liked this kind of candy?" You racked your brain, attempting to find the memory where you had shared such an intimate detail with her. After all, the both of you aren't that close, yet, anyway.

She froze on the spot for a moment. She had never been so obsessed with someone before, so she was admittedly a bit sloppy but she quickly recovered. "I see you around campus always snacking on it, I hope you like it!" She explained, twisting her words to make them sound sweet.

"Thanks." You smile at her, and she swears she might faint. "See you in class?" You offered.

"Ye-yeah, see you in class." Katie had never been much of a fan of history, it was just something she picked out, but now she had something to look forward to.

"Are you coming to the game next week? I'll be cheering as usual, so you need to come! Cheerleaders need their own cheerleaders too, okay?"

(College!AU) imagine reader in a party (Maybe Chelsea's) hella drunk and all they do is nuzzle into Sitri (or whatever the name's of that big ass gem cat) and place kisses on it's face while cooing how cute Sitri is...Or it could be them doing the exact same thing but with one of the girls from the 'calm' group,ex:Hamel, Anne, Cinnabar and Sumire or like the secretly thirsty one ex:Kelvin and Ariel.

I prefer the idea of Reader cuddling Sitri at the party and just drunkenly peppering the poor kitty in so many kisses. Not that Sitri minds however, in fact; Sitri also pines for your attention and will oftentimes compete with the other women for your affection alone. All the women attending the party would be giving Sitri so many envious looks. Meanwhile, Sitri is just all smug as she purrs on your lap, letting you kiss her face till her entire head is just covered in your lipstick and hissing at any woman who dares try to come your way. (With the only exception being Chelsea)

Looks like Sitri is another “rival” for your love. And all the PTN women now have to compete against a cat of all people 😅

Unfortunately, I haven't gotten the chance to watch the most recent Barbie movie but I will be seeing Oppenheimer tonight :) very excited. This post was inspired by Margot Robbie as the original Barbie but I didn't make the setting of this piece the Barbie movie, keep that in mind :)! Barbara was a self-made woman. She earned a diploma in international business before becoming the chief executive officer of her own company. Thanks to not only her job but knowledge, she earns enough to set you both for life. Because of the morals her father raised her with, she knows how to treat a wornan, and takes full advantage of this to take care of you.

She is the personification of the quote Dolly Parton made about being an entrepreneur. "You know, I look like a woman but I think like a man And in this world of business, that has helped me a lot. Because by the time they think that I don't know what's goin' on, I then got my money, and gone."

Barbara spends her hard-earned money mindfully. She' donate to her choice of charities, gift inventory to soup kitchens, give away basic needs to shelters, she particularly enjoys fostering animals with you.

Another thing she enjoys using her money for is to show you the beauties of the world. Flying to Istanbul to taste the delicious flavors of a Turkish breakfast, taking you shopping in New York, London, Paris, Dubai and having a hot springs spa day with you.

You're outrageously spoiled and doted on by her. It's HER job to show you exactly how thankful she is for you, it fills her with undetainable rage to think about someone else trying to make you happy and take you away from her. Of course, you'd never leave her for anybody else, she just can't help but overthink.

Because of her severely accomplished corporation, she's expected to attend specific events. Does she have the money to hire a top tier tearn to help ready the two of you? Yes, but she can help you herself. She will zip your dress up. She will apply makeup to your soft and beautifully crafted face, she will be the one to kneel and apply the shoes she carefully selected to your feet.

She will be the one to take your hand in her perfectly manicured one in front of all the cameras.

Soon, your hand will have a ring with a pink sapphire settled on one of your fingers. She'll make sure the proposal goes absolutely perfectly.

She takes you on the loveliest dates and some of them are stay-in nights. She'll take out your matching silk pajamas out of her walk-in closet, place bunches of pillows and plushies onto her couch, prepare your favorite snacks + beverages and get your most favored movie/shows onto the TV.

Every time the two of you go for a day out, you find at least one of her arms wrapped around your waist. Barbara will hug you from the back while settling her face onto your shoulder, either standing in silence or talking to you mindlessly.

"whatcha doin' :)?" "I had a plan for what we could do tonight." "While I was at work today, I was thinking about where we could go for our honeymoon."

She'd admit (without shame) that she's a clingy wife. You could be preparing dough for some baked goods and she'll be hugging you tightly from behind, being shoulder to shoulder with you, holding your hand no matter what you're doing, asking to bathe and shower with you (in a sweet way) so she can help wash you but she just enjoys being near you.

Obviously.

She goes all out during Christmas, anniversaries, holidays, etc. On the morning of your birthday, she'll wake you up with dozens of kisses on your face, presents wrapped in pastel colored paper, your favorite foods that she cooked herself, homemade baked treats she learned to make from her parents, she'll also quickly mention that she booked a cabin and how your flight is set for that exact day.

Christmas is her absolute favorite holiday as it is for millions of people but no one celebrates like her. The whole house is decked out in decoration, inside and out. A white tree accompanied with ornaments, each painted with individually unique designs by the two of you. She doesn't set out some of the more special presents under the tree because she wants to keep you guessing in the best way. Each present meant for you will have a tag on them that has writing about how much she adores you.

Winter is the best season to cuddle with the one you love. She takes that to her advantage as well! Barbara will set you down onto her pink satin couch that has multiple blankets on it to cuddle in front of the fireplace with you, old timey Christmas music on the record player.
