The dust from their bout is only just starting to settle when piccolo decides it time to call for a break. His skin is drenched in sweat from intense exertion in the scorching summer sun, and you seem to be fairing no better than him, hunched over and stopping yourself from collapsing into a panting heap only by bracing your arms on your knees. Breath laboured, but standing tall he crosses his arms, staring down his nose unimpressed. “Don’t act so pathetic. Stand up, have a short water break and then we’ll get back to work on your offence,” he says, voice stern as he turns to walk toward the river nearby.

Looking up at his retreating form where you’re bent over trying to catch your breath you groan, but stand as instructed. “You sound like Vegeta,” you whine when you’ve caught up to him.

Side eyeing you, he fights a smile at the weary exhaustion on your face. “Vegeta wouldn’t let you quit until you collapsed unconscious,” he points out, watching your face contort at the many memories of such a thing happening in the past.

Music! Obvious one I think, who doesn't love music? But I love loud music with heavy instrumentals and screaming vocals blasting in my headphones, and quiet background jazz while I write, moody synths for a late night walk and oldies for a morning drive.

Reading! I don't read many books nowadays, but fanfiction and unpublished poetry is forever my escape from a world that never seems to stop.

Loved ones! I have so many wonderful people in my life, and while I tend to shut people out while I enjoy my hobbies, I start to go stir crazy a week without some solid socialization.

Coffee! Nothing better than waking up and picking out the mug I want, sitting outside with my cats while I play sudoku and kill my caffeine craving.

Making others happy! Leaving a nice comment on story or art piece I enjoyed, dropping an out of the blue text on my friends to say something that cheers them up, complimenting a strangers cool outfit! Seeing my choices to be kind impacting others and lighting them up is a feeling I've yet to find an equal to!

I just binge read this entire comic series, it is absolutely hilarious and adorable and somehow even hit just the right notes to make me well up!! Highly reccomend!!
