I saw bits of it when I was younger but recently I had rewatched the entire series from beginning to end and I forgot how funny it was lol I'm still impressed how they've been able to balance comedy and genuine drama and the timing made certain iconic scenes even better than how they were done originally like Gohan's "super duper sayan" mode and Trunks' death/vegeta's freakout
I hardly know much about the og dragon ball series' aside from random saban ocean dub episodes I saw a a kid, you know the really censored ones XD
