Dabi's back story as Todoroki Touya is very sad. He was once just a kid who loved his father and wanted to make him proud. He clung to his father's dream to the point of obsession. Then, for a very stupid reason, Todoroki Enji gave up on him and started to focus his attention on his other kids, eventually devoting all his time and attention to Shoto. Touya thought that if he continued to train and get stronger, his father would notice him...would love him again. He nearly died to make this happen, landing himself in a coma for 3 years. When he went back to see if things changed, they hadn't. It was as if Enji didn't care that he could have lost his son. Touya then realized that he was nothing but a discarded project. This broke him mentally and lead to the "death" of Touya and the "birth" of Dabi.

The thing was...deep down, he still wanted his father's affection, he still wanted his father to see him. Deep down, he still loved his father. This culminated in his final fight with Endeavor.

Dabi's story shows the effect that parent's actions have on their children. It is a lesson that ALL parents can learn from. Love your children, and show them you care, or you will lose them both literally and figuratively.

Oh my, that's lovely...it fits Dabi so much, especially with his white hair...although black would also go well with this look. Either way, he is going to be hot!

Hey, who are your fav ships (can be canon or non canon) from anywhere (animanga, tv shows, books, movies, etc)? Why you love them?

My favorite ships, huh? Well, I have touched on this already, but I will tell you the reason for my big ones...

NejiNaru: This was my first Fanon ship and my first Yaoi ship. You see, the Naruto series was my first anime obsession, and even now I still think up stories for it. I loved how Naruto was able to prove Neji's philosophy wrong and change Neji for the better. Neji thought highly of Naruto after that, an example of this is during the Sasuke Retrieval Arc, when Neji said that sometimes Naruto's eyes were better than his own. It hurt me in the feels when Neji died, but in my ship obsessed mind, the fact that he died in Naruto's arms was beautiful.

TodoDeku: First MHA ship and also my first trip into the Omegaverse fanfics. The reason is the same for NejiNaru. Shoto was pretty cold and aloof until his famous fight with Izuku, where our green-haired hero allowed himself to lose the fight and get seriously hurt for the sake of helping Shoto overcome his reluctance to use the fire half of his quirk. Izuku's bright, sun-shiny nature helps Shoto to open up and bond with people.

BakuDeku: This dynamic is different from TodoDeku. They were childhood friends from way back until Katsuki awoke his quirk and Izuku was found to be quirkless. Katsuki started looking down on Izuku, giving him the insulting nickname Deku because he wanted to feel superior to Deku. In reality, he felt weaker than Deku because he had the spirit of a hero. After the two of them joined U.A., this schism really became apparent. Slowly though, Katsuki starts to come to terms with his treatment of Deku and he wants to apologize. When Deku goes rogue, Katsuki joins the rest of 1-A in tracking him down to bring him home. This culminates with everything and leads to the apology that Katsuki wants to give. Their bond starts to strengthen, to the point that Katsuki is willing to give his life to protect Izuku.

DabiDeku: This is what I consider a "crack" ship, as I know it wouldn't happen in a million years, but I am drawn to it all the same!

MadaNaru: Another "crack" ship, but like the previous ship, I am simply drawn to it. Hell, I even started writing a fanfic of the ship when I was still active on FanFiction.net. It was quite popular too.
